Civic Responsibility is defined as the "responsibility of a citizen" (https://t.co/lGyA5ydLAe). It is comprised of actions and attitudes associated with democratic governance and social participation. #wearewayne
We'll kick off with housekeeping reminders: make sure to use #wearewayne in your responses and start your responses with A (for answer) such as A1. #wearewayne

A1: My favorite example of Civic Duties in the classroom are voter registration drives....Wayne took part in a statewide drive this fall that registered 2700 students around Indiana and over 77000 people total in the state. #voting#wearewayne
A1: In our #wearewayne schools there are many ways students can engage in both mock and real life civic opportunities. Examples at #BDU include STUDENT COUNCIL, CLUBS, and NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS like @inbpa Students also work with state, city & township officials every year.
Student councils are such a great way to get students involved in everything from voting, to community to service, to development of interpersonal communication skills #wearewayne
The family pumpkins must be keeping everyone busy tonight! #wearewayne, have a great evening! Don't forget next Tuesday's Wayne Learns for staff and our weekly 8pm Twitter chat. Good night everyone!
Ben Davis Model UN was lucky enough to have @eddelaney86 speak at our conference last year and share his experience working with the United Nations in Kosovo. #WeAreWayne

A1: Students can be seen as citizens of their classroom. I think classroom jobs help students understand what it means to contribute as a citizen. #WeAreWayne
Classroom jobs are an outstanding example of being good classroom citizens. It helps to create an environment where all feel responsible for outcomes and take pride in the classroom itself. #WeAreWayne
A2: As the media specialist and news team leader, I foster the habit of having students tell the story of our school...of their journey...of issues facing us and our world. They listen to the voices. Capture the daily milestones. Then, share it with the world. #wearewayne
