Hello #iaedchat! Allyson, elementary principal in MI, joining in. Great topic! Had the pleasure of hearing your @danpbutler speak this week at #MEMSPA17
I would love to give a standing ovation to @heatherfuger for leading our elementary team! Thanks for everything you do for our students and staff. #iaedchat
Good evening, #iaedchat. Terri, PreK-8 teacher in computer lab in Omaha. Rarely do I enjoy movie as much as a book, but #Wonder is amazing in both formats!
A1: Kindness, empathy, grit and friendship is what school PK-12 should be about, all day, everyday! These are some of the most important things we can teach and model for students #IAedChat
A1: In individual classrooms I think we see those things all of the time. Sometimes we see them in schools with leaders who value them. Systemically? Probably not where we want to be. #iaedchat
A1: Kindness, empathy, grit, and friendship are all essential components of the educational setting. These skills ensure students will have success in both school and life #IAedchat
A1: If we can’t live and breathe these things in a school setting, how in the world can we function as a society?
Answer… we can’t. We need to GROW and encourage these soft skills.
#IAedChat
A1: They’re the skills that kids need modeled by the adults in our schools. They accompany other “soft skills” that are essential to navigating a challenging world. They’re critical components to creating a school that kids deserve. #iaedchat
A1: I always felt like if I didn’t teach these things in my classroom, what if my students weren’t exposed to them? We have to teach what we want to see in our students, not just expect it! #iaedchat
A1 we all have different skills/passions that we go forth & share with others in life. If we don’t have kindness, empathy, grit, and friendship skills we can’t maximize our talents. Our job as educators is to strengthen all of the above for our Ss to contribute in life #iaedchat
A1. I think as educators we set up school and classroom structures that let Ss learn and practice these skills. We also demonstrate these skills through our own actions. #iaedchat
A1: These are skills students must practice and be able to carry into the real world. Teachers and staff model these skills so our students can see them in action. #iaedchat
A1: When it comes to education it is very important to encourage your students. You also don't want to stress them out or their affective filter will close.
#IAedchat
A1: All of these are components of building relationships with our students and colleagues. This has to be part of our culture. It's the way we do business. #iaedchat#keyrocks#bentoncsd#beabobcat
A1: These skills are essential for ours students in order to be successful in life. They need to know what they look like and sound like, and have plenty of chances to practice growing them. #iaedchat
A1: I also think it's obvious in schools where it is clear that leaders value any (or all) of those traits. We share what we value. We recognize what we value. #iaedchat
A1.2 Many of our students cannot learn reading or math before we focus on the skills o kindness, empathy, grit and friendship. #necessaryskills#iaedchat.
A1: These skills are foundational and must be taught, modeled, and practiced all of the time. They will not show up on a school report card, Iowa Assessments, or anything else where schools are rated. If my students have these, our school is winning. #IAedChat
#IAedchat#Wonder Ts and Ss need kindness to be ready to teach/learn. Ts need grit to get into their craft and do what’s right for kids. Friendship helps us all to trust one another.
You know I'm with you. It's great when we can get school boards to also realize this is vitally important. I want to provide a board presentation about the value of kindness...not just data. :) #iaedchat
A1: I think is vital that we are teaching, showing&living by example of all of these characteristics when we are working with&around our students. They are watching us more than we think and pick up on even more!#IAedChat
Q2: In Wonder, Auggie has to adjust to a completely new and uncertain setting at school. Describe a time when you have had to make a big adjustment as an educator. #IAedchat
A1. Kindness, grit, empathy, and friendship are essential components in our everyday lives that we need to suceed. Ss learn empathy through modeling and demonstrations in clrm. Building Rel. w/friendship and learn grit. #iaedchat
A1: I always felt like if I didn’t teach these things in my classroom, what if my students weren’t exposed to them? We have to teach what we want to see in our students, not just expect it! #iaedchat
You know I'm with you. It's great when we can get school boards to also realize this is vitally important. I want to provide a board presentation about the value of kindness...not just data. :) #iaedchat
A1 our biggest priority in educating students at any age is remembering that our biggest accomplishment should be creating quality humans who add to our communities! #iaedchat
A2: My biggest adjustment as an educator was when I started putting students before content --
strong supporter of ASCD's whole child initiative https://t.co/vzo0Gv2rDA#IAedchat
A2: I’ve had a few big adjustments-one from kindergarten to middle school, and then from teaching to being a literacy consultant, and although I love my current job, I sooo miss the students #iaedchat
A2: This year is a perfect example of adjustment, as we welcomed a whole new (wonderful) administration team, after having the same principal for all 24 of my previous teaching years. #iaedchat
Q2: In Wonder, Auggie has to adjust to a completely new and uncertain setting at school. Describe a time when you have had to make a big adjustment as an educator. #IAedchat
A2: My biggest adjustment as an educator was when I started putting students before content --
strong supporter of ASCD's whole child initiative https://t.co/vzo0Gv2rDA#IAedchat
A2: I was a K-12 principal in a charter school then transitioned to an elem principal in a traditional district. I had to be a learner first, focused on relationship-building.
