A1: Apps have brought some amazing technology to the field of education. They have allowed educators to be efficient and accomplish more in the classroom. #EDpiper
Its the basics in 1st grade... If you telk kids they get to use an "APP" they forget they are "learning" my kids will do anything for ipad time! #EDpiper
I sure did, it was busy but great! The kiddos really enjoyed meeting with y'all today. They would come back and show us their sticky notes and share the encouraging words they received.
A1: Apps have totally changed the world... “there’s an app for that” Ss don’t have the same needs as they once did bc of the ease of access to sophisticated programs that apps offer #EDpiper
It's 30 but it's not wet and windy like my last trip so in a weird way, it doesn't seem bad....of course, i'm saying that while sitting in the hotel! #EDpiper
Schoology because I can set the parameters and offer questions in several formats. The data piece is priceless and allows me to respond as a teacher in real time. #edpiper
A2: Two of my favorite apps for formative assessment are @Flipgrid and #gsuiteedu because they allow two way communication and provide an avenue for student feedback. #EDpiper
A1: Apps in the classroom transform learning when Kindergarteners and 4th graders can "speak the same language." Once a wk my 4th graders visit a kinder class to share their tech-savvy skills. It's nice when Ss 5+ yrs apart can be on the same page! #EDpiper#misdproud
I love using @Classkick in kinder so much of our addressing is 1:1 and this makes my love much easier! It allows me to give immediate feedback and see who needs help.
Thanks to @fasanitj i was able to try out Padlet in a different way! Having them record themselves allowed us to learn from each other & gives me the chance to assess! #ccefixerupper#EDpiper

I love using @Classkick . In kinder so much assessing is 1:1 and this makes my life easier! It also allows me to give immediate feedback, and see who needs help on specific questions! #EDpiper
A2:@Flipgrid is one of my faves for formative assessment! 15-second to 5-minute videos to respond to prompts; teachers and peers can provide feedback. #misdproud#EDpiper
We started using this recently as well! I agree that the time restraints are great to really keep students focused and highlight their learning. Teaching Kinder I’ve learned they REALLY love to make LONG videos and this app is great! #EDpiper
A3: #GoogleSlides are my #jam for intervention - build out links to specific slides for Ss per need. Also, I really love ❤️ @Newsela bc you can change the reading level on articles for Ss as needed #EDpiper
@lhelton15@Mentimeter does a lot. It's great if you want to ask open ended questions and see the results live. It does std quiz stuff too. Here's a screen shot.
I've used it for workshops and for collaborative discussions. #BigFan#EDpiper
A3:Of course can’t remember the name, but it’s an app that gives you a 100’s chart and students are able to fill in the chart in different ways- depending on level or if they want to challenge themselves. It also records them doing it with or w/o a catchy tune #EDpiper
A3: Google Forms. We are working on a form for Ss to fill out at various points throughout the semester to check their grades and have it e-mail home to parents. #edpiper

A4: @Flipgrid is a pretty sweet collaborative tool at all levels. Ss answer questions by a quick video and they can respond to each other’s answers with videos. Super fun to #appsmash and incorporate @AdobeSpark videos into the @Flipgrid too #EDpiper
A4: Google Docs and Padlet are my favorite for collaboration. I can view students' progress and provide immediate feedback. Using Docs, students can respond to my comments. Padlet and Docs are great to use with other educators.#edpiper#UMedTech#EDL577UM
Lexia is a R based program that allows S the chance to work through different concepts depending on individual level. It goes through 6 different levels and needs mastery before progressing. Also provides lessons for T to help group S & interventions #EDpiper
I like to do our unit previews as collaborative google slides. Ss work with the theme, vocab, and essential questions for the unit. I throw random things in like #wordle or have have them post the whole thing on @padlet make them embed @YouTube videos etc. #edpiper
In kinder we have kiddos who really struggle to write. I've started having them record their sentence with their iPad to help them write. This has changed writing for mine who struggle! So simple, yet so helpful!#EDpiper
R5: I have been testing @WeVideo this semester and had my Ss make public service announcements about genetic diseases. Very easy to create videos, add transitions and music, and upload to @YouTube#EDpiper
Lol! I'm glad you cleared that up for me! I was a little unsure but come to find out, I think most of the Ts on our campus are app-smashing lunatics!!! Yay us! #misdproud#EDpiper
A5: one year I was “overzealous” with my #appsmashing#EDpiper I had Ss create a storyboard in slides, illustrate in google drawings, combine in book creator, then record story videos with audio voiceover using QuickTime and post to @padlet
Yes! The lessons it’s says they are struggling on are truly indicators I’ve seen in the classroom. Plus it’s updated weekly so the quick feedback is so nice for weekly lesson planning! #edpiper
R1: apps have made learning and creating cheap and easy for our Ss. There are so many apps available for our Ss. It’s important to find one that works for YOU! #EDpiper

On a different note, it has also been mentioned before. With all the app talk, keeping track of all the apps/participation is huge. A major fan of the classic Apple Classroom. #mustberepeatedagain#EDpiper#EDpiper
R2: @Flipgrid. I can pose a question to my students and can check their understanding quickly and easily. I can play their responses during passing periods, lunch, or in my car on the way home. Tomorrow I can solve any conflict on understanding. #EDpiper

R3: @CanvasLMS is my go to program for creating an area for reteaching. I also use #KahnAcademy for videos on topics. Finish it off with @GetKahoot for Ss to reinforce. #EDpiper
A6: Google Classroom is great for differentiating instruction. Seesaw is great for uploading videos where students can explain and show their work.#edpiper#UMedTech#EDL577UM
R5: I’ve used @googleslides to create pics that were then loaded into @WeVideo with content and pictures of genetic diseases. Kids knew how to do this without my help. #EDpiper
Friends, please consider joining @averyteach on Wednesday at 10:00 pm EST for #IDedchat as we talk about reinventing schools. What would your ideal school look like? #EDpiper
