#FLedchat is a virtual meeting place using Twitter. Educators across the state of Florida come together on Wednesdays at 8pm EST to discuss the topics of the week.
A1: Provide students an option on how they can show their learning. Give students opportunity to show how their passions can meet those standards. #FLedChat
A1: It always comes down to relationships in my opinion... create a safe space where students feel challenged and encouraged to try, and the rest will follow. Every time. #FLEdChat
A1. I agree about building relationships. Also about giving students options for showing their learning. Have students build their own connections to the standards as well. #FLedChat
A4. Techy: blogging, podcasting, vodcasting, green screen. Non-techy: each kid gets a space in the hall & shares their writing there. Invite the community in to read! #FLedChat
A5: Encourage students to find something inspirational for each project. Also encourage conversation about their hobbies outside of school. Value their passions. #FLedChat
A5: Teaching Flexibility how to think, research, and curate information rather than teaching only content knowledge or how to use specific tools. #FLedChat