#IAedchat
A2: Every time I took a new job at a new school and last year was a perfect example as I held three positions in one year Dean of Ss/Associate Principal/Activities Director #lotsoflearning#IAedchat
A2: Anytime we make adjustments, we need to embrace the possibility of failure. We need to encourage this and learn from it. Put ourselves in situations like Auggie in order to grow…. Grow our faith in others and grow in our own learning. #IAedChat
Q2: In Wonder, Auggie has to adjust to a completely new and uncertain setting at school. Describe a time when you have had to make a big adjustment as an educator. #IAedchat
A2: When I was in the classroom, I made sure that I took time to connect with my students on a personal level, engaging in purposeful conversations with them that had nothing to do with content. #iaedchat
A1: I also think it's obvious in schools where it is clear that leaders value any (or all) of those traits. We share what we value. We recognize what we value. #iaedchat
A2: Due to enrollment I went from a grade 2/3 to a straight grade 3. This meant changes to my class composition and curriculum. It took some adjustment, but all went well! #iaedchat
A2: I myself was an ELL so i feel that i can use this experience and knowledge to help make an inclusive classroom. It is always a good idea to focus you classrooms with strategies that work for ELLs to acomadate for everyone.
#IAedchat
A2: Transitioning from classroom teacher to IC. I get the opportunity to learn from my colleagues each and every day by being in their spaces and reflecting with them. #keyrocks#iaedchat
A2. For me big adjusts come at the beginning of every school year. Learning about the personalities of all Ss and figuring what strategies work and do not work with each particular group of Ss. Adjusting teaching to personality of group. #iaedchat
A2: I myself was an ELL so i feel that i can use this experience and knowledge to help make an inclusive classroom. It is always a good idea to focus you classrooms with strategies that work for ELLs to acomadate for everyone.
#IAedchat
A1: At our school, we teach the 5 lifelong guidelines and 18 lifeskills. We use target talk and hold weekly classrooom meeting based on them. Amazing results. #IAedchat
A2: In every job change I have experienced, from Catholic school to rural public school to larger urban, public districts, there are things I’ve learned. In all of it, I have found joy in being with kids. That’s what matters. #iaedchat
A2: the biggest adjustment was a few years ago when our district went through a lot of changes&there were administrative changes in our building. There are days where I’m still adjusting. #IAedChat
A1 Hi Scot from Des Moines public class spent time focusing on kindness created better place for collaboration as learning https://t.co/D1TpWxRwg4#iaedchat
Q3: Empathy is discussed directly and indirectly in Wonder. It has been said if our country was just a little more empathetic, we would be in a much better place. Your thoughts? #IAedchat
Q2: In Wonder, Auggie has to adjust to a completely new and uncertain setting at school. Describe a time when you have had to make a big adjustment as an educator. #IAedchat
A3. Absolutely. Our country, Our communities, our schools, our classrooms, our families.
