A2 quite taken with edison but not used in class as yet. There are limitations but it has progression from blocks to python subset. #caschat
  • mister_jim Mar 6 @ 3:19 PM EST
#caschat it has to be good value for money and work in more than one year group well. It also had to be easy to use, so that it doesn't put staff off.

    In reply to @LMcUnderwood, @JonnyPageUK, @Dale_Chu, @LGfL
  • Ka81 Mar 6 @ 3:21 PM EST
#caschat Stuff I build with mostly myself. I'm not so interested in teaching to then change platform to @arduino or @Raspberry_Pi which are what industry uses. My secondary kids can get jobs off those builds.
    In reply to @LGfL, @arduino, @Raspberry_Pi
  • Deptfordonian Mar 6 @ 3:21 PM EST

We tossed up between an Edtech loaning scheme or an 'Edtech discovery portal' and ended up with the latter. Would love to see someone run with the idea! #caschat

A4 I'm not in any way advocating we should be dumpster diving to resource our schools, just that a lot of money is wasted on products and services that are under utilised. #caschat
