A1: Have an emergency contact system to connect the student straight to the school. If the student does not feel safe they can immediately notify the school of the situation #fearlessedchat
Hi! KT here from SWVA.
A1: Number 1 wish would be paid year gold subscription to @nearpod so my kids and I can better explore VR and the emailed notes factor! #fearlessedchat
A1: My wish is more results of studies on how schools with less homework have happier, more successful students. Sort of radical I know, but I feel that homework kills the spirit faster than anything else in a kid. #fearlessedchat
A2: I LOVE using a tech focused #ask3b4me like the one below. It encourages students to use their resources as well as each other to achieve their goal and answer questions. #FearlessEdChat
I would love to have an activity where two students connect online with a nursing home resident. They could set up a skype call and talk to them about their favorite Christmas memory #fearlessedchat
A2: In our education department, we spend a lot of time with different programs which we add to our digital portfolio in Tech of Instruction class #gccedu has definitely given me a lot of ideas for collaboration and project-based learning #fearlessedchat

A2: Using Google Apps is the easiest way I have Ss collaborate. My district has strict restrictions on different apps or websites so I haven't found something better and "approved" yet. #fearlessedchat
In 2019, I want to discover ways that my students can grow globally. Iโm back on an elementary campus after quite a few years in middle school, and Iโm realizing that the tech restrictions are pretty different. #FearlessEdChat
A3: Always start with the objective and standard in mind. If we make sure that what we do is content and results focused/driven, then we avoid the issue of tech just being tech and teaching just being teaching #FearlessEdChat
A3: I love using technology in stations. Intentionally creating a collaborative station, face-to-face with T station, and a tech station works beautifully! #fearlessedchat
Yes!!! GAFE is life in our district too! You can also use @Seesaw@padlet and @nearpod for collaboration elements- our district has a strict vetting process and these all made the cut :-) #fearlessedchat

A2 Most recently, my kiddos have been using Google Slides for a collaborative writing assignment. They are loving it and are so engaged! #FearlessEdChat
A1: Ooo that's such a good question! I'd love to be able to have a technology that makes learning fun and engaging but can also be done at home and monitored so you can see how much the students complete the task #fearlessedchat
A3: our 21st century world creates more mind-blowing things every year- however it is important to take advice from other teachers' experiences and approach with a blended version of the traditional and progressive #fearlessedchat
A3: To not forget to provide the "WHY?" for inclusion of tech and teaching. If we simply introduce a new tech something, there's less connection and understanding for students #fearlessedchat
That 13 yr old age and under group does have its own set of rules - but it can be done! You have an awesome resource in @Whitney_Agee to help brainstorm ways to make this happen! #fearlessedchat
A1: Having a PLN is a great way to connect to people all over the world and share the love from classroom to classroom. Having a twitter has helped me connect to so many amazing educators #fearlessedchat

A4: Where do I begin? Use #GoogleClassroom to assign a copy to each student and differentiate assignments by only selecting those who need it. #ChoiceBoards allow students to pick their product. #Hyperdocs allow students to work at their own pace. #FearlessEdChat
A3: Make sure that you are using tech in your classroom with a purpose! Incorporate it into places that could be aided by a tech tool, you don't want it to be a distractor #fearlessedchat
A3 Itโs important that we remember that technology is always changing. We need to embrace this and use to our advantage! Incorporate technology as a means of growth and extension, not a glorified word processor. Be willing to seek help and try new things! #FearlessEdChat
A3: To not forget to provide the "WHY?" for inclusion of tech and teaching. If we simply introduce a new tech something, there's less connection and understanding for students #fearlessedchat
A4: By sending notes of gratitude. It's a win/win because it shows you appreciate them and that you're willing to take time from your schedule to show appreciation! #fearlessedchat
A4: Tech tools can be easily tossed at students without much thought, be the educator that puts time and effort into what you are creating, know your students strengths and play to them while guiding their weakness to make them stronger #fearlessedchat
A4: Google Classroom, PDs on tech for teachers, Hyperdocs, Tiered Hyperdocs, out of the norm formative assessments (Google Drawings, Slides, and forms), BreakoutEDU, pull resources from https://t.co/qcK0OTd8IL#FearlessEdChat
A4: Ypou could have a school-wide project of sharing the love online where they can connect with students by filming videos of the class. They could introduce themselves and talk about their interests #fearlessedchat
I used @SeeSaw in 7th grade and @nearpod has been used with Adults too - so yup! Both can be used with K-12+ depending on how you utilize it - AND both have free versions! #FearlessEdChat

A4: With the adaptations and modifications available in ed tech today, especially with 1:1 programs (if you are fortunate enough to have one, as I did in HS) the possibilities for inclusion are endless- a lesson plan is far from uniform! #fearlessedchat
A4 I really want to get better at using tech for student response. Iโve used flipgrid and have plans to continue to develop this area of instruction. This lets every student have a voice! #FearlessEdChat
A1: I want to learn and continue using new strategies. Of course refining those Iโve already learned this year to become an even more effective teacher is always a goal! #FearlessEdChat
A3: My kinders do writers workshop with paper and pencil but then we collaborate by putting our work in Seesaw ..then we can ask questions, offer suggestions to โpolishโ and we can offer praise to one another. #FearlessEdChat
Thank you #FearlessEdChat for a wonderful chat! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and don't forget to unplug, unwind, and spend time with those you love!
A2: @thackerkinder18 and I have created pen pals for our kinder students using Google Classroom and Google Docs! They love asking each other questions and sharing ideas! #FearlessEdChat

A5: As a pre-service teacher, Iโm definitely still learning! Taking in all the information I can from others is so important. Thankfulfor all the amazing people that are teaching me to be a teacher #fearlessedchat
I absolutely love this quote!!! I am so excited for the next wave of teachers if they are all just as hungry and eager to learn as @ashlyntucker_ed#FearlessEdChat

A4: Google Classroom was so intimidating initially, but after practicing with my Kinder babies they are able to login and select their differentiated activities independently! #FearlessEdChat
@DreamBox_Learn for math @Istationed for ELAR are amazing (but cost $$) you can also utilize tools like @nearpod in student paced mode, @Seesaw activities and beef up your @GoogleForEdu Forms - all to be accessed at home and provide data and results for teachers #FearlessEdChat

A2: having them share their traditions with their family at home on @flipgrid!Then we watch them at school. We get to see a peek into their life outside of school and how we are all alike and different. I even did it with my family tonight!
#FearlessEdChat
@rlmiller137 A2: My students use @Seesaw to share their learning. Oftentimes, other students will help by recording their friends thinking. They love to go back later and look through each other's work! #fearlessedchat#kindergarten