A little more Empathy! Such a simple thing which can make such a positive difference. #IAedchat
Q3: Empathy is discussed directly and indirectly in Wonder. It has been said if our country was just a little more empathetic, we would be in a much better place. Your thoughts? #IAedchat
A2b - Job change, school change, classroom change, schedule change…. any adjustment, big or small, warrants reflection on how to embrace change to be a better you. #IAedChat
A3: As a society, we need to quit making everything about ME. We need to think more critically about others and how they’re trying the best they can… assume positive intent. We’d be in a much better place. #IAedChat
A3: I always taught about empathy to my students, if we can understand others in the world around us and have compassion for others, how would the world not be a better place? #IAedChat
A3: proud to say that our counseling staff adopted the saying “Spread kindness like confetti” this year. It’s a great theme because it cuts to what we need to do in our schools. #iaedchat
Q3: Empathy is discussed directly and indirectly in Wonder. It has been said if our country was just a little more empathetic, we would be in a much better place. Your thoughts? #IAedchat
Q3: Empathy is discussed directly and indirectly in Wonder. It has been said if our country was just a little more empathetic, we would be in a much better place. Your thoughts? #IAedchat
A2: I am a student teacher right now. I went from an 5th grade class in a wealthy community to a 2nd grade class at an at risk school. Seeing the difference was incredible. #iaedchat
A3 empathy can do so much to build relationships and bridge gaps between those with different views and ideas. Empathy should be a corner stone of education and democracy today #iaedchat
Yes I believe that as educators it is our job to give the students the necessary traits to succed in life and it is a priority to build them as people. Giving them the understanding of others and skills like these are the first steps.
#IAedchat
A3: I agree! I use the @ClassDojo video series on empathy to start our class discussion. I try to do an empathy activity at least twice a month. #iaedchat
A3: We so often try to put ourselves in others' shoes. We need to allow ppl to stay in own shoes while we try to understand how they feel. Not how WE would feel in their situation. #IAedchat
A3: Empathy can play a huge role in a student’s life. The smallest moments can change a child’s day. Having little notes to encourage students or just making sure to make positive comments is so important. #iaedchat
A3: When I have the opportunity to talk with kids about behavior, I always talk about the invisible baggage we all carry. Seeing with the eyes of another. Hearing with the ears of another. Feeling with the heart of another. #iaedchat
A3. We agree. I think empathy is something that has been lost in the current political climate. It would help if we would do more listening to what different groups need and trying to compromise to find a solution. #iaedchat
A3: Empathy is one BIG piece of the pie. YES - As adults, we need to explicity teach empathy. Empathy can start as a skill but needs to delevop into a way of being. #iaedchat
A3: Empathy must exist at all levels in schools. We (teachers, admin, etc.) must also have empathy for students and their situations. Too easy to assume motivations (or lack thereof...). #iaedchat
A3: We so often try to put ourselves in others' shoes. We need to allow ppl to stay in own shoes while we try to understand how they feel. Not how WE would feel in their situation. #IAedchat
A3: I think that if we can get students, teachers, heck, all individuals to do this quote, the world would be a better place! #IAedChat It starts with US! #leadbyexample
A3 Empathy is absolutely key in a variety of situations and even mental health. Many times just listening and truly hearing what a person or student is going through and hearing their emotion can help us build empathy. #iaedchat
A3: Stepping outside of yourself to understand how, and maybe why, someone feels they way they do is always a positive step in helping and solving problems. We could definitely use more of this! #iaedchat
Q3: Empathy is discussed directly and indirectly in Wonder. It has been said if our country was just a little more empathetic, we would be in a much better place. Your thoughts? #IAedchat
#iaedchat if we r going to truly prepare our ss for the future we must make sure that empathy, collaboration is part of our curriculum...allow our ss to develop their genius to build better tomorrow
I think empathy might be the absolute most important thing we can try and instill in our students and our staffs (and to model for them). It's not hard to consider things from the perspective of another. #iaedchat
A3: I feel like #empathy is the antidote to cruelty and bullying behaviors. In fact, empathy gives #kindness its why.
