5 minutes in no worries Jeremiah, math jedi, late for no reason
That’s our first question. I’m very fortunate I got that coming into my position.
I probably should have just sent a pic of the trunk of my car... that's the space I really work out of :)
A1: I would love to have a mini treadmill under my work station so I can get my steps while working.
A1: A stand up desk for sure. Any recommendations?
Hey Tom. Great to see you tonight. You ready for next week, by the way?
At least you didn't say work in!
https://t.co/Vm1UF9Mdmv
I probably should have just sent a pic of the trunk of my car... that's the space I really work out of :)
A1: I like my work space; hardly ever in office, so I’ll say self-driving car to maximize time between sites, or play on my phone.
Barb, instructional coach, I work with a multi screen set up on my stand up desk in a corner of a resource/ book room

Hi ! Ari is here, checking in late! I'd love a sitting/standing desk. I can't do just one.
LOL! I need to find a portable desk and then I'd really be set!
A1cont: I think having the wall behind and next to my work station painted with white board paint would be great!
A1: I'd like a treadmill too ! And the cat6 ports to work closer to my desk so I didn't have cable everywhere.
A1cont: I’ve wanted to create a mini makerspace for the district office this year. Maybe a project for next year.
Great point. I think some cable organizer would be another item I want to get.
love the option I have. I find w/ data entry i wander away when standing. required to sit for that.
Nice! I need a new bag... really a cart. Something sturdy to hold all my devices &math manipulatives!
A1: my phone to be at my desk, currently across the room, although I do get in a lot of steps on my fitbit that way
Stand up desk for me & small couch and table for Ts to feel relaxed when we chat...lamps lots of lamps!!
a1 treadmill would be perfect!
Howdy, ! Amy from Modesto here. :) I am not at my desk much - on my prep and when planning mostly.
i'll take a pic of my 20 ft yellow cable so you can check it out. it's kinda hilarious.
yeah, basically the same here. MacBook Air, bag and iPhone!
Me too. I’m lucky to have that kid of desk. My desk is on hydraulics but hasn’t gone down since I got it though. :)
OHMYGOSH that'd be the BEST!!
+ research shows too much of one isn't healthy either
I'd love the desk area to have an auto clean up feature. And hidden compartments.
A1: Standing desk with power, dry erase walls
sometimes we need that excuse to get up!
A1: Time to actually be in it. Or better functioning WiFi so I can use my Chromebook effectively in it.
A1cont: Having an entire wall painted green would be great. got that done w great turnaround time too.
A1) I'd love the desk area to have an auto clean up feature. And hidden compartments. It might as well be able to raise and lower
right!?? I could get a lot done, or some extra rest if someone or something just drove me from site to site!!!
fun and can we add a disco ball from the ceiling and a green screen wall?
Looks an awful lot like my space-- piles everywhere these days!
I'd like a station in the water. Maybe goggles & snorkel to go along...not sure how that would work
Oh how nice a stand-up desk would be!
A1: I love to use the little laptop desk on the couch while grading. I wish for a charging station and more room for a mouse!
A1: stand up desk for me & couch w/table for Ts to feel relaxed in when we chat...and lamps lots of lamps
my Ss think it hilarious, as soon as I sit down it rings
Wish I could do the stand-up or treadmill work station - just doesn’t work for me. :(
I get a lottta reading done on my commute
how about Rosie from the jetsons?
A1 I would love a yoga ball chair or a standing desk and some good lighting. Comfy chairs for Ts & Ss who come to me with me too.
Isaiah, that looks awesome!!!
Jumping in late ! Jessica from Oswego, IL! 7th Gr ELA/SS!
I sit on a 65 in yoga ball
We need to invent that for sure!
Don’t know what Q was, but yes, something I do to help Ts. Simple things TOSAs & coaches can do https://t.co/9vVln7H42K
a2 My friend will take over recess duty for teachers to give them extra time.
I would love a hoverboard for my class.
A1: Wishing I had a WINDOW for my current work space!!
Hidden compartments like someone posted Costanza's nap desk?
That looks like fun. Maybe I can get better at swimming too.
A1. new flexible furniture for my health class.
Oh yeah... we're lacking natural light into our space
https://t.co/JiPjOWZHwQ
A1: Wishing I had a WINDOW for my current work space!!
A1 Balance ball chairs are awesome!

