#ALedchat is a weekly chat on Twitter about education topics. It is held each Monday from 9-10pmCST. While the discussion on #ALedchat continues on Twitter well beyond our weekly one-hour chat session, this platform affords us the opportunity to extend, expand and share the conversation with an even greater audience. Educators from across the state of Alabama, and the world, can come here to find encouragement, support, resources, professional growth opportunities and advice, while providing the same to their colleagues.
I'm Jennifer, Hoover High AP & co-founder of #ALedchat & #USedchat. SOO excited about this topic tonight! What a legacy we leave when we serve as mentors! #ALedchat
Catherine from Fresno CA. Recent grad who applied for a master's to be a college counselor. So excited to learn more about the essence of mentorship. So important! #ALedchat
A1 I picture comfort, self-awareness, lots of smiles. Basically, a relationship were both parties are not afraid to share their experiences, where they are learning from each other. #ALedchat
A1: I see that person that isn’t just a helper for work, but is a trusting person to help you in all aspects of learning how to do life. Right @TinaTwheeler who made a huge impact on my first year teaching experience. #ALedchat
Look-ah-here when do I get my gif training @mzbowlin11#ALedchat glad you’re here. Represent #FCSLearn For a min, I thought the whole @Twitter world was made up of 🦁 ijs
A1 There is a level of support and sharing of ideas and wisdom. But it's not all one way. Good mentoring adds value to both in the relationship. #ALedchat

A1 - effective mentor-mentee relationships is one where you trust each other and your not afraid of failure together! Plus you have real talk and not beat around the bush! #ALedchat
A1 - effective mentor-mentee relationships is one where you trust each other and your not afraid of failure together! Plus you have real talk and not beat around the bush! #ALedchat
#ALedchat Mentor are effective if they are supportive but not over-bearing. They help you reach without taking control. They help you find yours style and voice, not copy theirs!
A1: Failing and succeeding together. With my mentor, coteaching is a huge part of how we BOTH grow and stretch ourselves in an authentic setting- the trenches! #ALedchat
A1. Establish a respectful #relationship based on common mutual short- and long-term expectations connected to an organization’s #values and #vision. #ALedchat
A real mentor is worth their weight in gold. If you find one, hold on tight. I have been blessed to have many but they don’t all look the same but one thing they all have in common, they deal in hard cold #Truth#ALedchat 💎s only shine when cut

Mmmmmm..... Energetic is a word I had not pictured before, but I LOVE it! We are all responsible for the energy we bring to a relationship, and mentoring is no different. Thank you!! #ALedchat
A2 Someone who goes beyond the sitting. It is a mentor who shows a positive encouragement where he/she is comfortable sharing anything that can help others make a change in their lives. Its all the EFFORT! #ALedchat
A2: An effective mentor provides support for the mentee allowing them to expand their wings and fly into their own. Did I mention that constant source of encouragement and support? #ALedchat
A2: an effective mentor is a good listener. They also don’t think their way is the only way. An effective mentor is will to not only teach but learn. #ALedchat#UMedTech#edl577
A2: mentors are effective when they are willing to put into practice the things they are sharing, Modeling alongside you, trying new things with you. @marchantteacher always says, “The day I think I have arrived, kick me out the door!!!!” #ALedchat
A2:An effective mentor listens, empathizes, understands the challenges &obstacles of the mentee & inspires success in spite of the current reality #aledchat
So true. I try to do this with my mentees in our Voxer group. I share experiences, results, ask their opinions, "What would you do?" We are having great conversations! #ALedchat
A2: Mentors who can build trusting relationships, are supportive and have a growth mindset are often most effective. They love it when their mentee becomes a shining star! They are givers and passionate. #aledchat
A2: Communication, preparedness, APPROACHABILITY, availability, honesty, fairness & compassion are the characteristic of an effective mentor. #UMEdTech#ALedchat
A2 how to talk to you in a way to get into your brain! It’s hard to hear things sometimes but a good mentor knows how to put it in a way so you understand. #ALedchat
A2: mentors are effective when they are willing to put into practice the things they are sharing, Modeling alongside you, trying new things with you. @marchantteacher always says, “The day I think I have arrived, kick me out the door!!!!” #ALedchat
A2: An effective mentor is willing to learn as well as teach. Often times the mentee can bring the greatest lessons in growth and building new relationships. #ALedchat
