In all honesty, I've been more underwater than every before just by the demands put on me including #edtech, webmaster, technology help and teaching orientation & research. BUT, it may be the best bunch of high schoolers I've ever had.

My entire district was given a copy of "Questioning Sequences in the Classroom" by Marzano and Simms. I'm not a Marzano fan, but I'm going to make my way through the book this week. Will keep you posted. Anyone read it? #sunchat

I’ve done a padlet with a school in France - we exchanged images and songs about the “American Dream” . It was great sharing class videos and using google earth. #sunchat
Mixed as well. That kind of performance isn’t for everyone, but for some classes it works. Biggest takeaway was adding some easy elements to my class such as adding music, changing lighting, or getting kids out of the space. Nothin revolutionary, but good to remember #sunchat
We also used @Pixton to collaboratively make original comics based on modern civil rights issues after reading the amazing March trilogy together with a school in Norway. #Sunchat

Had my first hands-on experience this summer with Google Hangouts/Meet, which has me thinking about ways to bring outside voices into classroom when it's harder for students & I to make leaving logistics workable. #sunchat

Yes! We need to share what we are reading with students as well. And ask them what they are reading. I talk about books all the time. We are ALL teachers of reading! I make new book displays for each unit. #Sunchat
