And I am eternally grateful for @ThatMathLady for being my #EdCamp Sherpa at my first #EdCamp a few years ago. Helped me to understand that I was not adrift. Some parts of our state can be very isolating and I was feeling like Hanks in Castaway until #MandyWilson helped me!

Iowa hosts #edcamp in multiple locations across the state on the same day. Maximizes educator involvement and shared practices. It had been a huge success for many years.

I see that Tech failed. In Iowa, most schools have infrastructure to support because of the vast majority being 1:1. We do a lot of doc sharing between locations. Attendance increases when location is no longer a barrier for #edcamp #iaedchat

Tammy. There's also the question that edcamp first timers fail to ask but should: "What is expected of me?" or "How do I get the most from #Edcamp?" Only after my 1st one did I start coming with some questions in mind!!!