A2: Effective mentors are present, they have the best interest of the mentee at heart and mind, and they are great communicators. They also ask good questions, are good listeners, and they tell the truth in a loving way. #ALedchat
A2: the mentor doesn’t need to be afraid of what needs to be said—easy conversations & difficult conversations. That can actually build backbone with the mentee. #ALedchat
A2 They listen and guide. Offer up a story to share instead of "telling you the best way". They keep the line open so you feel comfortable reaching out. #ALedchat
A2: as a 21 year old first year teacher, I will never forget the first day my mentor (@marchantteacher) shared HER frustrations and struggles with me and asked ME for my thoughts/feedback. I learned a lot in that moment. About leading and teaching and LIFE. #ALedchat
A2: An effective mentor is willing to learn as well as teach. Often times the mentee can bring the greatest lessons in growth and building new relationships. #ALedchat
Challenges is such a great point to bring up. I’ve tried to mentor many (coaching and classroom) and most mentees don’t like to be challenged. To grow, are you willing to be challenged? #ALedchat
A2:An effective mentor listens, empathizes, understands the challenges &obstacles of the mentee & inspires success in spite of the current reality #aledchat
A2: an effective mentor is a good listener. They also don’t think their way is the only way. An effective mentor is will to not only teach but learn. #ALedchat#UMedTech#edl577
Listening and learning, plain and simple. An effective mentor isn’t one who has all the answers, it is someone who is willing to listen, not only to problems but to also learn. I’ve learned so much from my mentees because I’ve been willing to listen, not just preach. #ALedchat
A2: the mentor doesn’t need to be afraid of what needs to be said—easy conversations & difficult conversations. That can actually build backbone with the mentee. #ALedchat
A1) Mentee would how to be willing to put themselves out there in situations that a mentor can help guide them. Otherwise, there would be a whole lot of "what ifs"; Mentor would "give us the chance to try and fail, then give us another chance to try and succeed." #ALedchat
A2. I think a great mentor sees things in others they don't see in themselves. Sometimes the lines between a great leader and mentor blur... think it just depends on timng, relationships and common goals and interests. #Aledchat
A3 Often, the role of the mentee is to listen, reflect, and apply what is shared by the mentor. However, there may be instances where the mentee can contribute to the mentors learning, also #ALedchat
A3: First of all (as the kids say) the mentee can’t be afraid to get hurt feelings. No one likes to be corrected but sometimes it’s necessary—not out of meanness but out of doing right by our Ss. #ALedchat
A3 I think a good mentee listens to their mentor and even challenges them to try new things outside of THEIR comfort zone. “Old dogs can learn new tricks!” #ALedchat
A3: The mentee’s role is to soak up the expertise of the mentor, question ideas and suggestions, offer his/her ideas, try new things/ideas and continue to grow. They should have a trusting relationship that allows them to provide suggestions to the mentor as well. #aledchat
A3: Being willing to listen, being honest, being willing to try and fail and try again. Being patient with the process of learning how to teach and manage life. #aledchat
Listening and learning, plain and simple. An effective mentor isn’t one who has all the answers, it is someone who is willing to listen, not only to problems but to also learn. I’ve learned so much from my mentees because I’ve been willing to listen, not just preach. #ALedchat
A3 Mentee must take the advice and put the effort to start improving. Also, never forgetting where everything started. Always staying connected to that mentor even though we have it all figured out. NEVER FORGET WHERE YOU COME FROM & STARTED. #ALedchat
For me, trust that I can have an honest, open conversation--I don't want to have a conversation that is sugar coated or "what I want to hear". I want the truth so I can grow. #ALedchat
A3) This is hard to do but they must be open and talk about failure. Be vulnerable. I consider askkng for help is a sign of strength and mentee has to believe that in order to grow. #ALedchathttps://t.co/tSOXCk7uH7
A3. The mentee should be willing to listen to the experience being offered but as someone who mentors pre-service Ts, I like when they challenge my thinking, just because I do something a way doesn’t mean I can’t change/learn as well. #ALedchat
A3: An effective mentee must be willing to listen and consider trying th8ngs that might be out of their comfort zone. They should also be willing to share their experiences. #ALedchat#UMedTech#EDL577UM
A3. To be willing to listen and learn from the experiences of your mentor. Asking for help when needed, and not assuming the mentor knows what you need! #ALedchat
A3: The mentee’s role is to soak up the expertise of the mentor, question ideas and suggestions, offer his/her ideas, try new things/ideas and continue to grow. They should have a trusting relationship that allows them to provide suggestions to the mentor as well. #aledchat
