Looking forward to a great #ohedchat tonight led by @Jacki_prat! For some, we are nearing the last month of school. For others, a bit more to go. Regardless, let's talk about finishing strong! #finishstrong
Hi, everyone! My name is Ayana, and I am studying at Kent State University with a major in speech pathology and a minor in mild to moderate special education. Super excited for this chat tonight! @barbersclass#barbersclass#ohedchat
I think in order to keep the momentum going, the teacher needs to always try and stay positive. Encourage the students in a way that is fun and keep telling them they are almost there. #ohedchat
A1: @JFudale4
I think in order to keep the momentum going, the teacher needs to always try and stay positive. Encourage the students in a way that is fun and keep telling them they are almost there. #ohedchat
As a student myself, I know it's hard to maintain motivation during the last few weeks of school. In order to keep the momentum going, I try to complete one assignment at a time and break it up into smaller parts to make it easier to complete #barbersclass@barbersclass#ohedchat
A1: I stay passionate about what I teach and keep the students engaged. I love mixing up hooks, creating mystery and intrigue, or use the opportunity to try new things (a test run for next year). #ohedchat
A1. Engaging activities and authentic learning experiences. We will be doing a real world/real money simulation soon followed by a short famous mathematician project with options for students to present. #ohedchat
A1: Finding the greatness that is happening each and every day in the classrooms is the drive that carries me to the end. Every moment of every day! #ohedchat
A1: I believe to keep the momentum going is to start doing more active lessons within the classroom. This could include active lesson plans around the room, or if at all possible try and teach a lesson outside on a nice day! #ohedchat
A1: it's not about how you start but how you finish. We have done a lot of parent communications to set clear guidelines to try and help students & parents have a clear path of how to finish the year on a high note. We also celebrate ever senior who finishes early.
#ohedchat
A1- We have been reflecting upon the goals that we set for the year and analyzing the end results. We’ve also begun talking about ideas for next year!! That’s been surprisingly uplifting and exciting when we’re all tied!! #OHedchat
A1-This time of year I think it's important to slow down a little---remember the relationships with kids and parents matter. And remember that we CANNOT just assume that kids will do what we expect b/c it's the 150ish day of school-continue to be clear and concise #ohedchat
A1: gotta grind, everyday. If it's not current tasks, it's reflection and revising what I'm going to do next year. The end of the year really isn't the finish line, it's a water break.
#ohedchat
A1: We had Spring Instructional Rounds last week and took the questions and contrasts from the evidence to design Choice PD sessions for this week. #ohedchat
A1: I think to maintain focus during this time of year teachers have to use positive reinforcement and be passionate about what they are teaching #ohedchat
A1 We maintain momentum by continuing to devote time and energy into purposeful planning and implementation of learning experiences that will support Ss growth. Continue to make every second, minute, and hour count. Don't count the days; make the days count. #ohedchat
A1: As a student myself, it's hard to maintain motivation during the last few weeks of school. In order to keep the momentum going, I try to complete one assignment at a time and break it up into smaller parts to make it easier to complete #barbersclass@barbersclass#ohedchat
A1: As a student and a student teacher, I often times lack the motivation to finish out the semester strong! In order to keep going, I maintain good time management and set goals for each day! #ohedchat@barbersclass#barbersclass
A1: Planning "outside-the-norm" activities, especially later in May, but all still geared toward our learning. Keeps everyone enthused and engaged. #ohedchat
#A1- We have been reflecting upon the goals that we set for the year and analyzing the end results. We’ve also begun talking about ideas for next year!! That’s been surprisingly uplifting and exciting when we’re all tired!! #OHedchat
Agree, Tyler. Connects to the theme of starting with the end in mind. We have not reached the end. Therefore, we should still be pressing toward success with our Ss #ohedchat
I really your answer to this! The end of the year gets really hectic and seems to always be the busiest time of the school year. It's a nice reminder to take a breath and interact with the parents and students as much as possible. #ohedchat
Yes! I had a meeting with teachers yesterday where we reflected on our learning--opportunity to see the growth. Also brainstormed what we want to learn together next year. #ohedchat
A1- We have students participate in ED Camp! Students teach other third graders about anything! We also work on talking with the new incoming 2nd graders about what to expect and answer their questions. This helps relieve stress and anxiety. #ohedchat
Here is Q2 #ohedchat
This is the time of yr we begin to recognize Ss and staff for accomplishments.
In what ways do you recognize Ss and staff this time of year?
