A1: We don't do themes, but everyone is gearing up for the holidays in whatever way they can. Our time is pretty well tied up with teaching our Tier 1 curriculum lessons. Seems like there is not enough time for extras. #4thchat
A1: I put snowflakes everywhere starting in December! Did you know the shape of the snowflake depends on the temperature it was when it froze?! #4thchat
A2: we have to be respectful of our students. Sometimes I have S’s who can’t participate in certain lessons so I try to give them the opportunity to do something else that is learning about winter time. 1 tradition I have is S’s making cards for ea other #4thchat
Hey Twitter pals! I want to lead a home ec student interest group for 4th and 5th grade, but am blocking at sewing and cooking. What else should I include? #sdedchat#fledchat#4thchat#edchat#tlap
Nope - just learned something new. Have you seen those really big, 3D snowflakes. https://t.co/EAyouoMFET#4thchat We made those & sent them to Newtown that horrible year.
A3: We are a culturally diverse group, so each student gets to explain ways they celebrate the season. It is aways fun to learn how others from different countries do the season. #4thchat
A3: I try to find out about important holidays for them at the beginning of the year and then make sure to try and incorporate learning about that holiday during this time of year. #4thchat
A2: Our schools can share information about different holidays, but we can not focus on one holiday in particular. Most teachers use a winter theme. #4thchat

Totally understand. Being exhausted is just the way to feel at this time of year. Luckily our term ends on Dec. 21 so we get to work on report cards over our break. #4thchat
Sorry, that should have been Shadows! We’re researching various celebrations that include light, or a recognition of the dark of winter and the return of spring, like Winter Solstice. Then we look at links to Hanukkah, Christmas. #4thchat

A6: My students would create a toilet paper/tube sock snowman and then write a How To essay. https://t.co/u5UeCQbpWu#4thchat Always one of my favorites.

A10: One of my favorite holiday traditions is to join others for Caroling in the Square (Jackson Square). https://t.co/xdiFZrongY Also enjoy going see a movie with friends on the day after Christmas. #4thchat
