A2-Spending time enjoying each of the last moments! Ss aren't going to remember testing or final assessments, but the energy and love I leave them with at the end of the year! If I bring my A game, Ss will too until the end of the year! #wearewayne

A3 Ss really wanted to read about an architect after we took a virtual tour and saw pictures of Ts there! Personal connections and “taking” students to the place goes so far. #wearewayne
I am so humbled this evening. My father was just awarded the Excellence in Life Award fro Courage from the @MillikinU Football Alumni. A true role model for his three sons and a countless number of scholars he has influenced. I am truly a benefactor of circumstance. #wearewayne
A3: My kids are most engaged when they can immerse themselves in the "real-world-ness" of activities. Money- use newspaper ads to ship, authors purpose- book cafe, Area/Perimeter- design a zoo, etc...Hands on and MINIMAL worksheets works best in rm 8! #wearewayne

This is my total philosophy! Rigor doesnt = no fun! I had a student cry today bc she had to leave class early. She is Excited to learn and loves being challenged with fun, new concepts every day
STEAM is the FUTURE for our students! The jobs they will have, haven't even been invented yet! We as educators have a DUTY to prepare them for this! #wearewayne
A4 Transforming your classroom can begin with a small area and then go from there. Would love to get rid of desk and transform my room... Maybe I'll take the leap next year and start small... #wearewayne
