Q1: Teaching English in the south of Spain, an area where - due to our context- it's hard to teach a foreign language; things are getting better, though. It's compulsory secondary EDU & I'm in charge of the school library. #seesawchat

A3: Here is an 🍎labeling activity. I love labeling activities and having students record themselves saying the words while moving the labels. https://t.co/RRTD6C9UJu#seesawchat
Q2: #seesawchat I mainly let them produce in English during my lessons. Doing in class what they can't do at home, like organizing debates, short presentations, working cooperatively. Bloom's Taxonomy plays an important role when creating my scheme of work.
There’s a lot of value in the more beginner level activities. Students and teachers learn to manipulate labels, fill in the blanks, etc. Building up to creating their own @seesaw content. #seesawchat
A1. Jessie McKinley @mckinj01, K-4 Coding teacher at our new STEAM school in Phoenix AZ @CamelviewMSD38 This is my first year teaching coding and I'm an 18-year veteran teacher. #SeesawChat
A4: We are 1:1 Chromebooks so I create most activities in Google Draw. Always downloading as a jpg allows Ss to use the various Seesaw tools. Copy/edit feature allows me to easily duplicate directions for similar activities.
#seesawchat
A4. Don’t underestimate what Ss can do! They usually surprise us with their creativity. Have them explain their thinking, either by typing a caption, or recording their voice. So powerful! #seesawchat
A4. I try to create activities with similar directions. Less for 1st graders to worry about. I also try to make activities that allow me to clone myself. Sight words check ins are great and I can review at home rather than take class time to assess 1:1. #seesawchat
A4: I like to give my students open ended questions in their activities. Upper elementary kids love to have choice when responding. I often allows them choose between creating a drawing or a note to show their thinking. Options = Empowerment #seesawchat
A4: I ❤️ making templates in PowerPoint to export as a JPEG. That way the labels, sections, etc are organized for Ss to add their answers to quickly. #seesawchat