A3: the mentee should have an open mind. I tell my Ss when I want their attention to give me 5–2 open ears, 2 open eyes, 1 closed mouth. Same when mentoring. #ALedchat
Q2) G. Couros said "Many leaders are scared about developing people and then having them leave. They should be more worried about not developing people and having them stay." Mentors are most effective in cultivating a person to be a leader and watching them grow. #ALedchat
A3 The mentee is the apprentice to the journeyman. Not the charity case you help to feel better about yourself. It is a commitment you make to the mentee to teach them how to achieve their best possible self-hard work included. #ALedchat
Model it. Mentor has to talk about their own strengths and weakness. Open the convo up by mentor showing empathy and talking about times mentor's lessons did not work, etc. #ALedchat
A3: A mentee must have an open mind and a coachable attitude. He must be willing to take criticism and able to honestly admit his weaknesses so that the mentor may provide the proper resources and support to help. #aledchat

A4. We can all learn from someone. Anything we go through...there’s been someone who has been there, done that. We can tap into each other’s expertise. #ALedchat
This is such a powerful quote from @gcouros, one that aspiring leaders & new principals should print out and stick on their computer monitor so they see it everyday. #ALedchat
Q2) G. Couros said "Many leaders are scared about developing people and then having them leave. They should be more worried about not developing people and having them stay." Mentors are most effective in cultivating a person to be a leader and watching them grow. #ALedchat
A3: 10 years ago, I was a mentee for the first time. Deb Hamrick let me make the important mistakes that would impact me in the most positive of ways. #ALedchat
A4. Educators should be life long learners, never assuming they have all the answers and always willing to learn from the experiences of others. #aledchat
A4 Mentorship allows a place of uplifting. It is something we all should have in our lives. It helps us stay motivated to not let that great attitude of ours. Most importantly, it helps us learn about the true power of RELATIONSHIPS. #ALedchat
A4: Mentorships are important because everyone can grow and learn. We do not live in a cookie cutter society. Change is the only constant. Mentor partnerships give you a partner/confidante in this crazy would of education we all love. #aledchat
#GreatLeaders know that if they did it once, they can do it again. If you can coach, you can coach. Great mentors have that confidence that they can draw out of you the greatness that they see. #ALedchat
Q2) G. Couros said "Many leaders are scared about developing people and then having them leave. They should be more worried about not developing people and having them stay." Mentors are most effective in cultivating a person to be a leader and watching them grow. #ALedchat
A4: A wise person once said, the smartest person in the room is the room. We should be fortunate to learn from and work others at any chance we can get, no matter our experience. #aledchat

A4 collaboration, trust and openness is an integral part of teaching. Having a springboard to discuss success, struggle, growth, accountability helps not only Ts but the Ss we serve as well. They get the benefit of more than 1 T being invested in them #ALedchat
A4. We need adult contact and conversation. There is someone to turn to to bounce ideas off of, observe new/different techniques, someone to offer levity at times. #ALedchat
A4 - because there will always be new educators that need seasoned educators to help show the way and there will always be new technology that new educators will need to help older educators learn how to use!#ALedchat
A4: There is just so much to be learned by anyone who has “been there done that.” I have some of the best mentors that if they don’t know the answers we find them together. #collaboration#learningtogether#ALedchat
A4 Mentorship allows a place of uplifting. It is something we all should have in our lives. It helps us stay motivated to not let that great attitude of ours. Most importantly, it helps us learn about the true power of RELATIONSHIPS. #ALedchat
Q4: I have an awesome mentor who lets me take chances to explore whatever I am interested in. Mentees have to be willing to put themselves out there in situations that just feel awkward. Growth won't happen if you are comfortable. #aledchat
A3 If you have someone willing to take you under their wing & mentor you, be ready to ask GREAT questions & be ready to listen, & watch. Value what you've taken in by trying on your own. Then be ready for feedback that is truthful. The things that go wrong teach the most #aledchat
A4) Even in my 36th year as an educator and 21st as a principal, I have mentors who help me with my vulnerabilies and reinforce my virtuosities. There is still so much to learn from others. #ALedchat
