I love that you can create flyers in canva that have links! My teachers and coaches use this alot on their websites for resources for students #rcstechchat
I like when my laptop/tablet connects to the projector so my students can pass it around within the room and not have to get up & go to the desktop! We like n2y (unique) and lots of abcYa games #rcstechchat
A1- Lately I have seen some pretty great things with Flip Grid! Students who were reluctant to speak in class made a video and those who LOATHE writing explanations for their math reasoning were happy to make “scripts” for their videos! #RCSTechChat

That is great! BHS also just got a projector and we added an apple tv to it so that the teachers could download apps for units like yoga and others to use with it! #rcstechchat

A2: The one tool this year that I have been bad about using is Flipgrid. I am wanting to use it more in the following month. I hope to use it with some of out math classes! #rcstechchat
A2 I wonder if there’s a way I could do kahoot or quizlet or something with my students! Some of them have and can navigate their own devices I’ve always been too hesitant to try! And now I’m trying to get the scoop on canva! #rcstechchat

A3: I feel that the use of quizlet, playposit, flipgrid and more have given students access to learning inside and outside the classroom. Allows for more collaboration and questioning by the students. #rcstechchat
A3- any technology seems to grab my kids’ attention more and help them focus longer since they’re all SO obsessed with phones/tablets/computers anyway. It relates to their interests!! #rcstechchat

A3 Using Flip Grid my Ss actually asked if we could do that again bc it was “cool” & “fun”! I loved seeing all the different strategies w/out Ss changing answers when they see what someone else did. They’re too busy working on their own stuff! #RCSTechChat

A3 Also we just used Garage Band drum kit to hear what “fractions sound like” and they LOVED it! Two of my boys were super stoked to find out they already had this app on their iPhones! #RCSTechChat
A4 I see aspects of their personality and learning styles I might not have seen in large group. Also I can go back and watch the videos to analyze their understanding of a concept and make adjustments to my instruction. #RCSTechChat
A4- I believe it shows "us" as educators connecting to our students and showing interest in what they may enjoy. We are actively changing our educational approach to adapt the daily changes in technology. #rcstechchat
A5: Tech Tools have influenced by allowing more time w/small group & 1on1 activities, allows me to design lesson that are text rich and rigorous, it also also me to give students more opportunities to create using tools to demonstrates #rcstechchat
A5: When I started utilizing these tools in my class, I transitioned into a more active, station-based classroom and it had a HUGE impact on my teaching!

A5 Forced me to "get over" my hesitation and "fear" of tech bc I see how much more the students are engaged when we use it. Makes me want to incorporate even more! Allows time to review and analyze answers that I may have "forgtten" in class. #RCSTechChat

Glad you mentioned the "hesitation & fear" of using tech. I just had to jump right in and figure it out - the cool thing was my students supported my being vulnerable! #rcstechchat
