A2. I want my students to be able to think and challenge ideas when they think they should. Not necessarily because they are following the crowd. But I wonder if they will given current educational practices. #FLedChat
A3: We ask their opinions and follow through with their suggestions. None of us get heard all the time, but most of us can influence others from time to time. Students need the same opportunities. #FLedChat
A3. I have some students that I have been working with on the #SDGs. Because of what they are learning, they want to have a fundraiser and use the money to buy breakfast for the homeless in Daytona Beach. Totally their idea. We will make that happen. #FLedChat

Ours are mostly hip-hop, and pop. The teacher of the other class had his kids do their dances as a flash mob. We will exchange videos and learn each others. The kids have totally taken the lead. I just referee when necessary. #FLedChat

A5. Going to be honest here. Not sure we have moved too far past compliance based on what I see. Really want to see things change. I believe many of my "struggling" or "behaviorally challenged" kids would turn things around if they had more choices in what they learn. #FLedChat
A.5. My daughter left high school as a sophomore. Her main complaint was wasted time. She enrolled herself in FL virtual school and finished at home. #fledchat

She was able to take classes not offered at her H.S., enrolled in dual enrollment at the local college and earned bright futures. It was great for her. #FLedChat
A6: Topics need to be meaningful to them, they need to see the relevance. Work needs to be challenging, but not to tough that they don't think they can achieve it. #FLedChat
