Hi everyone! Louise from TX!
Hey Louise! So good to see you.
A1. Okay just looking at friends who use green screens. Looks like you need green material/screen, & ipad/device
A1 Green screen and an ipad with app! The rest you can get along the way.
A1: I see lots of different kinds used.
A1. green background of some sort, ipad and Doink
A1: Do you guys find it helpful to have an iPad stand to hold the iPad still or is it not necessary?
A1: We have Green shot loaded on new tablets - have no idea how to use
A1: Not too sure. I'm a newbie to this. I've heard that is a great green screen app. Can't wait to learn from you all.
My Ss haven't needed one.
Q1: Green Bulletin Board Paper, iPad and Greenscreen App. Plus imagination!
I hear Do Ink is the best! AND they are giving away 2 door prizes tonight!
I use green fabric and the app Green Screen by
A1: I have found the easiest way to make green screen videos is to use an ipad with Doink or .
I have only used to do my green screen shots and have loved it!
Evening , running a little late tonight. Terry in Fl
Hi Terry! Glad you are here!
That's the one I hear is the best!
A1: I don't have an iPad stand. But it's on my list.
Still looking for a stand that will hold the ipad in a rubber protective case. Anyone have ideas?
I don't use a stand but I have looked into getting one for the kids to use.
Agree my Ss use all by themselves. They love creating.
Now can everyone see my tweets. I'm teach in Colchester, IL
Teachers <3 door prizes! Thanks ! https://t.co/9SPJwTQTfN
I hear Do Ink is the best! AND they are giving away 2 door prizes tonight!
I think it would be great for videos especially. Photographs are fine but videos need steadiness.
A1: DoInk is the best app for me. Easy to use and excellent quality!
Hi! Glad you are here and can now see all the tweets. That helps. :)
A1: Also, is a great option for creating videos.
So touchcast is just another green screen app?
I agree! is SO easy to use! And you can have video as your background!
Looks like I'm going to be trying some !
Hi! Glad you are here! :) I can't wait to try Do Ink!
I downloaded it last week after our 2nd grade tech meeting. I may use it tomorrow!
A2: DoInk is sweet! It has 3 layers. Love it!
I've not tried this one either!
Its really easy for them to use & has lots of ways for them to get creative.
A1 I also use green fabric, Doink and a stand is really nice to keep the shot steady
I would love to find an android green screen app
Thanks! She made QR codes the kids wore and that was their present to their parents.
Does anyone know an android green screen app? https://t.co/E5D5deJNNA
I would love to find an android green screen app
How did you hang your green fabric? Was the stand expensive for the iPad?
I have the screen, the apps and a tripod to put together. I just need to figure out how to make them.
I wonder if they could make a fun ornament out of it?
Yeah, she's the kind of T who has a lot of good ideas like that!
Louise and I made a touchcast at and I knew I had to have one.
i pinned it up on a bulliten board to start. The stand was a tripod with a ipad attachment.
You could for sure put a QR code on an ornament somehow.
A3: I usually use fabric for big full body projects. I have 2 big strips and pin it to the board. Easy green screen!
Wait .. what.. tell me more.. I missed something. Where is the ornament?
I know that just taped green tagboard together for his.
There actually wasn't an ornament-she just taped the QR codes right on the kids, but+
There isn't one. We were talking about it being an good idea w/ QR link to video
Q3. Green fabric, green paper,
green shirt, box spray painted green, green table cloth
So people watching could scan them?
Just bought a pop up green screen to use with on the iPad
Yup! That would work too!
I'm about to buy one. A friend has one and loves it.
That's a cool idea! Going to borrow that. I can think of another way to use.
A3: I use pizza boxes for individual green screens.I painted the inside with Valspar Luscious Green. Portable. Stackable. Cheap!
Used Green Screen by Do ink today with my class
How fun would it be to play the green screen game with your kiddos? Mirroring your ipad to the smartboard https://t.co/tWlwFsCJEQ
When mentioned the teacher hanging the QR codes around their necks, I just thought an ornament would be cute.
Also seen Ts who use old projector screens and paint them green to use. They roll up and out of the way.
Hi Nancy! Glad you are here! I'm going to tomorrow!
Yea I'm with you now. I think I missed a tweet or two and was trying to catch up. It's a cool idea.
I need to keep it where I won't forget it for next year!
A3: Tricia Fuglestad (green screen ninja) uses green tri-fold boards. You MUST follow her! She is crazy talented.
hey carol! Thanks for telling me about this
NIce idea! https://t.co/FyiMU7TlGO
A3: Tricia Fuglestad (green screen ninja) uses green tri-fold boards. You MUST follow her! She is crazy talented.
Great idea! Reminds of talk a mile a minute. 1 student can see the screen & gives clues to the student that cannot see.
Amazon has reasonable priced green screen. Just pinned it to bulletin board.
My pop up green screen is by Impact about $110. I use a mount for the tripod to keep it steady
Awesome tripod! I've never seen one of those before.
Hey friends! Our first door prize is coming up!
Where did you get that ipad stand? It's exactly what I have never been able to find!
where are you going tomorrow?
A4: Relax and have fun. Let the Ss explore and be creative.
We aren't going anywhere. I just want to use the green screen for our National Symbols project.
A4: I dunno! I am a newbie! :)
A4: You are not Steven Spielberg. It's ok if the camera shakes.
You can't make mistakes. Don't worry about things being perfect. Just have fun.
I need this. I tend to want it perfect. :0 https://t.co/4gzujbpaoT
You can't make mistakes. Don't worry about things being perfect. Just have fun.
is this app easy to navigate for younger than 2nd graders?
Did you get that iPad stand from Amazon? I thought I saw one the other day like it there.
A:4 I love learning about this green screen stuff.
A4: Warn the kids not to wear green shirts... unless they want to look like they have floating heads.
From what I saw the other day, the kids will have it down before I will. They are so good at it!
My techie 1st graders can, but takes training
A4: It's all about the lighting! The lighting must be even, so that the background is all the same color.
Trust me, it's never going to be perfect. And the more you try the less magic there is. Be like your 2nd graders. ;)
A4 I like students getting involved from the start and then they love to take over and show their creativity
I have a green wall in my room we moved a couple of bookshelves and started our projects
AMEN! https://t.co/6KM1VxGdKt
Trust me, it's never going to be perfect. And the more you try the less magic there is. Be like your 2nd graders. ;)
If I get the blue/green screen, I could do the one kids on the blue if he had on green, right?
What if you can't control the lighting?
Let it go! The magic happens with the giggles.
Is there somewhere I can get the basic instructions of how to start?
A4: I bring in an extra desk lamp if it's a dreary day.
I'm not sure. I've never used a blue screen. Underarmer swearshirts are also bad with greenscreens No matter what color
I am just learning too! can give you some ways to start. Do you have an iPad?
There are tutorials with the app that I used to get started
My boys love those shirts.
A5: let the kids explore and enjoy! They’ll pick it pretty quickly!
We have old chalkboards in our room so I might try that.
Thanks...when I have just played and tried, it isn't working for me. I need help like that.
Absolutely :) My kiddos LOVED it last year! Once one learned, she taught them all! Became the
then used that jpeg in green screen with child presenting
Thanks I do have and will look for those. https://t.co/vboNHHxAb6
There are tutorials with the app that I used to get started
A5: Daily weather report or news report.
I don't have any but could round some up. :)
We used green screens for sharing our opinion pieces on our favorite continent to live on. Worked great!
A5: Make newscasts, create funny videos while using content, promote school pride, promotions, the possibilities are endless
Time for the next door prize! Coming up!
A:5 We are doing a Westward Expansion Unit for LA they could make their own Oregon Trail video game/video

