We had a snow day the last day before break (which was also my birthday!) but I didn't find out until I put my boots and coat on and was ready to walk out the door! #dojochat

A3: I don't make formal resolutions...I try to be better all the time ππ»ββοΈ but really...I just want to learn and grow more. Expand my following, maybe start a blog (if I can think of a fun name) #dojochat

A5 We are really working on the power of YET and growth mindset! I want them to always think and speak positively about their education. β€οΈ #dojochat
A5: We made a list in K..required a lot of support from me, but some good ideas were shared "Be kind" "Spell better" "Read books by myself" and my favorite: "Count to '10 hundred'" Then we learned 10hundred= 1000 βΊοΈ #dojochat
A6: Use the @classdojo videos to teach them the power of yet, and teach replacement vocabulary. I will also boost their confidence by giving them more opportunities to succeed. #dojochat
A6: I am a firm believer of intrinsic motivation....few rewards in my class. I try to keep content, fun and engaging, give Ss a lot of freedom and always praise first, then correct to learn and grow. #dojochat

A7 Allow mistakes! The hardest part about resolutions is that as soon as we mess up, we give up. We need to allow ourselves the human trait of mistakes, learn from them, and move forward. #dojochat

A7 My students wrote their goals on their desk every morning w/ a dry erase marker. That way they saw them all day and other Ss and I would do check ins for accountability. #DojoChat

A8: Our school wide goals sometimes don't focus on my SPED kiddos (they're mostly based on testing that my students don't count towards) but I try my best to support my gen-ed counter parts and give them new strategies they might not have thought of, etc. #dojochat

A9 LOTS of new teachers at one of my schools this year. Sometimes they just need an ear to listen, vent, and understand. I am able to provide that - and some cool edtech tools, too! #DojoChat
A9: Excellent Q, @smithstrws ! Teaching talk can turn very negative, esp. when T is tired, frustrated, etc. I try spin discussions in a more constructive manner & encourage other Ts to try new things. I send weekly emails featuring one or two tech tools or events. #dojochat
