TNedchat is a way for educators in Tennessee to share thoughts, resources, and information. The weekly chat is moderated by Jessica Warner (@jessawarner) and Samantha Bates (@sjsbates).
A1: This just hit me today...I am writing a book series for elementary students about 9 elements of digital citizenship and a coworker is illustrating it. I wish the school would fund it for me. Going to self-publish on Amazon to learn how to help others do that too. #tnedchat

A1: More counseling resources for kids with ACEs. We have so many that need more than the school counselor can provide but insurance and transportation make outside agencies difficult. #tnedchat
A1: More props for my room like a pink accordion, tap shoes, and a new stinkin chair. I keep falling off of mine. I want every teacher to love their job and their students as much as I truly love mine. #tnedchat
A2: Always sad when some of our friends act out/misbehave right before the holidays because school is their safe space. I wish the kids could have a happy, safe, drama-free holiday.

A2: My students- devices that work well for everyone- I want an Oprah moment under their chair! My school- bring in someone that can explain the future of education and start catalyst discussions for us to think forward #tnedchat
The magical gift of more time! I would like to give my Ss and school this magical gift so we can move the needle, make growth, challenge our students more with real world complex problems and help them develop critical answers to these issues #TnEdChat

I love the idea about becoming independent learners. We can really challenge our students when they have appropriate materials. Of course we can still challenge them without these materials but it makes things a lot more fun! #TnEdChat

A2b: the ability to make sure that every student has an adult they feel connected to at our school. To nurture the student to growth through those relationships. #tnedchat

A2: I want to help create an AWESOMELY fun PINK DAY assembly. ALso more of my singing of 5 Golden Rings, just the 5 golden rings part... because let's be honest.... that's the only important part... #tnedchat
A4: Oculus Go. Budget to support inspired teachers in their innovations. For all the teachers to feel confident with @CanvasLMS and allow us to move from implementation to creativity within the platform #tnedchat
#TnEdChat 📚 lots of 📚! This year I have been making it a priority to help other teachers in my bubuilding adjust o the demands of the profession. I have been gifting 📚 out of my personal library and need to replenish my supply! It is our duty to serve and help!
A4: I really want bunsen burners so I can do flame tests. That is completely random, but that's waht I want! Also some PD books. #BeReal, #LearnLap are my top 2 right now. #tnedchat
A4: Loved 'Best Christmas Pageant Ever'. Still remember my 5th grade teacher reading it to me. I was lucky to meet the author years ago at a Reading Conference.

So which ones do you watch every year?
We go with: Elf, Christmas Vacation, It's a Wonderful Life, The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Home Alone and we squeeze in some Star Wars. #TnEdChat
Well we watch them every Christmas... doesn't that count? My Mom watches the same Hallmark Christmas movie...different people but the same movie. #TnEdCHat
Thank you! That's the best my family and friends will get this year- I didn't send cards out..maybe they can follow the hashtag #tnedchat for their season's greetings!
