A1: Weekly spirit days! Always bringing in school components into my classroom. Support other grades.
A1: Sharing the cool things we are doing, attempting to model empathy, participating in "dress up days" and SMILES!
You have to have people on board from the start if you want spirit

A1) Try to build community spirit by involving the community in learning. Allow kids to share work & to learn from the community
A1: Comm. & spirit have to begin with students. Give them room to take the reigns and make the community relevant for themselves.

We chose theme TEAM Westridge and are tying everything we (Ts & Ss) do into being a champion. EVERYone got matching shirts.
Treat others like you would like to be treated if it were your first day make friends plan together, be involved in the culture

A2. For grade level in district we created a fb page for ideas (even though it doesn't get used) but distrct has one that is used.
A2: also, our Ss operate an awesome tv studio with a daily live show.

I've seen it but never considered it for this type of thing. I could see the benefits though!

My P's share their schedules. Allows T's to see when they have down time to talk. Saves the walk just to see they're busy.
