I think that the wealth of information on the internet/through social media allows freedom for teachers to determine what will help them the most. Every student and classroom is unique so PD cannot be one size fits all! #EduMatch

I think it lets companies try out ideas with a little bit lower stakes (people haven't had to pay) and see what teachers respond well to and want to see.

Teachers are loyal! When teachers find value in what they are learning from a company, they are going to continue to follow the company or product. Additionally, they are going to pass this information onto their peers. #EduMatch

Free virtual PD is really flexible - it can be about whatever the presenter wants to share and it can stay on the cutting edge. That can very easily lend itself to PD about how to use tech in the classroom.
#EduMatch A5: Virtual PD is new to me, but it is so beneficial to be able to participate when you don't have to be their in person. You can then continue the connections with other educators to continually expand your learning.
Teachers are always looking for new technology to use in the classroom, but we are often tied down during the day taking care of our students needs, making phone calls, sending emails, lesson planning, copying, etc. Using virtual PD allows us to learn on our terms! #EduMatch

Agreed - authenticity and availability of the learning from experts is amazing, but I also love the opportunity for ANYONE to share and teach others such as teachers who don't normally have the opportunity to share their voice and #edurockstar style as well! #ECGlobal#edumatch
