Caitlin here, former teacher now living the dream with ClassDojo ๐ My Thanksgiving was full of good company, good food, aaaaaand more food ๐ #dojochat#startingwiththeGIFsearly!
We were turkied out until Sunday, then I got creative and made turkey enchiladas, turkey stew, and stuffing and turkey casserole #dojochat#toomuchturkey
A1 I am somewhat comfortable working with technology. I am a para, and learn along the way with my head teacher. I am pursuing my masters in special ed. I would love to learn more about how to incorporate it in the classroom. #dojochat
Q1. I'm becoming more comfortable with technology when I am open to trying new things. Right now I'm hooked on Seesaw and of course Class Dojo #dojochat
@CristinaT1231 I really love how enthusiastic you are when presenting technology to your students AND fellow teachers! Thank you for sharing your innovative ideas and implementation of technology for us to see and try! #dojochat

Agreed. Im at a 1 to 1 school, but so often the laptops have issues that they're not totally reliable and students don't always have a device. #dojochat
Class Stories is my favorite feature on Class Dojo by far. We post daily about our class events. Parents are very connected because of this feature. #dojochat
A2: Pretty satisfied, We're very close to being a 1:1 school, I would like more ipads/tablets for my kiddos but sometimes us SPED peeps get forgotten about... :-/ #dojochat
A2: we all wish we had more more more. But how much do you have? My Ss have 6 school iPads...I have 7 from donors choose and 5 chrome books. I dream of going 1:1 with iPads #dojochat#ipaded
A2 Iโm very satisfied- my students always have access to chrome books. In my perfect world, each of my sped kiddos would also have a reader/note taking tech pen.... if anyone knows what Iโm talking about here #dojochat
A 2: I would be somewhat satisfied. It is always hard when a program goes down. I see teachers who struggle with smart boards to get them to function correctly. Do people use smart board technology still in the classroom? #dojochat
We have some older laptops. I don't remember the brand (Im on maternity leave right now) these are the biggest issue. We also have some iPads. #dojochat
Class Stories is used as an ongoing blog in my classroom and parents are notified everyday of activities we are doing as a whole. Such a great feature. #dojochat
Yes this feature has really transformed my classroom and has helped develop community with my parents. The translation feature is the best part since 60% of our families speak Spanish. #dojochat
Something like this .. but there are so many different kinds! Some record audio, this one in particular can scan words on a page, read them aloud and define them! #dojochat
A3: Here it is! Start sharing! I love RazKids for my Ks but our free trial ran out. Great online resource for leveled readers & tracking growth #dojochat
A3: I used to use @myONreader in my classroom and my kiddos loved it on the computer and the ipads, but our district got rid of it ๐ญ I would love to get some @AmazonKindle fires for my classroom, That might be my next @DonorsChoose#dojochat
A3 I love how on Raz Kids, students can record themselves reading for you to hear. Learned a lot... was VERY obvious when I listened to a reader and his mom was telling him the words he was stuck on EVERY time๐คฆโโ๏ธ We talked about this!!! #dojochat
A3: This is something I would LOVE to learn more about! We have used audio books for our reluctant readers to give them a different way to read. I am so curious as to what else is out there! #dojochat
A3: I love https://t.co/AFI3qjJwjD
its a website full of read alouds done by celebrities! I've used it in 1st grade but there's tons of books to enjoy! #dojochat
A4: Prek-1 teachers look into @TigglyKids combining hands on manips with tech. If you can't get the manips, the apps alone are my Ss favorite "free choice" game! #dojochat
I use @SplashMath but that's a paid website...and @ABCyaGames or even just a simple whiteboard app & have kids create their own math problems! #dojochat
You're on a deserted island and you can only use one app. NO you may not use the app to call for help, it has to be used to teach... what can't you live without!? ๐ #dojochat Q6
A6: I love the messaging feature on dojo. Our parents tend to respond to that faster than any other method of communication. Probably because its on their phones. #dojochat
A6 continued... also let's be real... I LOVE my music, so I'm not giving up my @Spotify app. Teachers need to keep their sanity, and music helps me with that ๐ #dojochat (Kids get the Radio on Toolkit โค๏ธ https://t.co/2oEIWmmWIu)
A6: Wow where to start with this... my Mac, Common Core and NGSS apps and the Scannable app! I don't have a regular scanner available to me all the time, but this can app can scan documents into PDFs from your phone! #dojochat
A7 That's HARD! Does it help Ss express themselves? Does it help me understand my Ss better? Does it save us time or cause a nuisance? Does it better the learning experience? #dojochat plus, every kiddo is DIFFERENT!
A8: Just play with it, get on your home computer and play around get used to it in the comfort of your own home before you bring it to school. Also, ask a nerd like me ๐คfor help if you need it. #dojochat
A8: We all have those Ts who are petrified of tech. How can we ease their fears and make them feel empowered? I remind them of the magic of mistakes! TRY and FAIL it's ok :) #dojochat#mojo#mojoknowsbest
