    R1 - just like with athletic teams, I have to trust the coach before I’ll play my hardest for him. No different than with an administrator. I have to know you see, hear, value, & care for me. #EDpiper

    A2: I've noticed in the strikes it's generally the same things being asked for repeatedly...smaller class sizes, mental health supports (inc. counselors & nurses), fair wages. Ts know what STUDENTS need & what they need to be successful for Ss. #EDpiper

    R2: in Indiana, there is a serious shortage of Ts. Unfortunately, our governor is not asking Ts why this is the case and is putting business leaders on the committee to investigate. In addition, our letter grading system for schools is being revamped w/o input as well #EDpiper

    A3: One of the biggest things to help alleviate stress is to consider whether you are respecting time. Ts don't mind giving you their time if they feel it's useful...but if it's wasted...frustration leads to anger. #EDpiper

    I love seeing my administrators in my room because then I feel like they’re connected and aware of the hard work that is taking place. I really hate that classroom walkthroughs always seem to get put on the back burner. #EDpiper

    A3: Remind them how appreciative you are of them. That can be said with extra time to plan (if possible), covering a class, words of encouragement. They also never said no to food. #edpiper

    I did the same. A day w friends & family, away from work, no guilt, no need to hide it, can work wonders for a stressed teacher. I told teachers they have to learn to live & work simultaneously. Go to family events & be present. No do-overs when you’re old. #edpiper

    We celebrate on many levels, some not serious. One of the teachers walks around w/a Monday Night Football sheet ever week. He posts winner and keeps running tally. We always recognize staff who are staring new programs for the school, etc. Celebrate BDays at staff mtgs. #edpiper

    A6: Teachers wear many hats & have some of the hardest jobs! We can celebrate teachers by supporting their wellbeing. This could be dedicating our time, regularly checking in and continuing to provide resources and opportunities for mindfulness during the day. #edpiper