A5 Ss like to make book commercials
We green screen our writing pieces, biographies, Christmas cards
Watching and learning. Totally new and won a subscription and seen done by ! Want to learn more!
A5: I love using it for writing. We swim with sharks. Visit volcanoes. Hang out in wild west towns. Upload photo to
There was one earlier (haven't announced winner yet) and one coming up- all from Do INk!
I would imagine the possibilities are endless....once I figure it out!
A5 Science reports with images or video in the background
What were the children presenting?
the famous American they researched
Ss love when they look like they're interacting with the images in the background
Great minds think alike. Stay tuned next week on class account.
was the 1st door prize winner from earlier in the chat. He was the 5th person to answer Q4 (looked for the 5th A4)
Do you have any you can share with me later?

A6: Ss love creating videos to share their thinking to solutions for
Yeah! I can't wait to see them!
A6: just started using it with will be expanding next week.
I was thinking has a National Park project. Green Screen may be great for that.
5th person to answer Q6 gets the 2nd door prize!
Yes, is doing that project!
I'm going to try our national symbols research tomorrow and Friday.
Green screen to present animal reports to the nightzookeeper!
LOVE this idea! May I “borrow” it for next week?
We still have the door prize up for grabs! Add A6 to your favorite green screen project idea. :)
A6: I need ideas, but my students love making skits about what they learned that week.
A5: When we did holidays around the world, I put them in the country. I want to use paper puppets for retelling.
national symbols sounds really cool!
You know teachers will let you borrow whatever you need!
A6: I loved ones I saw for the on green screen.
Currently working on severe weather presentations
now you have me thinking how can I use it for Read Across America next week.
That is great idea to use since Dr. Seuss is coming up
A6: Students can create inspirational speeches like reminding each other to have a
says it's interactive...can you explain how so? I downloaded and would like to know more.
A6 love the biography projects my class is doing
A6: Green screen to present animal reports to the nightzookeeper!

Anyone want to FaceTime next week for Read Across America?
