Hello out there. 4th and 5th grade multiage classroom teacher in Maine. Ready to break through creative ceilings with @nathan_stevens leading the way. #edtechchat
Hello, I’m Keith from NH. I’m joining for my Tech in Ed class at SNHU. I am a music ed major interested in bringing tech into the music classroom. #edtechchat#edu435
A1 Lately, I feel my need to create is on overload. Hubby & I started a blog AND a YouTube channel, & I started writing and sharing lesson ideas, also looking at how all can benefit from #accessibility tools. (presented this at a conference!) #edtechchat
A1 I am honestly NOT a creative guy, so for me I would have to say a culture that encourages the Ts and Ss do those all those creative things for me. #edtechchat
A1 A long time ago in a forested patch not too far away I taught outdoor education and crafted a 16 foot balance scale with trashcans at each end. We used this device to monitor our garbage output. #edtechchat
A1: Made an old bar top out of repurposed barn beams. As well as DIY caged light fixtures. With students - getting ready to run a drone day using @ParrotEducation drones and @WorkbenchPlat! Using #designthinking to have students design a new use for drones. #edtechchat
A1: @nearpod has become such a useful tool in my classroom - I've created some lessons for math that incorporate facts and word problems that teach social diversity #edtechchat
A1 Also, my Ss are going to get creative building "Sticky Structures" using gum drops and toothpicks after we read #IggyPeckArchitect by @andreabeaty today #edtechchat

A2 I am blown away by most of what my Ss create. Currently Ss are presenting their family trees. So many creative ways to show their history. Also started a soundtrack project for lit books and am liking the way they are thinking outside the box. #edtechchat
A1 - I try to make eye catching announcements using Canva or Adobe products. It’s not very often I work on projects where I get to focus on creativity but sometimes it’s the creativity that helps get people’s attention for topics that are not always exciting. #edtechchat
A1: I like to think the choice in activities that I provide for my students are pretty creative. The hope is that they spur their creativity and love of learning #passionEdu#edtechchat
A2: I always had creative projects during #geniushour projects. Not all were completed but it was awesome hearing students' ideas. Nacho Volcanos, Innovative BDay Cards with video. Conversations were interesting and we enjoyed these days! #edtechchat
Recently created a name plate with a 3D printer that will go on my future desk. Piggy backing on that, music students could use 3D software to create and print new and exciting instruments. #edtechchat#edu435
A1: Tech creativity or in general? I'll try most things. I put together a vision board party for 100 Ss. I used Canva for all the flyers and announcements. Not sure how creative any of that was, but they outcome was amazing. #edtechchat
A2 - Some students have taken to using Adobe products in an expressive art class. Using photoshop to make collages, or even graffiti projects. Adobe Education Exchange has great resources to facilitate projects like this. #edtechchat
A2: my students ooze creativity! They create their own games, visual masterpieces in #minecraft etc. They creatively engineer and automate stuff. Every day provides an opportunity to discover what they will come up with. #edtechchat
We started a digital art class about 4 years ago, and we now have had to add a traditional art teacher, as the class exploded, and we now have multiple classes and sections. It is wild to see what is produced. #edtechchat
A2 Sometimes the simple things work best. When offering a list of possibilities for project work to students I end with "other." This simple addition is a huge invitation to think in creative ways. #edtechchat
A3: Great question. I know I sound like a broken record sometimes, but I do love me some #minecraft. Besides that - there's so much fun in exploring new tools in order to increase creativity. @MergeVR@playcraftlearn#unity3d#ARVRinEDU - so many cool creativity apps #edtechchat
Have you tried the start from a topic tool? LOVE IT! and the Ss love the jumpstart to their presentations! Plus, #Sway looks like a website when done. #MIEExpert#MIETrainer#edtechchat
A3 The ones that allow me the most control, and do the least for me. A text editor is my day to day go to tool. Then, an IDE, a development environment. #EdTechChat
A3 This one is hard. I have loved seeing what students have done with some of the Google Products, but Adobe, Autodesk, SKetchup just to name a few. Heck just watching what some of the Ss do on their cell phones with the camera app, and some editor can be amazing. #edtechchat
A3 I love using @tinkercad for letting out my creative side. It is more than just 3D printing. Great place for coding and LEGO modeling #EdTechChat here are my Edcamp champ badges that I hand out at Edcamps.
