Q1: What are some ways I can start including technology in my social studies classroom?

Google Expeditions is great. You can show kids places that can’t be displayed in a 2D format.

Great, thanks. Is that similar to google earth?

It is similar! Google Expeditions allows a teacher to act as a “guide” to lead students (explorers) through 360° and 3D images while pointing out interesting sights along the way. So you can add in cool facts and have control over the group.
