The mission of #TynkerChat: Are we adequately preparing students for an unknown future? Can we, through community and sharing, make this unknown “known?” Let us lift up the conversation about making sure that when our students enter the workforce- they have the skills to thrive.
#TynkerChat will be held every Monday, starting March 13th.
As usual, we're using the typical Q & A format! Join the conversation! First question in 2 min! This week we're chatting about a New Year of Coding. Follow along on our @participate page here: https://t.co/JZuKChWjZP#Tynkerchat
A1: I don't know about "year of coding" - we'll be doing coding for sure but I want my students to delve more into other computer science concepts as well. For the coding, there will be plenty of physical computing involved. #tynkerchat
A1: I transferred from the classroom to a tech integrator position this summer and plan to help teachers use @gotynker to bring CS and STEM skills to their Ss. #TynkerChat
A2: I did get to see this and it is exciting. I will be honest though, I am not sure how I will incorporate this in early elementary. Maybe partner with older SS first? #tynkerchat

A1: We just started last week and I only see my classes 1 wk/month. I hope to start the coding in Sept. in the next rotation. I need to work on my lessons - a bit behind.
A3: For me it will be incorporating more #STEM with our core curriculum to demonstrate understanding. This is something I worked on over the summer. I also hope to do more with #coding with more in depth @gotynker#tynkerchat