A3- We have licenses for adobe for all our macs. Ts and Ss have the entire suite available to them. Some have started using Canva as an option on Chromebooks, too. The problem is that having the sw isn’t enough. They need to be inspired and encouraged. #edtechchat
I love me some graph paper recently, ,my thinking on paper gets more and more non-linear as writing doesn't exist in some false online and offline dichotomy #edtechchat#mb (https://t.co/18z5p2X6YJ)

A3: Random - Using @nounproject add-on in #GoogleSlides #@GoogleForEdu been also getting into creating using @cospaces_edu and @MergeVR cube addon Looking forward to developing ways these can be used in the classroom #edtechchat
A3 Minecraft is an often used tool in my classroom. Cardboard and hot glue gets equal love as well. A bonus to my work in class has been the greatness of @WickedDecent and @IntentionBook = keystone. #edtechchat
Not sure coding or animation has to be everyone's path to #edtechchat gimme a woodshop any day....wish I knew how to use stuff in a woodshop... (https://t.co/VXvq1AwHhx)
I use Disneyland as my introductory sample. Safe images and they love it. Here's a video I made to show others how I introduce it: https://t.co/gzHLQceFa7#edtechchat
A3 There are so many tools to help and enhance creativity- Any thing that causes the student to think outside of the box. Normal objects or even programs like Microsoft word allow for the student to be original. #edtechchat
Creativity comes in many forms and does not always have to be static. #edtechchat Loose Parts: Children as Creators rather than Consumers https://t.co/ukV4W1wNaP
We don't do this enough. We recently went into exam review and normally we use electronic review games. I decided we would go "old school" with life size bowling, tic tac toe, spin the wheel, etc. #EdTechChat#cuesnews
A2 https://t.co/y89CzTyQ36 This is a video from one of our programming classes. The S's were given a task of moving the ball, and they created and programmed the methods. #edtechchat
A4: Unfortunately w/ my classes my Ss are limited to paper, pencils and crayons...hopefully in their classrooms and w/ art they get to use a greater variety of materials #edtechchat
A4 Anything and everything! Now that we're a hybrid district, I've seen them bounce back and forth between Google and Microsoft, laptops/Chromebooks/mobile devices, but what I hear the most are @PlayCraftLearn#Minecraft and #YouTube#edtechchat
A2 https://t.co/y89CzTyQ36 This is a video from one of our programming classes. The S's were given a task of moving the ball, and they created and programmed the methods. #edtechchat
A4- We provide them with access to @AdobeEdu and we also license @SketchUp to use alongside our 3D Printer. However, there are a multitude of products online so they options are endless #edtechchat
A4 Every day is exciting bc my Ss run the gamut of what they will choose to share understanding. Our rdg rm is filled w posters, models, & QR codes leading to Minecraft tours & book creators. Whatever they choose they must share their purpose/intention w me 1st. #edtechchat
A5 My personal favorites are the 3D printers and laser engravers! The Ss have also really loved the CNC Router, but I am kind of ashamed to say I haven't learned how to use that one! :) #edtechchat
We ran across this @MAcevedo_04 post from last summer to have Ss demonstrate learning through an @Instagram story. Seems like it could be useful for just about any grade, across content areas. Have you tried it? #edchatma#edtechchat#csk8
I'm having a brain lapse right now as to the model that we have had the best success with. I will look it up tomorrow when I am back at school and send it to you! #edtechchat
A6- How about some of the collaborative tools we use everyday - like Google Sites, and maybe some of our social media posts that use gifs or other graphics. #edtechchat
A6 Dare I go vintage and say refrigerator boxes? Anyone else love the giant boxes that came with appliances? Race cars, forts, playhouse, etc. Oh, now I'm thinking of pillow forts which usually turned into pillow fights! https://t.co/Plx9yieSgE#edtechchat