A1: I like to keep activities interesting and make sure to balance active and sedentary tasks, so that everyone is able to focus and learn #ohedchat#barbersclass@barbersclass
A1: I spend time in the classroom with my Ts, giving them the “gift of time”. Allows me to interact and engage with Ss & it provides Ts with some added time to get things done on their growing to-do lists. #ohedchat
spot on, Josh! Our kids loved all the events we did at Weaver for #HilliardKindness. It created a sense of responsibility. I like where you are headed! #servicelearning#ohedchat
A2. The building will handout awards at the end of the year, personally I will continuewhat I have done a couple times this year and send out a couple of handwritten notes to Ss. #ohedchat
Here is Q2 #ohedchat
This is the time of yr we begin to recognize Ss and staff for accomplishments.
In what ways do you recognize Ss and staff this time of year?
Our narrative is a children’s book that we are writing, illustrating, and constructing. Than we’ll take a few over to the elementary school and read them to the students there at the end of the year #ohedchat
Isn’t it fun to hear their excitement?!?! Recently we introduced Blended Learning to the staff and many of the teachers are enthusiastic about using it. I was hesitant about introducing the idea in April, but now they’re planning for next year!! #ohedchat
A2. I think it is so important to reinforce students for keeping up their stamina and remaining enthusiastic toward the end of the year! You can never give out too many compliments! Plus, it might motivate the other students to work harder to get that reinforcement #ohedchat
A2: every senior that graduates early gets a Twitter shout out, and we clap them out. We have been doing a student of the month and soon will be selecting are students of the year to be enshrined on our wall of fame.
#ohedchat
Isn’t it fun to hear their excitement?!?! Recently we introduced Blended Learning to the staff and many of the teachers are enthusiastic about using it. I was hesitant about introducing the idea in April, but now they’re planning for next year!! #ohedchat
Q2: At the summer camp I work at, we give fun goodies at the end of the summer. We give things to students who have showed respect, honesty, and have always offered a helping hand. #ohedchat
A2: We can recognize students and teachers by handing out awards for their accomplishments and sending letters of appreciation. We can encourage the students and let them know we are proud of their hard work! #ohedchat@barbersclass#barbersclass
A2- with students we celebrate all the reading that has been going on this school year. We also plan for what we might read this summer. Teachers- sharing notes of why they are appreciated. #ohedchat
A2: besides the traditional, I really want to have a final staff meeting with fun awards, while also avoiding being Michael Scott hosting the Dundee's
#ohedchat
A2-I think it's important to remember that we have many "behind the scenes" staff members who quietly ensure the efficient operation of the school-I try to share my gratitude for them publicly-secretaries,aides, volunteers, custodians, cafeteria employees, grounds crews #ohedchat
A2: I like to point out the everyday accomplishments that my students make, and encourage them to continue their progress. I will show their hard work to other students and staff to give them some recognition #ohedchat#barbersclass@barbersclass
A2- I think it's important to focus on "power of the team". We need to work together to stay on track and focused. My class earns marbles as a class and when they work together as a team, they can earn a whole class party. #ohedchat
Conversations at the time of the year are so fun!! I love asking everyone about their journey this year and sharing mine. A great time to connect and grow!! #ohedchat
A2. I really like using those last weeks with my 4th graders to prepare them for 5th grade curriculum ..... we start looking at 5th grade standards.... #OHedchat
A2: I believe it's a good time to continue to reinforce positive behavior in the classroom. As a TA, my host teacher did an end of the year party which included cupcakes and students telling stories at the end of the day. They received it because of good behavior. #ohedchat
A2: I looped with my ELA students in MS, so handing back portfolios at the end of 8th grade was always awesome. Ss saw evidence of their growth. #ohedchat
Like the note sharing piece here, Jill. Handwritten, personal notes, just like the personal 1:1 thank you with specifics, convey appreciation of effort to team members who consistently work to support the school vision #ohedchat
A2: Recognizing students & staff during the end of the year is very important to maintain motivation. Awards ceremonies, remaining enthusiastic, and letters of appreciation are all good ways to recognize achievement. #ohedchat
A2: I know a lot of districts have service recognition dinners for staff at this time of year where they give awards, recognize service milestones, honor retirees. I always think those sound really special. #ohedchat
A2: I learned from the likes of @smgaillard and @casehighprinc that every day there is something to celebrate. With that said, this time of year we amplify it 1000X over! Student and staff acts of gratitude are essential! #ohedchat#culturemust
A2: Acknowledging/taking time to appreciate even the smallest accomplishments and efforts of both teachers and students is a great way to recognize them during this time of the year #barbersclass@barbersclass#ohedchat
That is so very true! The staff members behind the scenes are the ones who are the glue to our school community & should get the biggest pat on the back! #ohedchat
A2: Handwritten Thank You’s for the work they’ve done all year. Being sure to highlight positive things that you’ve noticed in their teaching & learning.