TweetDeck doesn't want me to like this tweet - but I do. I sooo need an auto clean up feature!
Isn’t this the truth of TOSAs! https://t.co/Ea2HK6qvUD
I probably should have just sent a pic of the trunk of my car... that's the space I really work out of :)
I wish I had a before picture. When we moved in...smh
A-1 I agree with Ari, I need a sitting and standing desk. I would like an outdoor hammock or hammock chair 4 reading too
How does know about the Jetson's? He's just a pup!
A1: I'd love some type of device for trunk that slides in and out, folds out to desk and chair, and stores my stuff neatly...
lol! That was my first thought too!
a2: oh! Oh!! a working heating/cooling system! Been wearing scarves & gloves during work for over a week now
I really hope I can. Maybe I’ll just use the ask for forgiveness than permission policy.
A1: part 2ish... essential oils. Different lighting. More comfy seating all around.
A1cont: or stand up desk for office time... I hit sitting for too long
A reading hammock would rock! event a foot hammock for under the desk would help.
You reminded me of ideas I had recently.
A1 More of an inspiring place to be everyday when in the office. It's a bit disjointed right now
A1cont: New bistro table outside my office is favorite new addition thx to BTSA team next door! Love working outside!
A-1 oh yeah, also creative space to spread out, whiteboards and sticky notes to post ideas and projects we are working on

I've been wanting multiple levels... a loft for the room. https://t.co/mqVPykiLql
A reading hammock would rock! event a foot hammock for under the desk would help.
What might "hit" sitting mean?
That’s awesome that your Ss did it!
A1- I pretty much have my dream office space now. More wall space for inspiration boards, perhaps?
;p old enough to have four kids!! "it's not the age, but the miles on the chassis"
A2: flexible enviroment, movable furnature-allows for easy collab w peers, write-on surfaces, audio/projection for ALL to see/hear
Ha! Oops.... I "hate sitting" for too long :)
Lots of space to post things and make a mess or I mean organize...haha
A2) One element is flexibility with the space. Can be used effectively for different lessons
We call our office the elevator. It has “no windows and no doors, which offers a chilling challenge” weather? What’s that?
A2 flexible environment, movable furniture-allows for easy collab w peers, write-on surfaces, audio/projection for ALL to see/hear
Ahh, sweet, I sat all day, it sucked today...
A2: Places where kids can sit on the floor or sit at their desk. movable spaces that can be rearranged
Auto clean up! Genius!!! https://t.co/xXP7qx0cXK
A1) I'd love the desk area to have an auto clean up feature. And hidden compartments. It might as well be able to raise and lower
A2: Configurable for any kind of learning
A1: Surround Sound! Quality audio would be awesome.
I like that idea of wall space for inspiration boards!!!
i need it when i am office bound for sure
A2: organization (which I struggle with) to facilitate moving from class to class, I teach 3 different classes, next year 4
I met you in person, and you're even more handsome than your profile pic (:
So important and something most classrooms are missing. https://t.co/qYsVPUKKZs
A2: Configurable for any kind of learning
A2: layout Ss know. Macs go here when not in use, Math bins, Journals, etc. Organization. Nooks for rdg, light/wheely chairs

In different spaces?
https://t.co/reJrTvahqt
A2: organization (which I struggle with) to facilitate moving from class to class, I teach 3 different classes, next year 4
A2: I know of no research, but I love a classroom that feels like a coffee shop, a place to hangout and learning is cool
A2: Creative inspirations, makerspace enhancements, tablets, laptops, notepads, pencils, oh...most of all...Ss!
No you don't, Isaiah. The mind picture is something to forget.
A1:Currently have no assigned physical space. I'm a real itinerant worker, but my refuge Learning Commons & it's ok

LoL, hope you're doing well JR
does it come with a beverage cooler?
We have one room in district office that’s like that. Our TOSA weekly mtgs take place there. Great to spread illness
a2 You need organization and evidence of a routien. W/out that fancy furniture can be a distraction & a waste.
A2 Clean, Safe & Organized, but after that flexible workspace, creative& artistic wall spaces
Options are important Floor, pillows, countertop, desk, standing... let Ss work where they're comfortable https://t.co/Ode9b5l3wI

Thanks bud. I hope you're enjoying these last weeks of school
Joe, I love how you guys always have these amazing examples! Why I love this group, imaginary=real
Yes, indeed!! Can't wait to start spreading the love in my district!
A2: Democratic use of space is vital to showing Ss that they are valued. Hate it when Ts take up 40% of space for personal things.
A2: recently Ts took the leg extensions off of tables and kids sit on the floor on pillows/rugs...cost efficient and flexible
I can make one. If someone can 3d print one for me, that would be awesome.
Welcome Joann! Great to have you join us, especially stay up with us.
A2: Lots of space for students to work, organize, and play.
Indeed, love to discuss some NGSS with you and science in general...a chemist and a physicist walk into a bar...(:

Love how similar my colleague Hilary & I are. So glad I get the privilege of working with her! https://t.co/bVE3b4ixJD
A2 less is more -- don't fill your walls with stuff! Flexible furniture, writing surfaces on walls and on desks

A3 in coaching: walkabouts as TOSA team to develop & plan PD during think-talk-walk sessions right ? more steps...