A4:many times educators lose sight of the realities our students face. We focus on the lessons we plan, the standards we teach, the test scores, what does the data say, etc. we forget...1/2 #ALedchat
A4 Mentorship is important in our profession because we are practitioners. Practitioners have a responsibility to engage with colleagues who are experienced in their position, so that they can learn and use the lessons to sharpen their craft. #ALedchat
A4 Responsibility may be a pyramid but knowledge is flat. Respect the power and horizontal nature of knowledge. Embrace the responsibility of leadership. #ALedchat

A4: Mentorships are essential for educators because it allows them to continue to grow, learn and develop their craft! Lifelong learners #EDL577Um#UMedTech#ALedchat
I find that intentional mentors in education are usually used in the first 1 to few years. After that, I don't think many teachers/educators have mentors. Agree? #ALedchat
Q4: The ability to motivate each other. Sharing your passion with someone is always great. You can laugh and/or commiserate together. Education and or any profession gets lonely. It's so much better to share your ups and downs with someone. Also helps your sanity. #aledchat
A4: For me mentorship is as much of a learning experience as it is a “helping” experience. Mentorship has helped me to be more reflective and has helped me to become a better teacher because I’ve been willing to listen to new and innovative ideas from my mentees. #ALedchat
A4:Mentorship is important regardless of position/experience because skill development is an ongoing process. We can all use someone to coach us through. Also, sometimes you just need to vent to a person who will validate your feelings but not let you have a pity party. #ALedchat
A4) It is really hard to teach...especially if you are all alone. Cannot do this by yourself. We need to inspire and help others. #ALedchathttps://t.co/EZ2L36Nx8U
A4. Mentorship is important to all educators because it is teaching and learning at it's best! Our mentors guide our learning and as mentees we push our teachers... In the end the teach each other! #aledchat
A4 we forget the reality students https://t.co/M8U4QTppM7 may be the only hot meal The poverty they live in is completely foreign to us. The challenges they overcome just to make it to school daily. We need to mentor to stay in touch with the community we are building #ALedchat
A4: As educators, we must be committed to being lifelong learners. Having a mentor gives educators a means of learning and growing continuously. #aledchat
A4:Mentorship is important regardless of position/experience because skill development is an ongoing process. We can all use someone to coach us through. Also, sometimes you just need to vent to a person who will validate your feelings but not let you have a pity party. #ALedchat
Q4 Without this relationship, we risk becoming isolated and stagnate. It is important we model these relationships for our students too-collaboration, problem solving, supporting each other. #ALedchat
A5 Have mentored others on not giving up no matter what happens, to keep that passion ALIVE. I encourage ppl to get surrounded with others who care and willing to learn and get back up together. #ALedchat

A4 I believe we must always be growing/learning--after all, we are in education ;) Best way to grow/learn is to find someone who pushes you, listens to you, encourages you to be the best! ALL of us need this! #ALedchat
A5: I have mentored first year teachers, and even other assistant principals. I am open to ANY and ALL mentors that want to share “tricks of the trade” with me. #ALedchat
Thankfully, through social media and technology, I have mentors all around Minnesota, the United States and the world. Couldn't do this work without mentors. #ALedchat
I find that intentional mentors in education are usually used in the first 1 to few years. After that, I don't think many teachers/educators have mentors. Agree? #ALedchat
A5: This is interesting because many peeps have mentored me on a variety of things without ever even knowing their impact. I’m sure those roles were reversed here and there too. #ALedchat
A5: I have a mentor helping with adjusting to a new role in a much larger, different organization. It’s helped me get used to the changes and gives me someone to ask the silly questions. 😎 #aledchat
A5: As an Instructional Partner I feel that my role is a mix of mentor and mentee. I’m always listening, learning, asking questions and sharing ideas. @alysoncarp1 and @Question2Think are great mentors to me. #aledchat
I have mentored other teachers many times. I’m currently being mentored by administrators who I respect and hope to be able to learn from for years to come. I hope 9ne day to be able to mentor teachers and administrators. #ALedchat#UMedTech#EDL577UM
I would always be willing to be mentored by more people. There are so many people with so many different experiences that I could l arm from. I see the members of the weekly #ALedChat as great mentors. You just have to be open to being mentored.