A little sweet treat never hurts either! ...“You donut know how much I appreciate you!”
#ohedchat
Q3 #ohedchat
This is the time of year that job postings begin.
Talk about a time you've changed positions either voluntarily or involuntarily and what you learned from the change.
And a great way for Ts to connect with Ss who may sometimes get hidden in the shadows! We’re tearing down walls, literally and figuratively! Teachers in our building want to remove an actual wall to unite their students!! #ohedchat
Looking up Michael Scott GIFs is always a treat. I would like to be able to show my staff I have really gotten to know and appreciate each of their talents this year. #ohedchat
And a great way for Ts to connect with Ss who may sometimes get hidden in the shadows! We’re tearing down walls, literally and figuratively! Teachers in our building want to remove an actual wall to unite their students!! #ohedchat
A2: aside from the traditional superlatives, we recognize some excellent narratives in our aforementioned #pbl by letting them share w/ the elementary Ss. It is becoming a tradition of honor already. #ohedchat
Thanks, Craig! I learn from you and Brian! Appreciate the shoutout. Definitely have to tune into the awareness to celebrate our band in the schoolhouse every day! Amplify the positives! #TrendthePositive#CelebrateEveryday#ohedchat
I am still working towards my degree, but in my field experience I voluntarily went from 3rd to a K room during testing and learned that change is good, and it is nice to see how different rooms work #ohedchat#barbersclass@barbersclass
Between last year and this year I changed on campus jobs. I went from working concessions to being an RA. Through the RA position I have learned to address questions/concerns head on and be more assertive. #barbersclass#Ohedchat@barbersclass
A3. I changed from teaching elementary to teaching college students. As part of the Teacher Education program my classroom experience with Ss has changed for the better. #ohedchat
Q3 #ohedchat
This is the time of year that job postings begin.
Talk about a time you've changed positions either voluntarily or involuntarily and what you learned from the change.
A3. It was amazing to get compliments from parents about their behavior change at home and from my co-workers who were implementing my morning schedule! Change is scary but it’s an educational experience and I love it! #ohedchat
A3 Changed from Math T to #MathCoach, It was a scary change I loved teaching S's but found that helping T's refine their practice was a perfect fit and a way to impact more S's Glad I took this leap of faith #ohedchat
A3 one of my biggest moves was from 4th grade to 1st grade. Talk about a year of learning for me. I learned so much about teaching reading and writing that year. I then looped with these kids to 2nd and the 3rd grade. Those kids taught me a lot. #ohedchat
I am doing this exact thing next year. It’s a different mindset knowing the things we are writing right now will be revisited next year at this time #ohedchat
A3-I've changed teaching positions and schools many many times in my 17 year career! Each time I was nervous and thought I was making a terrible decision but each change ended up teaching me so much about being an educator-#ohedchat
A3. I have changed grade levels a few times and this past year even changed districts. I have learned to seek opportunities and be open to the change because great things are usually in store! #ohedchat
A3 Sometimes the biggest involuntary change has lead to the best new beginning. We may not even know we are being called to a different role, but yet, a "better" fit going forward! #ohedchat
I am so glad you posted this! I think every elementary teacher should teach K or 1...the learning that occurs about the reading and writing process is invaluable #ohedchat
Between last year and this year I changed on campus jobs. I went from working concessions to being an RA. Through the RA position I have learned to address questions/concerns head on and be more assertive. #barbersclass#Ohedchat@barbersclass
A3 As educators, we know that any time we experience change, it is an opportunity to learn. The key to maximizing the learning is that we engage in purposeful reflection on the change and apply lessons learned to next steps. #ohedchat
A3: Though I have not yet changed positions voluntarily or involuntarily, I am starting a new job in a school this summer that I am extremely excited about! #barbersclass@barbersclass#ohedchat
A3: I was originally a part-time counselor at my camp so I worked with limited amount of students. I was then switched to full-time and had to learn how to effectively be in charge over over 60 kids at a time. #ohedchat
A3: In the last year I my job as a GIS in a building I'd taught in for ages to becoming a g/t consultant and coordinator. My superintendent told me I was on the brink of meeting amazing educators in many, many new places. He was right. #ohedchat
A3: I'm a student so I'm still not in the field yet, but I would contact the teacher in the current position and try to get feedback on what worked/didn't work for them in the previous years! #ohedchat
A3- I moved into administration this year, and I do not have enough characters to type all I’ve learned!! Primarily, I’ve learned to broaden my perspective, understand the needs of multiple stakeholders, and to lead through inspiration while keeping Ss 1st always!! #ohedchat