@micheleborba is my go-to empathy expert. You must read #UnSelfie if you haven't already. #iaedchat
A3. Empathy is important in the clrm. or school, just as kindness. If everyone could share and spread these emotions, there would be less problems in the world. #iaedchat
A3: As a building principal, I truly work to be empathetic for what teachers experience daily. I know the heavy lifting that is required to move a class of kids on their own learning journeys. I appreciate what our teachers do daily for kids. #iaedchat
A3: Empathy is one BIG piece of the pie. YES - As adults, we need to explicity teach empathy. Empathy can start as a skill but needs to delevop into a way of being. #iaedchat
A4: Making someone feel small does not build empathy; it showcases our small-mindedness. We need to model assuming positive intent and be witnesses to the GOOD. #IAedChat@jimknight99
A4: I am a big believer in killing with kindness and also that what goes around comes around. If you continue to point out other people's faults, you need to look at your own #IAedchat
Well this right here might just take the cake here tonight. I’m throwing that saying right out the window. Don’t try to walk in someone else’s shoes. Walk their walk in your own shoes and build empathy. #IAedChat
A3: We so often try to put ourselves in others' shoes. We need to allow ppl to stay in own shoes while we try to understand how they feel. Not how WE would feel in their situation. #IAedchat
I love that quote. Ultimately, one of the lessons I try and teach my daughters is to kill people with kindness. Being kind is a choice that positively impacts all we come in contact with. #iaedchat
I think this is so important not just for your students, but with your staff. I see a lot of teachers try to look better than others when really we should all be in it together. #iaedchat
A4: So true. We are all equal. No one can assume they know another's story. The world is a better place when we try to learn from one another. #IAedchat
I think this is so important not just for your students, but with your staff. I see a lot of teachers try to look better than others when really we should all be in it together. #iaedchat
A4 everyone is walking around with their own baggage, on their own adventure. Be someone to lighten the load, or be entertainer on the trip! Then the next time you meet a bump on the road you might just find yourself on the receiving end of this as well! #iaedchat
A4: We are always teaching with every interaction we have. When our students see us being kind to them and their classmates, they learn how to build each other up. #iaedchat
I love that quote. Ultimately, one of the lessons I try and teach my daughters is to kill people with kindness. Being kind is a choice that positively impacts all we come in contact with. #iaedchat
A4. I agree. I feel it is important to be kinder than what others treat you. It is hard to do sometimes, but one does not know what situations someone is facing, and the words used can impact. Use positive words to be that kind of impact. #iaedchat
And glitter just spreads and spreads...let’s build each other up and wonder how we will ever get the glitter cleaned up from all the amazing work we do in education #IAedChat
It's not even a matter of being on the same team, I don't think. It's about decency. It's about improving the lives of all around us. It's about choosing to build people up and not tear them down. #iaedchat
A4 I really think teaching and modeling kindness is important for our students. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it is a soft skill they need for college and careers. Service learning can help with teaching kindness/empathy. #iaedchat
A4: shine your kind and be a beacon of light and positivity in the world. Wish for others what you would like to have for yourself. Their successes should bring you joy, not sadness or envy. #IAedchat
A5: The"fluff" IS the teaching!
When students know that teachers truly care about them, that is when learning can occur. People who do not believe in the "fluff", need the "fluff" the most. #iaedchat
Truth. We have the same objective of serving students and being good people. That is what I intended to communicate with being on the same team. Make sense? #IAedChat
It's not even a matter of being on the same team, I don't think. It's about decency. It's about improving the lives of all around us. It's about choosing to build people up and not tear them down. #iaedchat
A5: Students need to leave our classrooms knowing the importance of empathy, kindness, grit, and friendship, and the reality of life - and how to approach those who don’t embrace these things. Rise above them. #IAedChat
A5: I would first ask them to explain and look for ways to find a common ground. Some things are State mandates and in some cases the teacher may be correct #IAedchat
A4 everyone is walking around with their own baggage, on their own adventure. Be someone to lighten the load, or be entertainer on the trip! Then the next time you meet a bump on the road you might just find yourself on the receiving end of this as well! #iaedchat
That's an interesting way to articulate that point. I think you are so right. It's tough when we run into people who don't believe that. Who believe in school being about compliance, content and solely academic achievement. #iaedchat
A5 I would push back and say real learning cannot happen w/ out kindness trust grit trust the “fluff” building those relationships creates Ss want to succeed #iaedchat
A5: When Ts complain they have no time to teach interpersonal "soft" skills, ask them to tell you who their favorite person is and why. Bet they don't say anything about math skills. #IAedchat
A5 The "fluff" of teaching/modeling empathy and kindness should gain learning time in the long run due to saved minutes that used to go to behavioral issues and group work issues. Plus, we are here to help child succeed as adult...kindness is needed skill. #iaedchat
Agreed! It's the intentionality which puts kindness in perspective. Acts of kindness shouldn't be about the "randomness" per se' but rather the fact that someone recognized a need & acted upon it. @RandomActsOrg#iaedchat#Kindness
In reply to
@BarbaraGruener, @RandomActsOrg, @RandomActsOrg
A5: Kindness isn't something extra on our plate; it IS the plate. We simply cannot thrive in a climate that doesn't promote kindness and care. How we treat each other matters; it's not fluff, it's our future! #iaedchat
A5: When I start my own school (famous last words of every passionate educator...), empathy and kindness will be part of the "core curriculum". Not fluff at all. The whole purpose of the place. #iaedchat
No matter what you are teaching you have to do it with a passion. If you don't find meaning in what you are teaching than the students won't either.