Could this maybe be because initial mentors are typically arranged FOR the new teacher? So not most authentic mentor/mentee relationship? ... Resulting in them not fully understanding how powerful it can be? #aledchat
A5:I really enjoyed having student teacher in my classroom. I think I learned as much from them! Surprising skills come up like how to navigate the lunchroom, read between the lines at meetings, stay positive #ALedchat
A5 - I have mentored teachers in special education from my past experience along with mentoring students to become better young adults! I need/have a mentor on better ways to become a better all around Administrator/educator #ALedchat

This is so true! @branowar mentored me today in what engagement and collaboration looks like in a classroom of learning just today! I will be sharing in some conversations with others soon. #ALedchat
A5: This is interesting because many peeps have mentored me on a variety of things without ever even knowing their impact. I’m sure those roles were reversed here and there too. #ALedchat
A5 Technology is where I’ve mentored esp on @Seesaw I get so excited when they come out with something new, I can’t help but share. I’d like to learn more about how to improve standards based report cards. #ALedchat
A4 collaboration, trust and openness is an integral part of teaching. Having a springboard to discuss success, struggle, growth, accountability helps not only Ts but the Ss we serve as well. They get the benefit of more than 1 T being invested in them #ALedchat
Yes! Rainbows can still come on a sunny day. You dont need rain all the time. The most beautiful moments in life is learning through the unexpected. #ALedchat
A5: I’ve mentored others in authentic relationship building as a foundation of excellent educational instruction that is just as important as academic rigor. #ALedchat
A5. Good administrators are constantly coaching/mentoring , whether it be instructional coaching, discussing data, or encouraging reflection.
I would love to hear how others here get involved outside their school or district to benefit students. #ALedchat
A5: I have a year 2 teacher who collaborates with me and I help guide her planning. I have a great mentor who helps me with the PLC process. Would love to learn more about being a better "Instructional coach"- I know that's huge with how to communicate with people. #ALedchat
I have served as a mentor to new English teachers for the past few years, formally and informally. I also mentor National Board candidates. Personally I would love more Ed Leadership mentoring as I seek an administrator positon. #ALedChat
A5: mentored ts on issues in special education, mentored students with disabilities to advocate for themselves- need mentoring on so many things! I am in the business of learning how do I limit what I need to learn about? #ALedchat

Yes. Agree. Not officially. However everyone can still be "unofficial"'mentors/guides/leaders to others. Do not need a title to lead and help others grow. #ALedchat
A5: I've mentored at-risk teens. Much focus is typically placed on at-risk boys, I have a #teachergoal of starting a program locally to focus on young girls. 7-9th grade. Who need someone in their life to listen to & guide them to make healthy choices #ALedchat
A5: I have mentored first year teachers and even veteran teachers as it to classroom management strategies. I would love to be mentored on organizational skills and anything that will help me continue to grow professionally! #EDL577UM#UMedTech#ALedchat
A5 I have mentored numerous biology teachers. I think the biggest challenge that I have faced is to help mentees think outside of the stereotypical box. The proverbial box being "content". #ALedchat
A6: Student mentors! Get students involved in leadership. @AnnaUpah helped get Maker Mentors started who knew the ins and outs of the makerspace and mentored the younger students. #aledchat
A6: Be intentional in providing opportunities for faculty/staff to learn from one another. Mentorships will often naturally develop from this. #ALedchat
A6: We can build mentor programs by recognizing great teachers and faculty members and allowing them the chance to share their knowledges and experiences. Make the mentor program a life long relationship. #ALedchat#UMedTech#EDL577UM
A6: @awtedford and @DawsMonica have created a space for teachers new to the system to learn necessary elements they need to know. They meet regularly. One is called “Let’s Chat” and is very informal and a safe environment for Ts to ask Qs and open up. #aledchat
A6 - big brother big sister programs that have high school students going to the elementary schools to mentor students there that need a positive interaction with others! This would also work with pairing new Ts with veteran Ts to become accountability partners #ALedchat

A6. Would really like to find how other very large high schools structure mentor/mentee programs for their freshman. We work on it every year & have one in place but it needs to be strengthened. #aledchat
I think that training mentors is one of the most effective ways of building mentorship programs. Many mentors feel ineffective because they don’t know if what they are doing is correct or feel they don’t have the training to mentor. #ALedchat