A3: 10yrs ago I walked away from teaching tennis, no job lined up, no real plan. I was going to rely on subbing. A week after this, I got a call to be a parapro for a county Autism Unit. Not what I wanted, but it led me into an Edu setting and opened up many doors. #ohedchat
A3 one of my biggest moves was from 4th grade to 1st grade. Talk about a year of learning for me. I learned so much about teaching reading and writing that year. I then looped with these kids to 2nd and the 3rd grade. Those kids taught me a lot. #ohedchat
A3: working in an administrative role in summer school for 4 summers at both the elementary and HS levels gave me a great opportunity to work with people from all departments in a district - great to learn from all the varied perspectives! #ohedchat
A-3 went from an asst in a medium sized HS to a building principal in a small rural 7-12 school...found out I didn’t know as much as I thought but was more capable than I gave myself credit for! Also found I was way more student centered than I thought I was #ohedchat
A3: became an admin this yr. Learned a lot about sticking the course, constantly reflecting, monitoring, not getting too up or too down, stopping to celebrate (big & small), and realizing all great plans take time to fully take effect.
#ohedchat
This year I've learned that changing roles reveals so much--not just what I still need to learn, but strengths & skills I didn't realize I had. #ohedchat
A3 While I have never had this experience personally, I know a lot my fellow students who have changed to education/fields of education and seem happy. I'm also going to be switchin postions at my summer job at the YMCA in May and I'm excited to see how that goes! #OHedchat
we are all part of the movement to remember that it is often the most simplest of acts that create the greatest response for positivity. Whether #CelebrateMonday or #casepride, you two bring it. Always. #ohedchat
Q4 #ohedchat
Many Ss do not look forward to school ending.
In what ways do you or your school support Ss who do not look forward to the end of the school year?
A3 I moved from ms to hs after my 2nd year teaching. New classes. New students. New environment. It was almost like being a first year teacher again. Really stretched my thinking. #OHedchat
A3: I've held 3 positions in education. Teacher & head coach, ESC Curriculum Supervisor, & principal. Anywhere: build relationships; set high expectations for yourself; make time for laughing at work.
#ohedchat
A3: working in an administrative role in summer school for 4 summers at both the elementary and HS levels gave me a great opportunity to work with people from all departments in a district - great to learn from all the varied perspectives! #ohedchat
Q4 #ohedchat
Many Ss do not look forward to school ending.
In what ways do you or your school support Ss who do not look forward to the end of the school year?
Q3: Timely. Changing this year. Nervous but excited. Hard to leave my @wmscats family but they are excited for me as I am for them. Change provides a state of being uncomfortable. I'm good with that. Ready to see what else I can bring as a leader. #ohedchat
A4: I do not have much experience with this, but I would help them find ways to stay in touch with others and continue their learning over the summer #ohedchat#barbersclass@barbersclass
A3: About 5 years ago, I traded my young Ss for adult learners. The first year was quite the adjustment, but every year I reflect back on the exponential impact I’ve been able to make for students and my soul smiles a bit (actually a LOT!) #ohedchat
A4: Create assignments geared to their interests that foster innovation and creativity and allow them to some take control of their education #barbersclass@barbersclass#ohedchat
A4 great question. I have been thinking about ways to stay connected with students over the summer, especially want to keep the reading momentum going. Thinking about blogging and sending postcards I think that idea came from @KyleneBeers#ohedchat
A4: I think that if you make the effort to reach out and support your students and give them life skills they will know how to make the most of their time away from school and be that more eager to come back and show you their growth, even if you aren’t their teacher #ohedchat
A4 I (we) don’t do a good job of this. But I’ve always though a book club or maybe a community garden at school could get Ss engaged and involved during the summers #OHedchat
I had invited kids to share their summer reading adventures in a Google Classroom discussion thread. I checked it regularly. No one took me up on it--not for a grade, just an opportunity to "book talk." #ohedchat
A4One of the ways that we address this is by facilitating programs for students to participate in the summer- these enrichment programs allow students to participate in additional learning activities, strengthen relationships with Ts,& prevents the summer learning slide #ohedchat
A4-I see Ss who don't want to leave school every year. It's hard to watch them go and know that I am not able to see them everyday to make sure they're safe-this is why relationships are so important-I need the Ss to share their concerns with me so I can try to help #ohedchat
Q4 #ohedchat
Many Ss do not look forward to school ending.
