Hey, Ben. Is NV for Nevada?
I'm leading by modeling and helping Ts see through the eyes of their learners.
A1: a T leader is one who takes risks and shares his or her successes to help others
Yeah but we don't discriminate all those people who aren't lucky enough to live here join the fun! https://t.co/dcW2QTp6DJ
Hey, Ben. Is NV for Nevada?
A1 A teacher leader isn't afraid to take risks and inspires colleagues to do the same
A1: Teacher leaders are those that try new things, crash and burn, and get back up and keep plugging, keeping other Ts informed
A1 Leader helps colleagues be their nests
A1-A T leader is an individual who stands up for what they believe while being willing to see others perspectives.
A1- someone who takes risks, sometimes fails and owns it, willing to listen and try new things.
that's key-when we walk in their shoes we see all the good & bad-its how we get better https://t.co/XTOyOPTjM6
I'm leading by modeling and helping Ts see through the eyes of their learners.
A1: A teacher who takes action for the good of other teachers and beyond the walls of their own classroom.
A teacher leader is a connected and drives change
A1-A teacher leader embraces change and analyzes results
Risk taking HUGE! putting yourself out there is key to getting others to take those next steps https://t.co/ErLynOK7uW
A1: a T leader is one who takes risks and shares his or her successes to help others
A3: Teacher leaders open dialogue with those around them and convince others to try things, good things will happen!
A1 A leader helps colleagues be their bests
A1 teacher leaders are always willing to help other teachers (new teachers=ME🖐)
Wow we just had a tweet deck failure Question 2 is coming up
A3: Teacher leaders are able to roll with things and adapt. Persistence leads to change
We must create spaces that value student voice & autonomy. Be guided by even the most challenging students
A3: Maintain a positive outlook, work towards a shared vision and encourage other Ts to do same, be well informed and share it.
A1: TLs are innovative risk takers who can see the big picture. They are willing to try if if they may fail.
Too many stay in their turtle shell when all they need is a little encouragement!
Excellent definition! Important that leaders aren't always successful-but keep coming back to the drawing board
I had no idea that ever failed! I wondered where Q2 went! :)
A sure sign of a culture of learning https://t.co/XU15zndCkc
A3: Teacher leaders open dialogue with those around them and convince others to try things, good things will happen!
We didn't get into this biz knowing we would be winners all the time, right?
A3 be clear about the change that is needed and start working the steps. Be the change you want to see
A3: TLs can make changes happen by being advocates, researchers, learners, mentors, and learners. They lead by example.
Let's reflect on this. You counted to 3 and missed No.2. Meatloaf gave great advice, "Two out of three ain't bad!"
A2- malleability, open to learning.
A2-T Leaders have to inspire-be willing to share successes..and failures! Keep end goal in mind, yet be flexible along the way
So I've been modeling taking risks and using scheduled tweets but apparently its not wanting to work https://t.co/fa2vRkjPGK
A2: a good teacher leader is open, approachable, but also firm and assertive in their belief of influencing change
teacher leaders are patient while having enough "kick" to get the job done, they're not afraid to speak up
A2: Empathetic, innovative, connected, flexible
A2: They are caring, they listen, they are collaborative, they share, they are in it for the outcome of everyone in the bldg.
I call that a win-in baseball I'd take that average https://t.co/QYlqd2YytM
Let's reflect on this. You counted to 3 and missed No.2. Meatloaf gave great advice, "Two out of three ain't bad!"
A2: they possess the ability to risk take, take feedback, engage, initiate.
Didn't seem to affect the chat! Q2 and Q3 going strong! Rock on !
Teacher leaders are constant learners!
I've always wondered if tweeps quickly whip these up or have them on hand. Share your secret? :)
such a fine line-need to know when to coach soft & when to coach hard https://t.co/xPtudVmGxQ
A2: a good teacher leader is open, approachable, but also firm and assertive in their belief of influencing change
It's all good! That's what leaders do!
A2. Collaborative attitude key to effectiveness
Right. That has been my biggest lesson this yr going 1:1.
so whats the secret to "igniting" that passion in others? How do you get your colleagues engaged? https://t.co/re1EiWiiM7
A2: they possess the ability to risk take, take feedback, engage, initiate.
yeah! Haven't heard your "voice" in a while-glad you could join us!
Question 3 coming up in 1 minute
I'm on the fence in my 1:1 belief, love the idea on paper, but in reality, will every T use them to the fullest?
agree-most challenging are sometimes most in-tune with what we need to change-sometimes a bitter pill https://t.co/eLANsWWZqt
We must create spaces that value student voice & autonomy. Be guided by even the most challenging students
leadership theme so far: collaboration, trust, flexibility
Has to come with good modeling & education on how to use-just giving computers 2 Ss won't get it done https://t.co/VvZX1p91lH
I'm on the fence in my 1:1 belief, love the idea on paper, but in reality, will every T use them to the fullest?
teacher leaders do what's best for their students...no matter whose toes are stepped on.
Yes that's right we are going to get question 2 over again-ground hog day???? https://t.co/zxbL9ldtFF
Question 3 coming up in 1 minute
And risk taking, inspiring others to action, staying informed.
Indeed. Everyone will take their own path if allowed--but paths must cross at vision for driving change
Let's clarify: A teacher leader is a leader of teachers, or a teacher who is a leader?
true-when we remember who we work for-kids-then we sometimes have to rock the boat https://t.co/4gSDLegGVa
teacher leaders do what's best for their students...no matter whose toes are stepped on.
why not both? https://t.co/wLE57Qi9M8
Let's clarify: A teacher leader is a leader of teachers, or a teacher who is a leader?
willing to drop everything to help others
some of the best leaders I have seen aren't tagged as "teacher leaders" they just bring it
I think both! Leading by example can be as powerful "leading."
Yeah! You made it! My Friday Folders are waiting tomorrow am...
teacher leaders don't always have the "leader" tag applied to them formally-they are those who we wish 2 b when we grow up
I'm leading by mentoring a student intern and leading math discussions with others.
Yes! Stepping on toes... that just comes with the territory.
We are wrapping in up in a couple of minutes but thanks for joining and enduring the question fail
Bonus Question time! How are you going to use what you learned tonight?
I definitely stepped on some today! We're working on whats best for S learning, not whats convenient!
My favorite question of !!
https://t.co/3Ef2RdBS2R
Bonus Question time! How are you going to use what you learned tonight?
Don't forget to follow the people you've tweeted with tonight! build that PLN
Bonus: Keep fighting the good fight and encouraging Ts around me, emphasizing the Ss
true leaders know collaboration is key-when you think you can do it alone you doom yourself to failure https://t.co/EeG4SZHM4S
leadership theme so far: collaboration, trust, flexibility
Bonus: to keep me inspired to lead!
1/2 Remember that teachers have been questioned about doing what is best for students if they don't support certain policies
2/2 It's gotten somewhat better, but some are still nursing wounds from those battles.
