  • RMayTraining Sep 5 @ 9:55 PM EDT

A3: I teach Spanish. Spanish content is what I was hired to teach. However in the past ~5 yrs my biggest impact has been on high-risk kids. I help them know how much they are loved! I help them believe they can succeed. Some decided against suicide!! #MakeItReal
  • SteinbrinkLaura Sep 5 @ 9:56 PM EDT
Right? And the thing ALL of her Ss that she had in the 7th grade (she taught Kinders too) remember that she read Where the Red Fern Grows to them and they LOVED it even though it made them cry at the end. :) #MakeItReal #BeTheOne

A3. Take the time to Care. You may not see it in the year. Someone else may. As an AP my colleague and I tried each day to speak to a HS senior who was a “selective mute.” One day he began talking to us. He continued every day until end of year graduation. #MakeItReal #BeTheOne