#iaedchat
A5: You can never underestimate the power of human connection. It is truly what makes the difference. I saw my first group of students a few weeks back. Did we talk about my amazing math lessons or the times we played knock out on the playground together? #iaedchat
A5: In this school, learning is a joyful act. For it to be joyful, it is rooted in relationships. Kids aren’t going to care about what you teach if you don’t care about who they are and who they want to be. #iaedchat
Any qualified person can teach the content but to truly connect with students AND parents you need the "fluff" this makes learner richer and authentic #iaedchat
Q6: These skills are foundational and drive future learning for all kids. What ideas do you have to build the skills of empathy, kindness, grit, and friendship? #IAedChat
A5: When I start my own school (famous last words of every passionate educator...), empathy and kindness will be part of the "core curriculum". Not fluff at all. The whole purpose of the place. #iaedchat
A6: To help students learn about empathy, grit, friendship and kindness, classrooms can develop service projects to help their communities or communities in need #iaedchat
You're right. It's not even close. I imagine a world where we do a much better job of utilizing the power of stories and connections to determine the success of our schools. #iaedchat
A5: Building relationships is what education is all about! Showing students how much you care about them is how to build these relationships! #iaedchat
A6: Here’s a start….
Empathy - embrace diversity
Kindness - teach the stark difference between kindness and being nice
Grit - help develop a growth mindset by embracing mistakes
Friendship - teach and model respect, compassion, empathy, inclusion, and kindness
#IAedChat
A6: We publicly recognize our students who are not only successful in the classroom, but those that are doing kind things as well. We read why these students were chosen in front of our 500 students once a month. We make it a big deal! #iaedchat
A6: honestly I think modeling these things for students is so important, talk about good friendships, how you feel for others, think aloud, show the students how these values are a part of life every day as an adult #iaedchat
A6: We use a mental health program called "be nice." https://t.co/T0jbRBSuIZ to encourage students to notice, invite, challenge and empower each other and themselves. #iaedchat
Q6: These skills are foundational and drive future learning for all kids. What ideas do you have to build the skills of empathy, kindness, grit, and friendship? #IAedChat
A6 find stories to share and use your platform to make them come alive. There are amazing stories out there that teach real life lessons. Bring them to the classrooms! #iaedchat
A6: A monthly kindness activity for another classroom or group of staff. Also like to write weekly Thank You notes (with @jimmyfallon music and all!) #iaedchat
A6: Here’s a start….
Empathy - embrace diversity
Kindness - teach the stark difference between kindness and being nice
Grit - help develop a growth mindset by embracing mistakes
Friendship - teach and model respect, compassion, empathy, inclusion, and kindness
#IAedChat
A6: Any skill you want others to learn and/or follow need to be modeled by you. Set up opportunities for them to learn why they are important and make sure they are acknowledged when they are displayed. #IAedchat
I'm in, John. Like, all the way in. Systemically, it seems hard to make those kinds of changes. So many factors inhibiting true, transformative, systemic change. #iaedchat
A6. Model these behaviors constantly. Give positive reinforcement when we see this in the school/classroom. Pick one or more of these traits to focus on each week/month etc. Create a school culture which revolves around these skills rather than the "don'ts" #iaedchat
Q6: These skills are foundational and drive future learning for all kids. What ideas do you have to build the skills of empathy, kindness, grit, and friendship? #IAedChat
A6: Service learning at any level is a great thing to do to help teach and model kindness and empathy. Reading materials and curriculum that have these embedded help as well. #iaedchat
A6: As a principal, I read to each classroom once per month. A children's book that teaches a foundational skill. Description here: https://t.co/QFcZTirxyP I LOVE THIS TIME. #IAedChat
A6: We have been learning about restorative practices. This is a great way to build that gives everyone a chance to share and state their own opinion. It can be time consuming, but it really builds a great classroom environment. #iaedchat
A6: Inviting students to switch places with one another and experience other abilities helps build perspective and elevate #empathy! https://t.co/2oIJJ26ROo#iaedchat
A6: Encouraging students to understand the differences in people and that working together is a great way to improve yourself and those around you.
