A2: My classroom is working more with Ts, so my perfect January classroom has Ts and staff coming to me to learn how to use Technology as a tool with instruction or just for ideas/assistance with planning authentic lessons, but also inviting me more into their rooms. #NoVAedchat
A2: I hope in January to see a well-oiled machine in my classroom - Ss who understand expectations and routines, & can work independently/collaboratively when appropriate. This will lead to LOTS of great music making! 🎶 #NoVAedchat

A3: I was able to integrate @Flipgrid into all my classes and started using it as a way to connect my Ss with our partner school in France. Now I can easily hear from all Ss in the class and even my quieter Ss are sharing their voices. It’s amazing!!! #NoVAedchat

A3 connecting w/as many educators at trainings, PDs, cohorts, Ed Camps, (or on Twitter) as possible opened up so many opportunities for me! Taking the opportunity to hurdle out of my comfort zone (usually by speaking in front of large group) brought me so much growth! #NoVAedchat

A3 Flex seating! Feel like I made improvements this year, but I’ve learned it’s a living thing that always requires adjustments. Also, I organized my curriculum thematically by semester. It helped me approach my literature in a more cohesive way. #novaedchat
Q3. Our project based learning (PBLs) where amazing. My first graders learned so much and produced much more than they would have in the past #NoVAedchat
A3 I notice that no one said anything along the lines of, well something that worked well for my last year was doing the same thing I do every year. Trying up new things, shaking up your learning and teaching is theee best! For students and you! #novaedchat
A4 I want to make a Growth Mindset classroom and I want my Ss in Strats to have more than a study hall. I want them to make some gains in their skills, not just grades. #Novaedchat

A4 When I look back to the person I was at this time last year, I am so proud of how much I have learned & much more confident I have am. I hope to take every opportunity (within reason) this year that comes my way to push me in to becoming a better version of myself #novaedchat

A4 I hope to keep finding ways to incorporate student choice while successfully getting through an AP curriculum and grow in my knowledge and depth of understanding about leadership (because, ya know, #gradschool). #novaedchat

A5: I want to work on allowing my Ss to have more choice in how they demonstratetheir learning. My school just went completely 1:1, so learning how to best use the tech tools is a learning curve for all of us. My plan is to continue to attend PD and connect with Ts #NoVAedchat

A5: I have 2. One is a personal goal and the other a professional goal. Professional goal is to get with at least 1 T to plan & implement a true PBL. My personal goal is to get back into the swing of being active again. I've been in a rut and to get out. #NoVAedchat
A5 One intention I have for the first half of the year is to really work on balance. Between life, teaching, grad school, department chair duties, class sponsoring, I know that I have a lot to juggle, but I love all of it. Supportive family and coworkers are key! #NoVAedChat
A5: I want to better manage MY time, so I too can work "smarter not harder" as the year progresses. While I will continue to want to do "all the things," allowing myself to do fewer things better is important. #NoVAedchat
A5 In a self contained setting - ensuring I have a clearly communicated instructional plan and schedule. This makes the daily “emergencies” easier to manage because everyone in the room knows what needs to happen, regardless. #Novaedchat
A5: I’m teaming again w/ my awesome friend & colleague, @kdreyer12! My goal is to continue our work together creating active learning exercises which build skills and allow Ss choice in reading & writing #NoVAedchat

A5: To achieve my goals I will be attending the PLC meetings with the other instructional coaches to help the staff see me as more tha just "The tech guy". I will also work on creating a plan for a lifestyle change. (Food, workout, mental balance, etc.) #NoVAedchat
