Alex here - #techdir from NJ - wishing everyone paying attention to #edtechchat tonight a Happy new Year! everyone else.....I hope they are enjoying the games :)
A1 A tiny bit, but had a lot of things that I wanted to work on, write, accomplished some things with focus and not moving till progress made #edtechchat
A1 I did take a break and spent time with my family-I left everything at school! Today however I have been working on my tech badges for school!! #edtechchat
A1 I was able to disconnect from work and enjoy a mini vacation. Having two young children helped. I also planned my work days so I knew when I could play and when I needed to have my nose in the books/docs/plans/legos/notes/maps/anthologies. #edtechchat
A2: I always have a hard time picking the one word thing - I want a phrase or something - and then it's February or march before I pick it and I miss the whole point #edtechchat
This is an awesome challenge that I learned from @WickedDecent & @amyburvall in their book, @IntentionBook. Frankenword will pop up in my classroom this week when Ss share their goals for the new year. #edtechchat

A2: Content. I don't really like the city I live in. I love my job, but I'm really struggling here. Hoping 2018 will help me become content where I am! #edtechchat
A3: Got grant money in over winter break, so I'm excited about purchasing Microbits and more @Raspberry_Pi items, and doing some amazing things with my students. #edtechchat
A3 10 days left in semester, so looking forward to wrapping up with one set of HSs and starting fresh with another to build literacy skills #edtechchat
A3 I'm looking forward to growing along with my Ss, the development of a maker space, finalizing the #edtech curriculum review, and pushing for a full time tech integrator. #edtechchat#21stCenturyNeeds

I'll be at #FETC as we as #ISTE, very excited. I am excited to not know what the 2nd half of the year may bring. Always exciting to see things enfold. #edtechchat
Glad to be back in the swing of things but I need to get back into the swing of things. I have some prep work waiting on the other side of the laptop screen. Have a great week #edtechchat.
a3b: I look forward to continue planning forward for our new building for the new year. I'll be at FETC, speaking at the Alexa Conference, and hosting a Digital Learning Day #edtechchat
OK - any vendor that just tweets at #edtechchat during the chat should be required to send every active participant in the chat a free demo to keep #givemetoys

A1: A little break! I’m taking a masters course during this intercession. Any day when I don’t have time constraints is a good break for me! #edtechchat
Depends on how else you define support, but yes we have had program and our DOE visit (on our invite) and they provide resources, including some financial guidance. #edtechchat

That is some great advice right there. Maybe @thomascmurray has some Twitter availability the afternoon of the 12th to chat with my teams? ;) I will have to ask... #edtechchat

A3: I’m looking forward to meeting with teachers and setting goals and helping support them through it. I’m also hoping to start an “Appy Hour” to show Ts some of the cool tech Ss can use #edtechchat (and finishing up my masters!)
So far we have flightless fowl, ransacking rodents, entertaining sea creatures, AI, Skynet, and Cyber security - I think I like the animals better #edtechchat
OK - any parting thoughts from anyone as we wrap up the first #edtechchat of 2018? Not sure the transcript or podcast will be worth much on this one :)
