A2. Wrap up dissertation by February
Great insight here! Emails or delivering paper observation can have unintended consequences.
I always start with great intention to do the same, but life gets in the way.
Q3: Our second goal is to let the principal know: What makes you get up in the morning. (not your alarm or paycheck)?
A2 my goal this year is to make learning whole. Content is 1 piece of learning puzzle. Whole child comes b4 whole curriculum.
A3. I love my job so it is easy to get up and help others because I know it will help students
A3: What makes me get up in the morning? That "oooh" moment when Ss make a connection!! !

A3 For me it is the chance to work with students and share what I know and how they can apply it to their lives.
A3 Charisma is contagious, so passionate teaching must be at the forefront of every day. Kids will respond & you'll love ur job.
Or getting enough sleep the night before - Then I don't need that device. A3.

Glad someone else is looking out for meany kids....
I read an article a while back that giving student high fives can help lead to student success
Don't forget to call them out either. We need to let them know that we know they'r playing school
A3: Also helps when I can talk smack because the Raiders won ;-)
Do you use ? If not you should try them. Makes this really easy.
send me you meany kids, I love them
A3 How blessed are we to work in a profession where our consumers (kiddos) claim our hearts?!
Where? I'm in my first term of a post MA cert program in Early Childhood Tech
I work with a lot of schools and bring 42 kids to campus every week to work in activities

A3 The chance for another day with my sons and the chance to work with my kiddos!
See the footnote - getting enough sleep :)
I love the things out of Tufts
What gets me up? Some days it's my Ss enthusiasm. Other days, that's what puts me to sleep @ night.
Q4: If you could put any NON Edu goal down what would it be. We get to do this for this years eval.
Likewise, what else have you seen?
I have a kibo and love using it
I think we need to call ourselves out if we notice the game being played. They play it bc it works.
A4 Have everything ready and prepared for our wedding by June
A4: More free time to do more wood working
We're going to have to talk. It's a focus of this cert program.

A4 If I am working with kids & for kids, then everything I do has an educational advantage. All positive interactions add value.
Agreed. But sometimes they play it due to habit. They don't expect us to give them permission not to play.
A4. Would like to get a book deal
A4: Travel more and find new ways to relieve stress
A4: Does a winning fantasy football team count?
ok learn from more people
A4 Relax, travel, have fun. Put the books away.
A4. Do less work at home, work smarter.
A4 b more mindful of moment. I need to stop focusing on what didn't work/worrying @ future & start celebrating the moments:)
Q5: Coming up and back to the EDU stuff.
Q4: In MI 40% of our eval based on growth data. What do you or will you use to show student growth?
Actually this is Q5 https://t.co/op4SJzNCQ2
Q4: In MI 40% of our eval based on growth data. What do you or will you use to show student growth?
A4 for me it is number of people helped
A5 Be using CDTs to show this growth with my students
CDT's? Please expand. Thanks
A5: First, that bites, . Second, I use multiple measures and notes, because some growth is not quantifiable.
A5: Projects created by students from beginning of unit to end of unit to show their growth in making skills
This is because our legislators are EDU experts and know best. :-|
What all my students aren't the same?
A3 I was in a bit of a rut this past week, didn't teach well at all. But I'm stoked to go to school tomorrow. That's all kiddos!
Classroom Diagnostic Tool = showing growth in diff areas of math
Hmm Either that or they outsource this.
Q6: What can you do tomorrow to make it a better day for 1 or more of your students?
A6: I love the idea of committing to making positive calls home. Esp. for students who need encouragement.
They think of each student of a little piece of perfect steel that are all equal.
A6: Take some time to talk about their weekend and anything fun that they did
Just a reminder all of my opinions express here are mine and not that of my school or district.
Just a reminder all of my opinions express here are mine and not that of my school or district.
They think Ss are data-in / data-out machines. Love making decisions having never stepped in classroom.
A6 I can call home to parents to let them know something positive that has happened with their child
A5: District uses SLO's to measure growth. I personally would like to count effort students put into accomplishing goals
We are quickly approaching the end of the chat and Jill's topic for next we so Q7 up next.
Another reminder is that all my thoughts should be your thoughts
A6 I strive to make every student feel included & that what they have to offer matters. Giving voice to kids is very powerful.
A5. To listen to the teachers needs and wants
A6: Making connections and taking time to get to know your students
A6: Smile, say his or her name, and ask "you are doing?"
A6: Letting them know positive accomplishments I am proud of & taking time to ask about weekend
A6)Yes to positive phone calls! I would suggest 1/month for all kids. Another positive- New day fresh start. No grudges!
Q7: What is are your takeaways from tonight's chat?
Do this BEFORE you start making those negative calls or as soon as possible after.
As long as my thoughts are your thoughts.
A7: Positivity and relationship always wins.
A7 My takeaway is that to better our evals we want to better our Ss and make them the best learners they can be
A7: Building a positive relationship with students is key and the most important goal is student learning
A7: Focus on your Ss, not your eval. Take care of their needs and stay positive, humble, and kind.
A7: Non Edu goals are also very important in personal growth/development as a teacher
One last question. Q8 What are you going to do for yourself this week.
A8: Continue with finishing my basement
A8: I'm going to walk at least 10,000 steps EVERY day, and get back into weight lifting routine.
A8 I'm going to continue building a positive relationship with my Ss and have them enjoy math everyday
A7: Focus on the students so they can be the best they can be.
A7 Stop and smell the analog roses.

A8 Finish my homework, book ordering, bug about KIBO and, maybe get home projects done
according to my bio, it doesn't work that way
A7 that a ts goals can far surpass evaluation standards. You can't standardize students or teachers.
A8: Focus on building positive relationships with students and taking a little more time to myself
