A1: My interests drive my learning - the fact that I can learn about ANYTHING I want by finding resources online has helped me immensely. I'm often influenced by like-minded people making suggestions :) #minecraftedu

It's interesting concept. I completely agree with you, but at the same time, I seek counterpoints to my own philosophy (IE: Trump) to get me riled up and seek new insights. Very important when it comes to news feeds/social media #MinecraftEDU
A1: I think in the beginning it was books. Now it's definitely Internet (indirectly others) and just asking folks directly. It always comes down to learning from others. The trick is finding the correct person or source.

A2 - Sometimes some students NEED direction. I've seen students walk into the wonderland that is my tech rooms and after being shown all the possibilities ask "So what should I do?" This could hinder student directed learning. Gotta find the passion! #MinecraftEDU

Agreed. 140 was an art, you had to craft your tweets. Chrome has an extension that limits your tweets to 140 still, but I have not yet installed It. #MinecraftEDU
@pickleberry1234 I've found with older students linking learning activities to real careers can help. With younger students link learning activities to generic winners like Space, Dinosaurs, Vikings, Robots, Castles and Princesses etc... helps. #MinecraftEDU
A3: This is a great question! I LOVE sitting with a student and trying to troubleshoot / model the learning as I learn alongside them. #colearning#minecraftedu Likewise - when I hit a block, I love to ask the kids to support me with their expertise!
Yeah, it’s a good way to scaffold it, because #MinecraftEDU coding is initially simpler for them directly on @codeorg - Now we’ve begun to transition the skills over to the game

a2: I am always amazed by the diversity of the projects Educators create using MC:EE. Resources such as lesson plans, maps and videos are amazing. #MinecraftEdu

a3: I just talked to my Ss about how we work in an office. All humans need to take a break a refocus at times! Allow this to happen in the classroom! #MinecraftEdu Respect our students as people.

a4: I have found @classcraftgame has allowed my students to change their mindset about who is in charge of their learning. It has encouraged students to be self-accountable as they complete tasks in MC:EE #MinecraftEdu

A2: #minecraftedu and other well planned #gbl let Ss be creative and design their learning. Drawback: Hard to stay in confined curriculum. That's why I didn't answer Q1. Just don't know how. BTW @MGrundel the 140 char @googlechrome extension isn't working 4 me.

A4: If you are not reviewing lessons on https://t.co/fuu7ENiZh5 you are really missing out! Also, I love the Java Version of #MinecraftEDU for other resources like @tinkercad and MCreator!

When you allow the students to chose their own quest does that cause any miscommunication, also do students spread out evenly between the quests or does it tend to be a follow the crowd type of effect when they have this opportunity? #MinecraftEDU
I have used the new structure blocks, but have not exported them into the AR app yet. Looks really cool though. /give @p structure_block 0 1 #MinecraftEDU
What do you mean by miscommunication? The entire course is quest based and they get XP based on which quests they complete so they understand the flow of the class and the expectations. Some quests become more popular for a number of reasons for sure #minecraftedu
A5: I have looking over kids shoulders to see what games are interesting to them and instantly try to work in an educational angle. Cannot help myself! #MinecraftEdu

A4: Start with a SOLE lesson for Ss and let #MinecraftEdu be the formative assessment. Also give Ss a choice in how to display their knowledge; Google Apps, Maker Space,App smashing, Legos, and more.

A5: Since I teach game design we do a lot of research on different games and game genres. Students review games and we talk about games a lot. Always find myself looking through the @steam_games store as well. Speaking of which ... Steam Sale ENDING soon #minecraftedu

a5: ABOVE ALL, seek advice from people with great experience. People who have been in the field for a long time - ol'timers...like gool Old Framer Grundel. #MinecraftEdu
The cool thing is that the entire course is run this way so it is neat to see students explore paths and determine how far down the quest line they want to go - some go so far I have to add quests to keep feeding their interest :) #minecraftedu
