A1: My one word, Belief (in self, students, & power of positivity) has affected my approach to teaching by reminding me to BELIEVE that Ss can reach those high standards, & BELIEVE that I have things to share with others. My approach is now examines those aspects. #MakeItReal
A1 My #oneword is self-care (cheating with the hyphen). I chose it because I have had some pretty big things happen in my life recently. It has helped me remember that Ts and Ss also have lives outside of school and emotional health is important. #MakeItReal
A1: #Relentless means that "NO" is not an acceptable response. We must keep digging and striving to find the way in. At first failure, will we give up or dust off and try again? I choose to be #relentless and lead others to follow in my wake. #MakeItReal

#oneword#MakeItReal a1 was meraki this year and it is tempting to go there again. I regained my sense of what truly drives me on good days and bad. Being a student this year meraki drove me when I wanted to quit too. It lifted me.
Q1: Perseverance...I have had to model it for my students as I have been slowly switching to SBG...but also patience in my fats switch to flexible seating. I have had to work hard to persevere to do what's best for my Ss while looking a pedagogy and theory. #MakeItReal
A1: My #oneWord was "Peace." Peace because I switched districts, peace that reminds me God has this under control and I shouldn't try to second-guess Him. He has everything under control! #MakeItReal

A1 My #oneword: lift! It's consistently made me think abt how to support others while still lifting curr to a higher level. I'm right there engaged in the midst of lrng, but not the only one working towards understanding. It's social, academic, physical & spiritual. #makeitreal
A2: Always been one to have high standards for S achievement generally, but now I stretch my thinking to what I can dream is possible for Ss, and then I set about making it happen. Flattening my classroom walls has been a big part of that. #MakeItReal
A2: My one word of moderation affected my Ss by making me more creative in the items we used in class. I used to buy supplies, like many Ts, for Ss in class, but moderation included limited my spending as well. #MakeItReal
A1: My #oneword was ALL! I want to be my all and give my all each day! This has impacted me to be present, creative, and find ways to empower others to greatness! I love what I do each day. It is my passion! #MakeItReal
Tiling a bathroom is like being a principal. You've got to chip away what doesn't work anymore, lay a new foundation that can support and connect the new material, then work diligently until it's organized and finished. But then...keep it clean and cared for! #MakeItReal
A2: I realized that I need to model perseverance for my students as well. Some call it "grit," but the realization that not everything is always going to go the way you planned-and that's okay! I keep challenging my Ss to not give up just because something is "hard." #MakeItReal
A2: It has helped me to re-light a fire in their soul again about school. At one point, they actually woke up each day and wanted to go, but over time that fire has waned. It's time to breathe on those embers and embrace a "WHY NOT?" approach! #relentless#MakeItReal
A2 #oneword self-care has influenced me to thing more about teaching executive function and modeling strategies like notetaking, using a planner, metacognition, etc. #MakeItReal
A1: my growing in my Faith has helped me see what’s a “kingdom battle” & what’s not; I think I’ve improved in my relation skills with other educators. #MakeItReal
A2: I believe that each and every child was placed in my care for a reason, even the difficult ones (or their parents). I continually try to be at peace with what we can learn from each other. #MakeItReal

I have been so swamped, but I have been loving the #4OCFpln thread. My watch broke so I had to turn my sound up on my phone. With each @voxer message, it was a reminder that I was not alone. It was like someone cheering for me throughout the day. #grateful#MakeItReal
#makeitreal a2 Meraki came when I was so depressed. It was one of the tools to let me rebuild and that inner child happiness has to come out when I see students trying, testing, trying again. The ta da moments need meraki to bring them out. oh and happy dance.
Sorry I’m late. I just want to say that I’m really so glad that so many people remember their #OneWord - and that Denis is bringing it back into focus and reminding us to reflect and revisit it. It’s important to maintain that focus & purpose. #makeitreal

A3: Well, at first I thought I'd failed miserably because I did NOT moderate my professional development this year.
