Q1: Each year, with my 1st year computer science students, I do an activity where they learn a project management technique called Agile Scrum. We do it by building a city using Legos. It's so much fun watching these high schoolers become "kids" again. :) #FLedChat
A1: my fav lesson so far was having the kids design their own website on Drawings. They didn’t even realize that “real people” could make websites. Minds were blown & a good time was had by all. Love their creativity! #FLedChat

My fave lessons involve CGI Math, I soooooo love when Ss begin to explain/defend/understand their thinking. I also love watching them build stamina...like today, I got tears, because of MATH. I’m thinking the rapture’s around the corner! #FLedChat

A2: I would have loved to have tied it into a lesson on fake news and checking sources since they learned that anyone can make a website but I didn’t think of it until later. #FLedChat
I would recommend checking out @DanielPink while at it, his latest books about motivational factors and timing factors are great reads as well as earlier book about left brain vs right brain thinking #FLedChat

A2: For my formal observation my last year in the classroom, I tried a collaborative group lesson with about 7 different roles I never asked the Ss to be in before. It crashed and burned- hard. My evaluator started our post-conference with, "So how did that go for YOU" #fledchat
A3: I know there have been many, but can't think of many now. Maybe when I went to do a VR lesson, only to realize the headsets weren't charged. #fledchat
A3: When I first introduced HTML tables to my students. I didn't realize many of them had never even seen a spreadsheet before. Had to back up and start from scratch. #FLedChat

I don’t think I ever had a lesson that went exactly they way I planned ... the kids alter the direction ... I take away some and add other elements on the fly ... adjusting to the needs of the students #FLedChat
