#edmodochat Archive
Twitter Chats are a great way for you and other educators to collaborate, generate new ideas, and discuss various Edmodo-topics. During Twitter Chats, moderators lead a conversation on Twitter about a specific topic using a pre-determined #hashtag on every tweet, and participants can join in the conversation by responding with that #hashtag.
The amazing Edmodo Support Ambassadors organize a Twitter Chat every first and third Sunday of the month at 8pm Eastern using the hashtag #edmodochat.

Q4 What annoys you most about twitterchats? What would you like to see be different in ?
A3) Lots of things we could discuss. I think it's important that we try to keep the discussion as student-centered as possible.
Was wondering the same? What would you do different?
A4 when discussions don't go deeper than the question asked. It helps to have a co-moderator whose role is to probe.
A4 Not having ?s upfront- if chat is moving fast I don't have time to think be4 next ? appears.
A4 People who crash the chat w/ ads.Not sure how to stop.I guess it's good b/c it means is getting attention!
A4 It's difficult to see things previously posted. Glad will be archived!
They end up being slow . Prefer Hangouts, but that's just me
A4 Nothing really annoys me in Twitter chats in general!
A4: When people advertise things not related to the chat
A4 I don't like when people promote blogs. I have one, but don't promote during chats unless it is called .
A4 I'd like to see some polling of members of ideas. Maybe in topics or communities.
Edmodo has a lot of features that it seems know one knows about. Those need to be highlighted
I want to see PBL, gaming
A 4 I very seldom find tweets using the hashtag but not sharing our common interests or goals.
Great idea! https://t.co/tj25Q22i1s
A4 I'd like to see some polling of members of ideas. Maybe in topics or communities.
Or if the blog post is related to the topic being chatted about
A4) Nothing really annoys me about Twitter chats necessarily, but I like it when it's kept loose and fun.
A3: Using Edmodo for global collaboration. Best Uses of Small Groups in Edmodo.
Speed of chats can be annoying fast or slow
I think it's okay to mention it once, but not like every other Tweet! I like to see what people are working.
. I've found it to be more effort than its worth. FB Groups easier to use and get buy in from students teachers parents
It's coming! You read my mind, already in the works! https://t.co/DeOmCDZNeL
A4 I'd like to see some polling of members of ideas. Maybe in topics or communities.
A4 I agree.. .I don't like hashtag hijackers.
Fun is key for me! https://t.co/m8451T228u
A4) Nothing really annoys me about Twitter chats necessarily, but I like it when it's kept loose and fun.
that happened in some of our chats when it trends. While they can't be stopped, we can report/block them
. thanks for the feedback. It is always good to hear different points of view. .
. A4: When spammers show up. Have to stop and block them.
I'd have more robust customer service and teacher outreach. I feel like the product
for me there are 2 moments before: prepare clear and engaging Q's and during chat keep ongoing conversations
A5 I'd be open to a . It might be easier to keep the conversations alive !
Really need all ambassadors in chats
A5 my personal pov - not a fan of slow chats Sometimes gets lost in my day. @

Sheryl, what are you wondering about Topics? Curious!
Go back to small group of ambassadors, perhaps? Bigger buy in with smaller group?
- Oh no. I'm late to the chat. Heading to the timeout room.
I'd also like to see an on the new ISTE standards for students!
A5 I would participate in for give time for great thoughtful responses & participation if busy.
Also, I feel like Edmodo is run by bunch tech people who don't understand what it means to be a teacher.
That is what I like about the idea. There is an Topic in
Putting it on my calendar. Do you have a list to send out reminders? https://t.co/Q6PMz9VJSv

Registered and excited that it is not happening on my first day of school this year.
WOW That went by fast! Didn't want to take all your time in re-igniting chats but reallt appreciate your input!
Could not disagree more. Yes, sometimes there are tech issues, but I actually feel the complete opposite.
A5. I love slow chats as much as regular chats. Helps to get thoughts to 140 characters and more resources
Yes, reminders are on and tweeted.
Thank you for hosting . See you next time.
Have a good night, everyone!

A1: To connect with my PLN that makes me think and motivates me to learn more. https://t.co/ohD1MX6lF0
Q 1: Ok, here we go! In general, why do you participate in discussions?
A3: I would like to learn more about how to use for in my classroom. https://t.co/j0TfjLUNpS
Q3 What topics (and why) would you like to see in a future
I'm not talking about tech issues. I'm talking about community and
. the lack of diversity and age that is indicative of tech industry
Agreed. I'd like release staff diversity (race, gender, age) data like other tech cos
Again disagree as an edmodo or problem. Id anything, indicative of the teachers that are in the classroom right now