In what ways do you or your school support Ss who do not look forward to the end of the school year?
A4: summer school! Seriously, the district is revamping it to make multi tiered to support system that offers innovate experiences. For those that do not wish to attend reminding them summer is a chance to reset and recharge.
#ohedchat
A4: I am currently teaching in a preschool and the students are all still wishing they could build a snowman, I think this Ohio weather has them thinking summer is much farther away!! #ohedchat@barbersclass#barbersclass
A4-I'd love to set up a chat system that the students could be involoved in through the summer months, and keep a calender of summer birthdays and other speial events to post about to encourage communication. #OHedchat
A4-I'm thankful that we have programs in Hilliard like @sonministries Summer Lunch Program and Summer Camp for Kids that we can direct families to each year. Such a blessing! #ohedchat
Can someone explain why the Cavs fall in love with hurried three point shots when they only need to hold a lead and put the ball in the hoop?!? Anyone... #ohedchat
A4: I was thinking of creating summer reading lists for the students! This would give them the opportunity to check out new books over the summer (not to mention keep them reading while on a 3 month break!) #ohedchat
A4: Be creative about ways that Ts can maintain those positive relationships over the summer with Ss. Be intentional about staying connected to Ss that you know have very little support outside of school. #ohedchat
It's not what you know-- it's how far you're willing to go to find out the answer. Details will fall into place as time goes by, you don't need every answer to start. You just need to start. #ohedchat
A4: We work to promote our community summer camps, library programs and volunteer opportunities. Looking forward to doing a better job of sharing this in the next couple of weeks. #ohedchat
I will def be sending some postcards, but the #globalvillage allows for ubiquitous contact. I remind my Ss that email remains active even if school isn’t in session. A few will send a random message over the summer & that solidifies a relationship beyond 7th grade #ohedchat
Q5 #ohedchat
There are a lot of deadlines looming for teachers and administrators this time of yr.
How do you keep yourself organized and maintaining balance?
A4-I think it's important for us to remember that sending activities home is not what all kids need---some are concerned that they'll be home alone all summer or that they won't have breakfast or lunch anymore b/c they count on school for that #ohedchat
NOT A4)....SUMMER PACKETS. For the love of all that is good do not send home a summer worksheet packet. That is not what students miss about school. And mom's hate them too #ohedchat
A5: I haven't had my own classroom yet, but I like to plan ahead and list everything in order of immediate attention, and start chipping away at the list #ohedchat#barbersclass@barbersclass
This is so refreshing to hear! My oldest son is in 7th grade. Tonight he said that he wished that MS teachers cared about him like his elementary teachers did. He feels like all his Ts care about is grades. We need more MS teachers like you. My heart broke for him #ohedchat
I appreciated the intent of the packets my son brought home . . .and felt a good bit of guilt when we really didn't utilize them. We were too busy doing all kinds of things, like zoo, pool, etc. #ohedchat
A5. This year I looked at my deadlines and said oh April I have time! Well now it’s April.... I think I should’ve just got it all done ahead of time, which would also give me more time to reflect and improve. I think being more organized would’ve helped #ohedchat
A5: I try to remember the old adage about how to eat an elephant . . . one bite at a time (not advocating eating pachyderms). Lists, prioritizing. And doing my very best to get enough sleep, drink water, exercise. #ohedchat
A5-In order to maintain balance I am forcing myself to get out of my office so I can talk to Ts and Ss. It's easy to get bogged down with end of yr paperwork--must keep perspective #ohedchat
A5: I keep myself balanced by managing my time and planning out everything I need to have done by the end of the day. I set goals for myself and have checklists to ensure I get things done! #ohedchat@barbersclass#barbersclass
A5: I have committed to maintaining my blog to build in reflection time. I’m already thinking ahead to next year as I read #learnlap But I avoid doing any work until my daughter goes to bed. #ohedchat
A5 Personally, I am blessed to have a great leadership team- we work collaboratively to note the deadlines of tasks, prioritize our work, identify roles to get projects accomplished, and still be purposeful about setting long-term goals for Ss success #ohedchat
A4: Having students complete an assignment at the end of the school year and sending the assignment to them over the summer so they can reflect on their past year, sending postcards, library reading programs #barbersclass@barbersclass#ohedchat
A5: As a student, something that keeps me organized before finals (when ALL projects are due) is my planner/calendar! Writing down every little thing (including personal life activities) this time of year is incredibly helpful for me. #ohedchat
I like planning things baisically a week a time, and choosing what I do based on the timline of the week. Depending on the nature of the work, I try to work ahead and have an idea of the big things coming up. #OHedchat
A5-For me-it's also important that I know when to ASK FOR HELP! I have a lot of people who are happy to support me. I have to be okay with relying on others! #ohedchat
A5: Although I am still a student it is also very important for me to stay organized. I find it helpful to write down my assignments while also staying on top of my grades #ohedchat
A5: I stay organized by making extensive to-do lists, but I maintain balance by setting aside time for work and setting aside time for leisure time #barbersclass@barbersclass#ohedchat
A5-I'm a one day at a time person, but I've learned to look at the big picture. Think about what's important and start there. I also think it's okay to let some lesser important things go. #ohedchat
Q6 #ohedchat
We must keep focused on our goals even though the end is in sight.
