Rambunctious sometimes equals chaos. We've really had to work on being productive and focused this year.

My Ss this year are amazing. They weren't in Sept. They are now. It is an amazing journey with them.
I think we'd all agree that T only wish for compliant learners if we're not feeling well.
If you have rituals and routines in place, then a lively group will have fewer issues. Set the tone -- it's tough work!

To me compliant isn't just doing status quo. Compliant is doing what's asked, yet eager, wanting to learn more.

When questioning, I was once told by an admin. to just accept this, it was the way things are. (Basically, sit down and shut up).
I'd rather work 2x as hard managing a growing din of excitement & production than half as hard shaking them out of sit-n-stare mode

Interesting what our connotations are. Compliant to me means meeting, not exceeding standards.
I've found if u set tone & let kids know that you're not feeling well, they continue on & are great!
