A 1 BCS admin leadership had Morris Morrison speak! Positive outlook, positive message Huge effect
A1 Apple Distinguished Schools in KCS; gave us as a Pinch team to reflect and realize what things we are doing for the kids

Reflection is a great tool that many educators don't utilize but it's so powerful for change
You should share what he talked about :)
That was a great experience too. So many wonderful learning opportunities it is hard to pick one
The Learning 20/20 Team & Vanguard coaches offer expeditions. We meet on location. Ts create lesson plans & digital products.
I ordered a sweet door prize gift today!
Any resources to share from it? :)
true we got to see what we do and don't do enough of
any hints for our chatters?
This is why I wish more Ts would blog... gives you a chance to see what you do and need to improve as well
A2 My most recent summer PD was pretty good-my first technology PD, so I learned a lot of valuable things that I use now.

Awesome! Take good care of all those fine folks. :D Glance all you like :D
Prob cutting out for the night. Bottom line: never been to large conf. THIS is THE PD that skyrocketed my growth as an educator.
Are you tracking what you've done and sharing your story? :)
I hope your PD provides exposure. If educators can't see what it looks like, results in minimal movement.

A3 New tools & strategies finished a DigiCit lesson about internet responsibly Ss project to show learning choice & more choice
A3: much of what I learned I was using, but now I've picked up more ways to use the same tools, since thus summer PD was tech

A3 New tools & strategies finished a DigiCit lesson about internet responsibly Ss project to show learning choice & more choice
A3: Used Socrative Space Race with T’s today to do CCR Standards scavenger hunt. Thanks team for the support.
New tricks for old tools are always a great way to stir things up!
I need to look more into cause I haven't really used that yet
what coding program are you using?
A3: Sharing a lot with our Title I. Its already helped her with family involvement, which was one of our sessions.
A3: Plan lessons for Ps & Ts that encourage choice and the 4 Cs!

A4: I learned how to use Touchcast today. Wish I was still in classroom. So many ideas of ways for students to use it.
A4 I'm using our free Office 365 stuff a lot this year. Once I got the hang of it, there's so much value. https://t.co/bgqB0I8GZM
Q4: What tool would you like to share? Tell us your favorite new one, or share an old favorite! https://t.co/QSk6GGck87
Using 365 more completely... new Ts PD group.. videoed, resources all in groups for them.
A4: I love Google Classroom. I'm in a district and using it to design self-guided PD sessions for staff
A4 I think just the idea that tech is a tool, not the answer to everything. Use the best tool for the job.
It seems like the Ss have much better projects when they are able to choose.
Hello everyone.....wanted to say hi. Working on a project at Apple Academy. Will read the chat dialogue later. I hear it's great!
Ready resources make it easier for Ts to learn and use new tools
Never heard of that one. What's it do?
A4: A high school student told me that Google Docs changed her life! She was a hoot, but so serious. I kinda agree :)
A4: for personalized, differentiation and mastery instruction
Retweeting for TRUTH! https://t.co/4mYSOoD14i

A4 iMovies r great 4 giving kids an entertaining way to briefly show what they've learned
I learned this re: AT, but same philosophy for ed tech- what's the goal?

Q5 incoming in a couple of minutes!
A4 been doing multistep wordproblem video explanations since last yr small group tackles a ? all week presents a short video on Fr
A4 for Ss to write kind and inspiring messages for our Cyberbullying unit. to make animated gifs
A4: I forgot Schoology. Changing how we do PD and how many T’s run their classrooms.
A5: Give T’s and admins Choices for their PD. We differentiate with S’s - need to do the same with adults.
reminding me of tools from that I forgot abt- Kahoot too...
A5: Choice is key. If Ts choose their PD, they are more motivated. If Ss choose their tools to show learning, they will be too
When we choose our own PD, we choose what meets our needs/wants
totally think using it to share info from class visits and students!
A5: campfire time and cave time- I haven't used like I say Im going to but I hope to
A5: Let students approach a task from their thinking, not ours. They can be great problem solvers when given the opportunity.
A 5 along same line as everyone. Choice! Focus on becoming a learning school
And sometimes they think of answers that we never considered!
A5: discussed this in my admin internship this summer- plan your year/curriculum, then think abt tools/programs
A5 -- I'm all about the flexible learning environment this year. Let Ss choose how they want to interact with learning space.
campfire time is a time that the class comes together and talks about what worked and didn't; cave time is alone time
Oooh that makes great sense and is easily understood
Be intentional. If you don't plan it, it won't happen! https://t.co/i1nUCTAUmP
A5: discussed this in my admin internship this summer- plan your year/curriculum, then think abt tools/programs
A5: this helps in addressing vision and also lets you see you have a variety of resources to address need...
A5: Flexible learning environments. This is a class at JAMS.The T’s made the tables from tires! https://t.co/mQHLDbGoFs
We have started a KCS Green Screen collaboration project. Like a digital round robin story
Yep. Otherwise you're just planning to use a tool to use it, not to use the tool to let them change their world
A5: and then you can differentiate based on student need and preference
Would love to know how that goes!
A5 anything that promotes working with peers; Trying my best to prep them for the world which will require working with others...
It's such a hard skill sometimes for students to learn
we may be about to share a chapter or 2 at
Excited to see this year's final product! https://t.co/W9RtI3KzIN
We have started a KCS Green Screen collaboration project. Like a digital round robin story
A5 Also, viewing myself more as a facilitator ... back off and let them DO!
adults too! ;) important!
I learned it from my Apple Vanguard Training
A5 We use the campfire for Ss reflection time after their makerspace class. Put a digital campfire on the smartboard
A6: "I find peace by following the path I've chosen for myself" - I know what I want and need as an ITRT and nothing will stop me!
A6 "Find your tribe and love them hard." A recurring theme from my summer shenanigans. We all need support and collaboration!
this is very very true. is one big tribe!
It is hard to make a computer lab cozy, but bought a colorful rug for lab. Big improvement.
What a great illustration of that concept!
I try to really underscore the "Tribe Vibe" in my classroom.
This was part of our keynote today at PLC Facilitator training. We were talking about lesson planning. https://t.co/z5PYICsh1d
I don't know, but no matter how old we get, we should always be learning
Awesome PD philosophy! https://t.co/t2Hwre6ejZ
