Dec 14 @ 12:16 PM EST
A) That is a tough one - don't know if I see anything ground breaking -- hopefully some more emphasis on quality and engagement..

Sharing your thoughts about nothing groundbreaking ... some fine tuning perhaps. Any particular ideas about engagement?

A) More interaction perhaps - synchronous class activities/requirements on the rise for real-time connection, collaboration.

Used to be a big fan of the modular format with a read, do/apply, and then take the quiz and move to the next..now not so much

Very hard with the busy-ness of schedules. Finding a way to better strike a happy medium between school-work would be nice

"Everything" used to fall in that pattern didn't it? Or at least it seems like it.

Yes..these are great ideas! Just hard to increase workload when many are trying to do both work and school

Maybe a little more problem-based type work where you try to integrate it into real-world scenarios..

Agreed - we may be hitting a line where "better" will mean "less flexibility," at least in some contexts.

It's important that we move in this direction I think! More case studies, problem-solving, scenarios, etc.

I agree..this is a fine line!! Students are customers. Quandry is how achieve learning outcomes w/out overtaxing students?

Dec 14 @ 12:27 PM EST
Maybe a little reassessment of where education is going in general - learning outcomes - move more towards "on the job"

A trend I would like to see if more holistic approach to design -- everything is accessible in one place - text/content/discussion

Dec 14 @ 12:30 PM EST
I think we are going to have to design for students when they have 10 - 15 minutes -- microvideos/presentation...not 2 - 3 hours

I think several LMSs are working toward this, but there are still gaps. This would be helpful to achieve for Ss and Ts!

Yes..Can sometimes get lot accomplished in a 1/2 hr if everything is together .. harder and harder to have big blocks of time

Time spent is huge factor - if we can cut down what it takes to log in, search, download, etc. the better