A5 I feel if we are willing, we find mentors for what we need at the time along our path. I’ve had many. I love I get to sometimes be the “seasoned one” embracing the unknown. Taking risks #ALedchat
A6: we have to make it clear that it is a two way gain & stress that asking for help, failing, asking questions, and trying new things show strength, not weakness! #ALedchat
A6: (1/2) I think the platform for people to volunteer really needs to be out there. I know a lot of veteran teachers who would absolutely love to be mentors. I want to push the concept of teacher leadership out there! There are so many teachers that you can tap.. #ALedchat
A6. We have a freshmen mentor program (S-S), SAIG groups (t-s), other t-s mentoring, T-new T mentor program. We need to include a P-T-S program to round it out. #ALedchat
A5: through partnership with @UABDeptofCI we have unique opportunity to be mentors for all pre-service T’s each semester in area of STEAM integration! We learn together! From UAB profs to classroom T’s to pre-service T’s...constantly reflecting...growing...together! #aledchat
A6. Would really like to find how other very large high schools structure mentor/mentee programs for their freshman. We work on it every year & have one in place but it needs to be strengthened. #aledchat
@jodiepierpoint@Jennifer_Hogan Thank you for a great chat! You did awesome Jodie! I'm a lightweight and need to get some zzzz's. I'll catch up tomorrow. #ALedchat
A6, I feel that mentoring should be rooted in the culture/mission of the school... we are in this together and we will succeed together #ALedchat#nomanleftbehind
A6: (2/2) #ALedchat There are so many teachers who would love to lend a hand but we often overlook. Admin can tap into the pool of teacher leaders. They should take advantage of that resource. All they have to do is ask. :)
A6 I want to start a mentor program for teen girls.Boost self-esteem, keep them focused in school, help prevent early parenthood- to do my part above and beyond the classroom. We teach children-We build communities. #ALedchat

FA: Thank you @jodiepierpoint and @Jennifer_Hogan !!!! I get a chance to follow both you great leaders and I feel "mentored" every day. You both are inspirational. Hope to pay it forward like you both do!! Hi, @TBonhotel and @HillMrispo !!!!!! #ALedchat
FA - the mentor-mentee relationship needs to be a positive one that is built on trust and is a give and take from both parties! If you don’t have a mentor go find one they are valuable for personal growth and for accountability! #ALedchat
AFinal: Creating a mentoring culture in a school is the first step for success of teachers and students. Also, making the mentor relationship a lasting one. #ALedchat#UMedTech#EDL577UM
FA: everyone has something to offer and everyone has more to learn! Be willing to share, listen, reflect, stretch yourself and try new things! #aledchat
FA: I would like to be more intentional about mentoring anyone new to our system regardless of years teaching. I also can’t forget about student mentors/mentees! #aledchat
FA: The biggest take away is that mentorship isn’t always what you say to a person, but more of what you show a person through your practice. I want to mentor more though my actions in practice by keeping the mouth closed more. #ALedchat
FA: Mentoring is a commitment, a 2-way street and a learning opportunity for all involved. As a mentor I will continue to put in as much effort as I can to help others and to learn from those I’m mentoring. I will also work to help convince others to become mentors. #Aledchat
I could tweet on mentoring all https://t.co/mkMhPXOhY6 educators we see a breakdown of family structures that were norm when we grew up.That is a reality we can't, in good faith, ignore. We can be proactive to bridge some of the gaps or we can bury our head in the sand. #ALedchat
FA - the mentor-mentee relationship needs to be a positive one that is built on trust and is a give and take from both parties! If you don’t have a mentor go find one they are valuable for personal growth and for accountability! #ALedchat
FA: We are all mentors & mentees, whether we are aware of it or not. Therefore, it’s important to always, “practice what you teach”. Additionally mentor/mentees should have an open heart & mind, positive attitude, and display an eager/willingness to learn. #UMEdTech#ALedchat
FA- My takeaway is that mentoring is important and necessary on all levels in a school community. It should be a priority and woven into the culture of the school. As school leaders we need to factor in how to strengthen existing programs. #ALedchat
FA: Mentorships are good for everyone regardless of their expertise and experience. I want mentor colleagues on how to build PLN so they no longer miss out on these chat sessions! 💪🏾#EDL577Um#UMedTech#ALedchat
FA: To actively seek someone that needs help, and to OFFER it instead of waiting to be asked. Then, go to those who have mentored me and thank them for being willing to walk with me on my journey. #ALedchat
Have my students eaten today? What time did they go to bed last night? Do they know why I do what I do? I cannot read their minds, but their body language speaks volumes. Am I listening? Mentees must learn to speak the language of their Ss. #ALedchat
It’s been a great chat tonight. Thank you for allowing me to chat! Hope everyone has a great week! Share your expertise with someone this week. #ALedchat#UMedTech#EDL577UM
