Hi! Laura, an elem reading specialist & member of #bookexcursion who literally just finished an ARC of @_CoryLeonardo’s extraordinary debut novel THE SIMPLE ART OF FLYING! #Read4Fun
Hi from Jill in snowy and cold Fredericton, NB. I’m a Gr 6-12 Literacy Coordinator. I just finished listening to Resistance by @nielsenwriter. #read4fun
Hey guys! Stella from KY here. Instructional Technology Coordinator. I'm currently reading It's Not Supposed to be This Way by Lysa Terkeurst. #Read4Fun
The setting of The Great Alone intrigued me. Alaska's cold climate is so harsh yet it sounds beautiful. I hate cold weather so I'll probably never visit, but I almost wanted to plan a trip there. #Read4Fun
A1) One of my favorite books is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and there are several memorable scenes set in winter (catching a Christmas tree, clothes being frozen on the clothesline, etc.). Also love The Snowy Day as a kid & adult. #read4fun
I have to find my copy of that one. I was just talking about it with someone who read it recently and I really want to get around to reading it. #Read4Fun
Q1: because I loved Hatchet growing up, Brian's Winter by Gary Paulsen comes to mind! I love my #picturebooks though- Tacky the Penguin, The Snowy Day, Snowmen at Night 💙 #Read4Fun
I loved it! Now I get to enjoy it every year in our curriculum- we read it during our fiction writing unit and I LOVE sharing it with my kids! #Read4Fun
A2 I definitely read more on a snow day but I am able to read much more in the summer than during school months. I am making much more progress this school year though than in past years! #Read4Fun
I feel the same way - I don't know what's taking me so long. I know it's packed up in a box somewhere. Checking out another copy from the library might be easier than finding it. #Read4Fun
A2: I #read everyday in the summer. I love to read on the deck with our dog. In the winter, I'm busier with school & church commitments and reading is more of a weekend pleasure. I pick up books from our local library each Friday night!

A2 Colder weather definitely leads to more inside time for reading, but I still try to listen to audiobooks while walking outside a few times a week. #read4fun
I tend to read more mystery, suspense, psychological thrillers in winter. Maybe because there is more darkness, dark & creepy books seem appropriate. Just read As Long As We Both Shall Live, a twisty page-turner. Really good. #read4fun
We read for the 1st 15 minutes of every class. Since I have 3 classes, I get a good 45 minutes in each day at school, then an hour or so at night. Been binging Alan Gratz: Grenade, Refugee, both great books! My 6th boys and girls loved them as well. #Read4Fun
I love sitting on my porch swing and enjoying a book in the summer. My girl enjoys playing outside. So we spend the days playing, exploring and reading. #read4fun
I agree, and I was falling asleep in bed reading, so I switched to listening to audiobooks in the car...I never thought I'd enjoy it but I do! #Read4Fun
I can only listen to audiobooks if I am following along to a text version. Thus, on my kindle app, I buy the kindle version and add the audio. #read4fun@Dr_LMR
A3
When snowed in, I look at it as found time to just read. Usually grab a few books to start. Or I buy a few magazines to get me through the storm. #Read4Fun
To prepare for an upcoming snow day of reading, I make sure I have at least a couple of good books to read. If it's a blizzard I make sure my kindle is fully charged and I have a book light handy. #Read4Fun
I love summer reading! It's definitely busier in winter, but I try to at least open a book before I fall asleep. Sometimes I can barely read a page, but it's something. #Read4Fun
A2: My reading habits are definitely affected by the rhythm of the school year, but not necessarily by winter. Report card season, beginning/end of the year, busy times during my own professional coursework & family events all limit reading during the year. #read4fun
Went to the bookstore yesterday and it was mobbed! They called in extra workers so I guess many ‘stock up’ on books in addition to milk and bread! #Read4Fun
A3 A trip to the library is a must. I really prefer books in my hand but do read on the iPad sometimes. I usually have an adult book and a middle grade book going! #Read4Fun
Somehow I tend to keep reading the same types of book. So I joined a book club in town which has forced me to read books I wouldn't normally choose. Because of it, I've read some great ones, and some I didn't enjoy, but I've broadened my horizons for sure. #read4fun
Reading during the school year definitely is trickier. I try to get to bed a little earlier and silence my phone so I can devote time to read nightly without distractions. #read4fun
A3: So many #books, so little time! My TBR pile is always massive. I don't have to plan for a snow day...my stacks are always here waiting for me!
#Read4Fun
A3 I get ready for snowstorm reading by stocking up on books and snacks, charging my devices, and putting batteries in my book light in case the power goes out. #read4fun
I spent the morning under a cozy blanket, sipping hot tea, and finishing The Prophet Calls by @melaniesumrow. I devoured it in a day and a half. Best way to #Read4Fun!