#iaedchat
If you want to see pure joy on the faces of students finding out they're going to #WonderTheMovie, watch the last two minutes of this video: https://t.co/q26ASNQnni#IAedChat (The first two minutes are pretty cool too)!
A6 find stories to share and use your platform to make them come alive. There are amazing stories out there that teach real life lessons. Bring them to the classrooms! #iaedchat
A6 to build these soft skills, it starts with modeling from teacher 2 student, teacher 2 parent, teacher 2 teacher, teacher 2 admin. "Do as I Do" not just as I say.#IAedchat
A6: We have been learning about restorative practices. This gives everyone a chance to share and state their own opinion. It can be time consuming, but it really builds a great classroom environment. #iaedchat
A7: I am working with teachers like @mdeveareau to share a Kindness Calendar in our school https://t.co/AchE1f8X1R to make students more aware of ways to be kind, empathetic and friendly #iaedchat
A6: school-wide common target talk with our life skills and LLGs. Robo and e blasts for P support at home. Weekly class meetings based on skill of week (like caring, initiative, perseverance); restorative reflection sheet based on them #IAedChat
Q6: These skills are foundational and drive future learning for all kids. What ideas do you have to build the skills of empathy, kindness, grit, and friendship? #IAedChat
A6 We have a group called "Joyology" that was created by a student and run by students. They sponsor kindness activities and challenges. Student groups like this can do amazing things with the student body! #iaedchat
#iaedchat We keep thinking within our current “silos” (classrooms, schools). Current schools do NOT serve generation Y. We must go outside and realize the new normal.
So agree, Nick! CALL THEM OUT and celebrate!
Here’s what we DO…..
not what we DON’T do. Sends such a more positive message and they can relate when you model it. #IAedCHAT
#IAedChat
A7: I can stay out of my own head, 'cuz it is really not about me. I can be patient. I can assume positive intent. I can go out of my way to help.
#IAedchat
A7: In the next 2 weeks before break, I plan to write a Thank you note to each of my students. Sharing with them what I am thankful they do for our class/school. #iaedchat
A7: Make a goal for the week for the whole class together. Point out when student’s are accomplishing this goal. Have students point out when their peers are accomplishing this goal as well! #iaedchat
A7: To model kindness, empathy, grit, and friendship I will be kind to others, I will share in others happiness and sorrow, I will continue to work hard to improve my practice, and I will make new friends and encourage others to do the same. #IAedchat
A7: I’m going to model for my babies. Live and breathe kindness and help them know the difference between nice and kind, friendly and friend. #IAedChat
One thing I do as a basketball coach is have a few girls at the end of every practice and game provide one specific positive/compliment to a teammate. Helps build/model kindness and friendship. #iaedchat
A7: Our leadership team is putting together plates of homemade treats for our bus drivers, print shop employees, maintenance & custodial staff, Superintendent's team, Business Office, Special Programs office, IT support staff. It's an annual tradition! #iaedchat
A7 we have an apology of action poster ...we realize that we all make mistakes but sometimes “sorry” doesn’t cut it....write a note, sit with a person u hurt during lunch etc #iaedchat
A7: I’m going to share a quote from #WonderTheMovie everyday on my board and take a few minutes to talk about it with my students and get their perspective on what it means to them! #IAedChat
A7: what will I model this week? Great question, I hope to model to teachers and instructional coaches that I work with grit...I know how tough these last couple weeks are before break, how to keep going strong for the kids every single minute we’ve got! #iaedchat
A7 this chat hit close to home tonight, thanks #iaedchat I will be intentional on making sure others know how much they mean to me and continue to pay that feeling forward. Cross paths with as many people as possible. We need each other!
A7. Sit down and talk to colleagues about what is happening in their life. This is a fast pace time of year. Important to maintain friendships. For Ss ask them about their weekend.. find time for those conversations. #iaedchat
#iaedchat Teachers are so "focused on the dance they do not hear the music” Meaning teachers are so focused on “doing it right” they miss the excitement of learning, creating.
A7: As we only have a week and a half left before we don't get to see our students for almost 2 weeks, I question myself "How could we not model these things?!!" Our students need to see us model these now more than ever. #iaedchat
A7: I’m going to share a quote from #WonderTheMovie everyday on my board and take a few minutes to talk about it with my students and get their perspective on what it means to them! #IAedChat
