A1: I had 3, my elem music T Mrs Chris, my JrHi band director Mr. Mendez, and my HS band director Mr. Wharton. They all taught teamwork and striving for excellence!

A1: More than 1. Mrs. Johnston, HS English. Mrs. Schon, Journalism. Miss Virgil, Spanish. Dr. Mancing, college Spanish. He even helped me when I was lost in Spain! #MakeItReal
A1: Both my parents were amazing educators in their own right, and I had a few teachers at school that influenced me, one in particular, because she didn't let me complain about math class. She said it challenged me, but that didn't mean I wasn't good at it. #MakeItReal
A1: Mrs. Lewis, my third-grade teacher, drew me out of my timidness, held me to high expectations, and supported me on my journey when she knew the demons I faced. She changed my life at ages 8 and 9. We're Facebook friends today. #MakeItReal

A2: I don't know the answer you're looking for because I haven't read your book yet, but I would say LOVE. Kids can tell whether you love or care about them or not and whether you are sincere. #MakeItReal
A1. 8th-9th grade ELA. Mr. Robinson. Class was so much fun. Loved the way he taught author’s craft using written pieces and films. I’ve never read a book or watched a movie the same way again. Authors Craft is everywhere. He prepared me to teach! #MakeItReal#BeTheOne

For sure! My dad passed in 2010, and I miss him as a dad AND as an amazing resource. He had over 500 attend his funeral in our high school gym. That's big for our small community. :) Inspiring to see the lives he touched. #MakeItReal

Same. My mom can walk into a room and a student 30 years ago will rush up and hug her. That's the kind of legacy we want to leave. #MakeItReal#BeTheOne for Kids.

A3: I teach Spanish. Spanish content is what I was hired to teach. However in the past ~5 yrs my biggest impact has been on high-risk kids. I help them know how much they are loved! I help them believe they can succeed. Some decided against suicide!! #MakeItReal
Right? And the thing ALL of her Ss that she had in the 7th grade (she taught Kinders too) remember that she read Where the Red Fern Grows to them and they LOVED it even though it made them cry at the end. :) #MakeItReal#BeTheOne
