A1: I let them know that I am willing to accept any cards they submit into the game (i.e., pending approval by a vote). The students and I modify the game as the year progresses. We add their ideas. It’s a joint effort. I need their help just as much as they need mine. #XPLAP

A1: I get them lost in the game right from the start by bringing so much excitement and passion that they can't help but join in with me. I also let them know we are in this together, right from the beginning. #xplap

Just call it play testing. Tell the students they are helping you build the game. It gets them on your side and turns what could ve a negative nelly into a positive pete ally. #xplap

By diversifying the options students have to keep them moving and engaged. Doodle a reflection, add a song to encourage learning, or find a new resource! #XPLAP
A2: Having clues both visible out in the open, and others hidden away, it keeps groups in different places both feel unique and apart, but also helps others to see more and more elements popping up over the course of the game. #xplap
A2: I'm hoping to create incorporate group challanges in the form of Survivor/Big Brother challenges that will give them perks outside of the usual marks or XP (comfy chairs for the week, snacks, etc...). #xplap

Q2: I add elements of the game to the classroom. For example, my game is a card game. I thought it would be a great idea to make some pillows of the cards for my student bench. It was a huge hit with the kids! Small things like that add another layer of fun! #XPLAP
A2: To keep them hooked, of course the #tlap hooks are the bomb! But surprising them with new challenges along the way including brain teasers or puzzles keep the excitement level high. #xplap

A3: I need to find some sort of rubber-banding strategy to keep everyone in the game until the end. Perhaps have certain XP boosters that cost less if you are at a lower level. Or a major side-quest that finds some holy grail type of massive value. #xplap
This is definitely something I need to do better next year. I think it needs to be two parts like you said...new parts to the narrative, and new items/powers. Both are important to keep fresh and living. #XPLAP

I'm late! 8 minutes left! I'm Beth and I teach Ceramics and Video Game Design and my favorite place to get lost is either in the art tutorials on YouTube, knitting patterns on Ravelry, or the ceramics section of the library. #XPLAP

I want to make a classroom yearbook. Or more specifically-I want my Ss to make a classroom yearbook using G Slides this year. Monthly reflecting on how we've grown and what we've learned. #XPLAP
I read a blog about this recently. Each kid was given a slide of a slide deck to put their best memory from the class on. I am doing this next year for the open house. Everyone gets recognized and I get to celebrate them all! #XPLAP
