Welcome to . Please introduce yourself & share if you have any special Halloween traditions. https://t.co/8KjxlP1xZC

-
My take on print vs digital is students prefer print more often probably 75% of the time or more

-
I remembered! Jenn from Fort Wayne area. Kiddos love going to trunk-or-treat carnival events rather than door to door. Fun times!

-
I often ask students if they want an item they are asking for in ebook format and they would rather wait for a hold to come in

-
Media spec from intermediate/middle school in Indy. My main tradition is buying candy I don't like so I won't eat the leftovers

-
My name is Michelle Houser. My Halloween tradition includes eating more candy than I give out.

-
Oh forgot - my bad - Hi everyone, Diane from Indy here

-
Debbie K-12 media specialist. Not really any Halloween traditions

-
Do you decorate your library for Halloween?

-
I don't decorate, but try to display more scary/thriller/paranormal books

-
Oops almost forgot...we also have a Halloween parade in town called the Calithumpian Festival on the last Monday in October.

-

-
Yes! HS Ss draped nets, spiders, skeleton door cover (scared myself), and few other things. Simple but fun.

-
Obviously I am having trouble following directions tonight :) Halloween - I enjoy all the little ones in cute costumes

-
. Figured you were just daring to go! :-)

-

I have a skull light and pumpkin that sit on my circ desk.

-
was SOOO good! Check out esp their

-
A1: Attended & So many great presenters & ideas. Interestingly enough, feedback big topic at both.

-
Callithumpian refers to a band of discordant instruments or a noisy parade. It was first noted in America in 1836.

-
A1: Also good to see so many teacher librarians at , several as presenters.

-
A1 Also was reminded about Indiana and the great offerings by

-
I attended ICE Loved sessions on Google cardboard, digital citizenship, and nearpod

-
A1 Met new librarian does badges in HS library. Love new connections at conferences!

-
Decatur has a week of activities leading up to the parade. Everyone wears costumes and it's been going on for like 100 years.

-
If I have motivated student aides, they do.

-
. Nearpod is great! I hope to demo for Ts when I start doing trainings.

-
was great this year. Information overload.

-
. Love traditions like that!

-
Had a great time at . Loved what I learned from

-
A1:A highlight for me was finally meeting after being virtually connected about 20 yrs! His sessions outstanding, too

-

-
. Why so much more gets done at HS vs MS. Although got idea today from conf

-
A2. I decide based on funding and what my people want. Right now, we want print.

-
A2 Tough. Most say want print but also have little/no experience w dig. Also much research on how read difft digitally be paper

-
The imagineering guy was great, I agree. He reminded me why teaching is so fun, also so many connections to PBLs

-
A2 Based on need and purpose. I purchase NF in print & digital & Fic in print only. We also have multiple databases 4 research.

-
Found out we are 3.5 years in 5 yr contract w Overdrive. No one knew. Great serv but expensive to keep up if no one using

-
. I'd say this is where I lean. Have 1.5 yrs to give Overdrive as big push as can and see what happens.

-
. GALE's GVRL nonfiction is pretty great and integrates w google. MS Ts giving it a try.

-
I found it interesting in the article Susie highlighted that the author seems to not be the librarian anymore, it that correct?

-
. Too many distractions! Even I have trouble reading from phone/iPad. Plus đź‘€ skim digital

-
I am basing that on the dates, It made me wonder... I could just be assuming

-
Sorry, , must go. Time for the 3 year old to go to bed.

-
Q3: Final question: Did anything else stand out to you in the article about Cushing Academy? https://t.co/SsLuysKZUX

-
A3 Interesting how Ss & Ts didn't seem to jump right on board w print. Makes me wonder why

-
I only point that out because the article discussed how much trouble he had with some faculty

-
Thanks for participating in . Hope to see all of you at ILF!
