A slow chat intended for international educators in Africa and beyond but open to anyone who is interested of course. We chat weekly on Thursdays from August to June starting at 7am GMT and going until whenever.
a1. The web's evolution has democratized the idea of learning. Teaching has had to catch up to it in many ways. So do we have such a culture as netizens? Of course we do. But is every school using to its full potential? Embedding it well? That needs reflection. #africaed

A1: I would love it if we could move to a more self-determined model of learning. Some opportunity to explore things in a PBL module exists. Those classes tend to be the arts or other classes where creative thinking is highly desired. It could be expanded #AfricaEd
Our Primary School has caught on to this. We create different kinds of media artifacts that showcase our learning. We celebrate learning and engage families and the community. We are working on buy-in in Secondary School. #AfricaEd
