Overnight camping in Sequoia Forest with wife and kids. My Dad joined too.
Felt like a new era for old tradition.

A1: My goal is to be a useful resource and aid to the teachers and students I work with. I want to help our schools achieve excellence in any way I can. #IEedchat
A1:One big goal for this year? I want to work on getting more certifications: Google, CUE, Common Sense Media etc. I want to up my skillz... lol. #IEedchat
A0: Hi everyone - Tom Ashley here, Tech TOSA @puhsd@PalomaValley High School. Chicago left an impression on me this summer! Running in Grant Park and along the waterfront with the city skyline behind it! #IEedchat
A2: I have to focus on my goals between September and January - no time after that. I'm not so much concerned with the certifications as I am with rounding out my skills on various platforms. #IEedchat
A3: All students should have the goal to improve their reading and writing. And I would add that students need to gain literacy in reading and understanding today’s media platforms. #ieedchat
A3: I think all students should have a grade goal, a character goal, a human goal and a physical goal. The reason being that they can complement each other for the better of the self #IEedchat
Agree and Disagree.
Positive feedback to continue certain things. AGREE.
Last few months I've been thinking about what some have to say with embracing criticisms b/c only positive feedback stalls growth.

A3: Students should strive for continuous improvement. Try to do better than the previous year. Like @rguztec said, they should have concrete goals too. #IEedchat
A2:
#LessonStudy is ongoing by nature.
I think the measure of success will be in seeing it growing in frequency and across more classrooms locally.
#IEedchat
A3: I think all students should have the goal to achieve personal growth. Students should feel at the end of the year that they have made 'leaps and bounds' in their learning and they are prepared for the following school year. #IEedchat
A4: Educators can model transliteracy. Model how we read, write across platforms, tools and media. This includes being literate in programming languages. #ieedchat
A3:
Developing #DigitalCitizenship student leaders @HeritageHSPats
As a school and a District we've learned how to become @CommonSenseEd certified, & we still have lots of growth to make. One place it seems is having the Ss own more of the process, get them to lead.
#IEedchat
A4:
One thing in particular to help build Student #DigitalCitizenship leaders:
Start with my Peer Tech Tutors that work in the ScholarBar. Making it part of our curriculum. Measure it with @CommonSenseEd , @iste standards, etc.
#IEedchat
A5: Schools almost always have posted, measurable goals - which is a good thing. Ts need to focus on equity issues that ensure each student get the support they need to find success. #IEedchat
A5:
Take a risk. Grow 10%. (cc @steve_leinwand)
10% is different for each percent. Find that sweet spot where you are growing with something new, but not hurting yourself into digression.
#IEedchat
A4: I can help students with their goal by building relationships, taking with them to find out their goal and help point them in the right direction, and offer encouragement. #ieedchat
A6: I guess I can look at Digital Citizenship resources at @CommonSenseEd as well as look for positive quotes for a social media campaign like @DeatraLee#IEedchat
A5: @PerrisHigh goal this year is to build a positive culture and build relationships. I am looking forward to our Panther Camp the first three days of school. #ieedchat
A6: To reach school-wide goals, your peers are your best resource. Everyone (well, almost everyone) needs to come along for the ride for there to be school-wide success. #IEedchat goals below...
FT: Set goals for yourself to challenge yourself and to make sure you grow. Have your students set goals and pursue site goals that will benefit the school site. #IEedchat
FT: I'm looking forward to a year of growth, both professionally for our teachers and myself, as well as academic and social/emotional growth for our students. #IEedchat