What goal do you have for yourself to ensure that you can look back on this school year as a successful one?
A5: I stay organized by making extensive to-do lists, but I maintain balance by setting aside time for work and setting aside time for leisure activities #barbersclass@barbersclass#ohedchat
Lately I've been a one hour at a time person---can't even look at my calendar for the entire day! Too overwhelming! #ohedchat
And I remind myself constantly that I MUST be there for Ts no matter what! I have to stop what I'm doing and support them when the need me #ohedchat
A5-I'm a one day at a time person, but I've learned to look at the big picture. Think about what's important and start there. I also think it's okay to let some lesser important things go. #ohedchat
A6: My school year goal is to touch the life of each of my students, and leave them feeling that they are going to have a bright future #ohedchat#barbersclass@barbersclass
A6: My goal is to finish all my assignments before they are due to ensure enough time to make edits and feel prepared to turn them in! #barbersclass@barbersclass#ohedchat
A6. My goal for the end of the year is to send my Ss off with a feeling of accomplishment and love. No matter what benchmark was or was not reached, every single child improved and I can live with that 💗 #ohedchat
The goal for myself is to end the year strong. Despite what happened during the year, if I end strong I will leave school feeing confident #Ohedchat#barbersclass@barbersclass
Q6: I want to have a great GPA at the end of this semester. I want to look back and see all the work I did this semester and know that I worked as hard as I could and that I am proud of myself. #ohedchat
A6: This year: my goal has been to learn my new role & responsibilities while continuing my mission of supporting gifted kids & their teachers. I've been doing lots of reflecting, & I have thought partners who will help me too. #ohedchat
A6-My @getoneword is JOY and I will find JOY each day. As I intentionally look for the JOY in my days, I know I am a better wife, mom, leader, educator and person. That's what matters most #ohedchat
A6 my goal is always to help my students find books that they love. I want them to leave my classroom a reader. I want them to feel good about all their successes. We will find time to celebrate. #ohedchat
A6: My end of the year goals would be to finish on a positive note each day and try to create some type of resource to stay connected with my students. #ohedchat
A6: this year was all about building better relationships and taking risks to creating a better history experience for Ss. I am maintaining this goal until the end of the year. I’m looking forward to improving on these ideas/goals for next year. #ohedchat
Jumping in late but have been reading all the answers tonight! A6: for me I spend time reflecting on each goal that I had and sharing that with my staff. It’s great to share the success we made as a staff. #ohedchat
My goal is to remember the positive relationships I've created with the students and to think about the times we laughed, cried, and learned something from one another! I'm going to miss this group. They hold a special place in my heart ❤️ #ohedchat
A6) it's already a success...with some room for growth next time. I'm my own worst critic while being delusionally confident at the same time. Working one task at a time until the off season. (That's where champions are made)
#ohedchat
A6: My goal to ensure that this school year is a successful one would be to remember all of my accomplishments as well as my students accomplishments. #ohedchat@barbersclass#brianbarbersclass
A6: rebranding the program's image in the community & w/in the district was huge for me this yr. Im currently waiting on family surveys to see the opinions of some of r key stakeholders but so far positive. Monday we presented to the board & got positive marks as well.
#ohedchat
