R1: Calendar and Classroom!!
I know, right? We will do our best to try!
R1 Any app that allows them to create is great for EOY! I love allowing my Ss to get creative with iMovie for our EOY projects.
That sounds fun and I bet you see some interesting posts...!
When I had 1:1 in my class, we used iMovie for different video presentations.
R1: google "set timer for __ min" and teach Ss to do for themselves...and an engaging, authentic assignment :)
R1: Oops! iMovie for presentations.
Lately I'm in LOVE with !!! Gives me more 1:1 or grp workshop time rather than lecture.
Q2 Lead in question...What are the pros/cons of practice apps in the classroom? What are the best practices for using them?
R1: We use our LMS and it helps immensely keeping track of assignments, etc. Creation apps, however, keep Ss focused!
haha, yes! Lots of Star Wars posts!
R1: I don't want to take over; however, I am going to be teaching a PTLW class next year. My kids have windows based comp 1/2
I will add this one to my lists of things to try next week!
Did anyone see the new offering for free accounts?! Awesome!
R1: What are some programs that I can use that would benefit my kids based on Windows OS?
YES! Super awesome for anyone who uses a great deal of video clips and/or flips their classroom.
R1: having Ss collaborate on a multi-step project using Google Sheets
R1 (running behind) I agree anything that has students creating will keep them engaged.
R2: Can be great for practice, but don't always require critical thinking and/or creative skills. Usually basic substitution.
R2: I'm a bit old school but use eInstruction CPS. My kids like the tech and it's different than using a phone. Easier 2 watch
R1 using for lots of things but Ediscussions are big for Ss. Especially while watching videos in class
Anything Google has to offer!
A great tool for having a project/station that kids can visit and contribute to anytime is Voicethread
R2 Practice apps have a place. I share with login info with Ps so Ss can use at home. Ss use practice apps during ind practice.

R2 My Ss (in French or Eng) had success learning new vocab w/virtual flashcards or games. Short bursts, often, seemed to help most
Wish I could help, . My best answer is add Chrome browser and use app store :)
Stalking the chat tonight!
R2: Practice apps are fine for rote memorization when used appropriately. Some Ts, however, use them for "Now we're using tech"
Yes! Not spending too much time on any one practice app is so important. It loses its impact! https://t.co/eyPkQDgOL3
