Thank you for the amazing conversations tonight!
The time went so fast it seemed like a dream...
"But it wasn't a dream.. It was real... And you...And you... And you were there!" #OrEdChat
A1 #OrEdChat definitely a dreamer myself- 1. My Ss would draw closer to God as they investigate His story & participate in Kingdom building 2. My Ss would feel loved, supported & challenged in their educational journey
Q1:
Dorothy was definitely a dreamer.
What dreams do you have for your classroom/school?
What do you do daily to make these dreams a reality? #OrEdChat
A1- my dream is that staff become excited about their PLC and not dread them. Daily passion and surrounding myself with passionate people helps to build a positive PLC. #OREdChat
Thank you @MrsLedford6Eng for leading the #OrEdchat crew tonight! Fantastic topic! Have a wonderful week this week everyone!! Next week @MrsHankinsClass is taking the helm!
Q5:
"You always had the power my dear... You just had to learn it for yourself!"
Dorothy and her friends discover that they had all they needed the whole time!
How can we help our students find this internal strength? #OrEdChat
A3: I try to model problem solving and allow my failures to be seen when appropriate to show empathy. I try to give the students choices as well so they can choose their consequences. And sometimes, I hold their hand (figuratively) and walk them through. #OrEdChat
A2 #OrEdChat Build relationships with them!! I am behind them encouraging, guiding, and celebrating with them along their journey be it through the bumps in the paths or the aha momentsš
Q2:
"Are you a good witch or a bad witch?"
Glinda guided Dorothy by gifting her with the ruby red slippers and showing her the yellow brick road.
What things do you do to help your students find their path to success? #OrEdChat
A2. I would have to say I am a good witch. I tried to give students many opportunities where they make the decisions and I am there to help them on their journey. #OrEdChat
A5: Honestly, I seem to be able to help younger kiddos with this and near-retired teachers as well. I need some advice on how to do it with 5th grade -50 years old. #OrEdChat
A3 #OrEdChat it depends on the S. Might be through modeling, sharing my own stories of obstacles, coaching conversations....whatever it takes to help them continue forward
Q3:
"Lions and Tigers and Bears... Oh My!"
Dorothy faces so much adversity in her journey home.
How do you help your students to overcome obstacles? #OrEdChat

Give a shoutout to those that make your teaching journey easier!
#OrEdChat
A5 #OrEdChat Help them to celebrate the journey...notice the little gains, embrace the stumbles, guide them to next steps, show them that you believe in them
