A1 I have really enjoyed using Padlet with my S's to get things marinating and popping on a topic. S's also enjoy and have embraced it as a 21st Century tool for learning. #LATICchat

A1 got to be the Webcam. Allows all students regardless of writing ability to relate their experiences to a wide audience. Also encourages Ss to improve their communication skills. Differs from reports by the possibility to increase the audience size.

A2) I used to teach coding and I can tell you that you can challenge students to such levels of higher-order thinking ... I used to facilitate by just saying "and what if you ..." "and how might you ..." and they were off and running. #HourofCode? No ... Code All Day! #LATICchat

A6 My Ss are constantly using one another as experts to use technology and love showing others what information they find or what they've created! It can create so many opportunities for conversation starters #LATICchat
A6 It’s all about the right time and the right place. There are times where face to face collaboration in the classroom makes more sense and other times it’s important to connect with and change the world #LATICchat
"rewind" is so important. I have some Ss that can't read and so I audio record their assessments with QR codes; they can listen to me read the questions/directions a million times without me losing my voice! #LATICchat
A6: I love seeing teachers offer students the opportunity to collaborate by providing thoughtful digital feedback and comments to each other. Gives everyone a voice and a chance to "revise" and say it just as they like, when they are ready. #collaboratility#LATICchat
A6) Use techn to co-author, peer edit, comment on one another's work ... but to just have Ss sitting at computers engaged in online learning cheats kids out of the amazing experience of engaging with one another!

I'm not sure which Q this would go with ... but I love spreadsheets ... getting Ss to create "what if" formulas so they can plug in numbers and see the consequences is powerful! #LATICchat
A6 I think techno immigrants view it as isolating where our S's as techno natives communicate and collaborate differently than we do. Just a difference in POV. #LATICchat
A6b S's share, comment, talk, chat , post and collaborate on almost every aspect of daily lives and school. I wonder what thoughts are actually still isolated and private. #LATICchat
A6 I've seen students seek out collaboration more than ever. They seek out tech problems, they collaborate over @msonenote and they teach each other new tech.

A7 @plickers and @GetKahoot ! They're both fun and engaging for Ss, while giving me a quick snapshat of where we are and where instruction needs to go from then on out--who do I need to pull for a SGML, who needs to be challenged etc. #LATICchat
A8 Since we aren't 1:1, Ss have to plan out using technology or an alternate plan if it isn't available when they planned to need it. Problem-solving when technology doesn't work according to plan! Reasoning as they explain their learning in their Seesaw posts #LATICchat

I think that’s good. I also could see different types of devices available like iPad, iPad Pro, MacBook and iPod touch so Ss all have access, but just with what they need for exactly what they are doing #LATICchat
In an ideal classroom, yes ;) Though we do have a few desktops/laptops and an old iPad with no functioning camera...forces Ss to think about their technology choice depending on the need for the assignment. #LATICchat
A8 NMS T's were discussing how paper planners are no longer realistic and actually are not as effective at teaching our S's invaluable Exec Function skills as the different tech savvy options available to us now. #LATICchat
