I became a T because I had a great childhood and I wanted to contribute to the joy of my Ss' childhoods.
I became a teacher because it is the only thing I ever wanted to do. I decided to become a teacher when I was 5. I became a TOSA because I love collaborating and sharing and supporting amazing teachers. #tosachat

I have to say connecting with #TOSAChat has made me a much better TOSA. Gets me out of my silo to hear what great things other TOSAs are doing. I leave every Monday night ready for the week.

A1: I think it really started for me when @LindseyBlass1 added me to #connectedtl voxer group and then I went to #fallcue and immersed myself in all the people I had only voxed with #tosachat

A2. Trying to change the mindset of tech from app driven to outcome driven. Struggling to build PD that stresses the learning outcomes while still thoroughly explaining how to use the tool. #TOSAChat

A2: I would like to explore really diving deep into developing learning experiences for students supported by feedback along the way that allows for choice and iteration. Not a bunch of one and done assignments. #tosachat

Q3. I was kind of thrown for a loop this year, but I try to bring play I to everything, even redirection. Play begets laughter, the magic stuffs. #TOSAChat

Technology CAN be a form of PLAY and can be CONNECTED with other types of play.
Technology can be used for creation, documentation, gamification, and MORE. It can be used ALONGSIDE hands-on learning. #innovatingplay#tosachat

A3: The biggest thing for us is our Gamified PD with @AlludoPlay. Teachers can explore and literally play a game while they learn. My team and I are doing our best to use that as an Individualized Learning Plan for our teachers. #TOSAchat

We also played standard board/card games in our summer Innovation camp and had Ts think about what Ss learn while playing, then challenged them to change a rule and play again... was so fun! And of course thereâs always Breakout ;) #TOSAchat

A4: Just as I had to differentiate in my classroom, I must do so for my teachers. Meet them where they are and guide them one step away from their comfort zone. I am a GO BIG or GO HOME kind of person so I have really had to tone it down ;) #TOSAchat

A4: I am not a coach, but end up presenting at staff meetings a lot. I learned I need to engage them in fun ways, just like I do my students. Just talking at them is boring - the doing is fun! #TOSAChat

I don't totally disagree w/ this, but I also feel like everyone needs a coach for always. Professional athletes don't get rid of their coaches just because they make a pro team. Maybe our Ts outgrow us, but every teacher needs a coach. And every coach needs a coach. #tosachat

Completely agree with a need for a coach! Things change so fast and I always need someone to bounce ideas off of, help when I get writerâs block, and sometimes just for a jumpstart! A good coach can be a life saver! #Tosachat

Well it's been 4 years and I am still in my role but I do know that these roles change. Practices like lesson studies and peer observations should become more routine so that they continue on after our roles morph into something else. #Tosachat

I hate that something we know is good 4 teachers is dependent on money. If only edu was better funded. I totally see this point though, bummer we have to think this way. I find it hard to give others the opportunities to grow and lead when admin priorities arent aligned #tosachat