A3 geeeking!!! Will have a door connecting library to contained green space next year!! Outdoor readalouds, exploration/obs
A3- We had an photo walk ice breaker planned, but ended up doing something else.
. When you combine this issue with Ts who are hoarders it ruins the instructional environment!
We have a garden. Which is amazing! We've also done outside explorations for shapes, words, colors, usually leads to writing act
A3: its Sci, we are outside all the time! Ss go outside to screencast, for labs, to test designs
A3) Occasionally we'll have a group work just outside the room.

A3 in coaching: walkabouts as TOSA team to develop & plan PD during think-talk-walk sessions right ? more steps...
A3: Whenever we can, our TOSA team takes walks. Walk & Talk helps w processing and brainstorming.
i can feel the cozy already!
a3: my room was an extension/one piece of the larger environment so I started rethinking how I use those other pieces, too
A3 I have never done PD outside but that is a great idea! I used to take my Ss out to read in the spring. Calming influence.
Shelves and shelves and shelves of books - and comfortable places to dig in! https://t.co/I4CUNLcaww
Yes! Above all, Ss favorite spot always ended up being curled up in library corner w/ good book

lol... I am currently looking for a sponsor for a coach!
I can imagine how important it is to get outdoors at Tahoe.
A3: Walks, hikes on wkends, sending kids outside to shoot video, bringing in video I took to inspire.
Walking breaks. Check. Adding that to the daily schedule. Great idea!
We just joked about a day at . Important to get Ss/Ts out in the fresh air!
a3: we want our learning to extend beyond the walls of the classroom, so our teaching should, too
. We could do an entire rant-chat on this!
Love this idea!! https://t.co/nXrcKa8QWg
A3 kids write stories/poetry around campus. Put up QR codes of their writing where they wrote. Digital graffiti
A3: haven’t yet moved outside the classroom walls, but have plans for next year. Love reading your great ideas .
I think that’s the 8th open tab from tonight
Popping in super late for a topic I'm stoked abt! Yay, flex learning spaces! Nicole from Campbell, btw
welcome friend to the north!
Definitely important to get outdoor for fresh air and processing time.
welcome! There's no such thing as late to
A3: I’ve incorporated outdoor space in PDs a lot. Great to go outside for icebreaker events rather than staying indoors all day.
come visit us in Fullerton Ben!!! You're welcome to have some couch time!
I've seen has dry-erase tabletops in her classroom! ()
a3: allowing students to work outside independently with their chrome books and they love it.

My 6th graders LOVE the breathing room that outside provides to sprawl out w/ their chromebooks Plus, that fresh air tho.
Ooo, do you have an example of iPad Scavenger Hunt?

Maybe she can use it too - to write the honey do list. :)
. Even spontaneous mini-field trips on campus get Ss imagination. HS Ss love walkin' and talkin.
A3: Throw eggs at sheets and water balloon tosses to discuss impulse. Kinematics races, etc. It's like sneaking in extra PE.

Can you imagine how LONG that list would be?
A4: & they save me daily.
Do you use too? We have a few coaches who do & challenge each other
A4 I need help in this area
Skip the quiet. As long as noise doesn't affect S learning.
sorry Heather. one Sky was working on with a photo scanvenger hunt of sorts
A4) Much of our digital space learning is housed within our class site, and Google Classroom
A3: We'd go out & read in the garden, do geometry lessons on the blacktop/playground, scavenger hunts
a4 Our district LMS (Haiku) Google Classroom, Google Drive, building a website
A4 on my website & are my faves

Nice! Students learn so much through this work https://t.co/Aa7JEdb5aq
A3: we have farm Fridays were Ts and Ss spend half of the day outside tending to the gardens and chickens/fish prek to 6th grade
A4: Of course has been great. Like the Padlet that rules all Padlets.
I love using OneTab for sharing a ton of links too. Great way to share lots of extensions at once.
A4: Best thing I did this yr was to build a Google site for staff. 1 stop shop for calendars, PLC, team info, notes, etc.
with GAFE we have unlimited storage, no clue what I will do if I leave for a district that doesn't have GAFE
for sure!! it is so versatile!!

Ever notice how anyone claims about a messy person, but never a organized person... Just saying
Thanks would love to see an example.
