#WO2WorldChat is a monthly Twitter conversation for current educators and school leaders that takes place every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 8:30 PM EST. Diana DaCosta, along with 2 co-moderators from the West Orange Teacher Twitter Taskforce Team will host these monthly chats. #WO2WorldChat's mission is to promote collegiality, collaboration, and professional development beyond the confines of the traditional school day that in turn will promote the success of all students.
Welcome to the first #WO2WorldChat - I am so excited to be hosting with @Mr_LFord Let the Madness begin! Please introduce yourself and don't forget to use #WO2WorldChat in all your responses tonight.
A1 When I had Ss mo.s w/o breaks came @ the end of the yr; Srs knew they were accepted in a college, almost done/Senioritis; I likened the time to the 23rd mi of the NYCMarathon. I'd peptalk stamina & endurance. Srs don't like cute #WO2WorldChat#MarchMaddness
Hi! I'm Maria from Redwood School, 5th Grade ELA/SS, edTech Tribe Member and part of Teacher Twitter Taskforce Team. So excited for our 1st #WO2WorldChat Thanks to @beccapelli and @Mr_LFord for being our pioneers!
Len Ford, 4th grade Language Arts/Social Studies teacher at Redwood Elementary School. I'm really excited (and a bit nervous, tbh) to be hosting the 1st #WO2WorldChat#MarchMadness
In order to participate, just follow the format in this tweet. There will be 7 questions. Use A1 to respond to Q1 & remember to include the hashtag #WO2WorldChat
Hi #WO2WorldChat beyond excited to be here! Diana DaCosta, tech integration specialist for West Orange schools. Current status making meatballs and chatting with you all! #multitasking
Hi #WOTweechers, Kristy Lopez, 7th and 8th grade Art Teacher. Just finished shoveling snow 5 minutes ago and made it here! #wo2world#wo2worldchat Here's my Dad turning on the snowblower haha.
A1: to prep myself/Ss for a month without breaks, I do interesting & fun projects. Give them topics, let them pick modality or learning tool (Padlet, Slides, etc). Almost like indep. study. I facilitate. It’s FUN #WO2WorldChat
A1: I prepare my students for a month w/o breaks by supplying them with a month of SNOW DAYS! JK... we have LOTS of movement aka lots of @GoNoodle. #WO2WorldChat
A1: I prepare myself and my students for a month without breaks by trying to set realistic goals of myself and them. Additionally, I try to plan activities with a lot more student choice and creativity opportunities to keep my students engaged. #WO2WorldChat
A1: The ❄️has DEFINITELY helped break up the MADNESS! I planned engaging projects connected to holidays or other events. This year we used more tech, since all Ss have CBs. We used @Seesaw and @Padlet to keep Ss and Ts excited & engaged #WO2WorldChat
A1 Planning fun events in my personal life combats the #MarchMadness & long month of school 1/2 Days for parents conferences & PD sessions for Ts also help break it up. Knowing spring is almost upon us doesn't hurt either and keeps Ts and Ss hopeful...Also #SNOWDAYS#WO2WorldChat
A1: I make sure that I am prepared for #MarchMadness but also that I'm flexible. It's a long month for Ts AND Ss! Keep them engaged through choice, collaboration & tech! #WO2WorldChat
A1 I prepare activities for my class that are interactive and sometimes meet with other classes during these long months. Now that we have introduced more technology into the classroom with @Flipgrid, @padlet, and @googleclassroom. It helps to make a long month. #WO2WorldChat
A1 #WO2WorldChat As a pull-out program, we break up the long month of March Madness with word games (UpWords, Word Ladders, word searches...). @Mr_LFord@beccapelli
A1: To prep myself and my students for a month without breaks, I usually have a really in-depth project lined up that has a lot of scaffolded learning opportunities. Mini projects in the unit that lead up to THE BIG IDEA! #WO2WorldChat#Wo2World#WOTweechers
A1: I think it has everything to do with mindset. A month w/o breaks can be daunting, impossible. That's what it will be if we don't switch the conversation into possibility. Think about what you can create with your Ss with that uninterrupted time! #WO2WorldChat
A1: I make sure that I am prepared for #MarchMadness but also that I'm flexible. It's a long month for Ts AND Ss! Keep them engaged through choice, collaboration & tech! #WO2WorldChat
A1 This looooong month is the perfect time for an indepth project in the LMC. Right now we're preparing for an author visit from @StudioJJK in April so have been digging into his books with all grades. #WO2WorldChat
A1: To take care of myself I get up extra early everyday for some quiet "me" time, which helps my whole day feel more productive. I also do Super Soul Sundays--during which I do at least one thing, big or small, to feed my soul. #WO2WorldChat
A1: To prepare for long month for my Ss I try to make things more engaging through technology. I also try to change up the mundane day to day procedures. #WO2WorldChat
A2 I'd attempt LOTs of collab exps. if I were in the classrm now; Def would share dig portfolios; I used to host an Oprah-style potluck dinn for final read w Ps/Ss reading the same novels; it was a fav event. Ps @ are starved for insight into their YAs I'd Flipgrid! #WO2WorldChat
A1: In a month with no breaks, I try to keep the kids energized and motivated to continue making progress on their instruments. This month I started bringing the kids around school for mini performances. So far so good! #wo2worldchat
A1: I try to make sure we do something active during this long, dreary month. Sometimes just doing a GoNoodle in between activities keeps everyone focused and motivated. #WO2WorldChat
A1: To take care of myself I get up extra early everyday for some quiet "me" time, which helps my whole day feel more productive. I also do Super Soul Sundays--during which I do at least one thing, big or small, to feed my soul. #WO2WorldChat
A1: I try developing activities and lessons that are fun and engaging for the children, but don't take an extreme amount of time since I don't see them daily. #WO2WorldChat
A2: I encourage student connections within the classroom by promoting teamwork. For some tasks, I form partnerships and groups for students and other times I allow them to choose their partners. #WO2WorldChat
A2 Moving to student-centered learning allows for multiple connections as Ss work together to explore & showcase what they've learned.Breaking down classroom walls by connecting with other classes via @padlet and @Flipgrid has been essential in making S connections #WO2WorldChat
A2: Tech. has definitely broken down the walls of the classroom and allowed Ss to connect with Ps and other Ss around the world. We've used @Padlet to share our learning with other 1st graders. They were AMAZED that they could communicate with their friends. #WO2WorldChat
A2- Team work is so important. We do a lot in the classroom to encourage working together in the classroom, but recently we have been using #googlehangout to connect #Wo2World. Recently connecting with other Ss to teach tech. #WO2WorldChat
A2 #WO2WorldChat As a pull-out program, we take a few minutes to talk socially. As a reading specialist, I try to encourage teachers to collab in/out of school walls. Morning meetings work great, too. @Mr_LFord@beccapelli
A2: Student collaboration is so important + valued in my CR. I work w/ Ss in Sept. to help them learn how to give feedback and listen to each other. #flexibleseating is key too. #nomorerows#WO2WorldChat
A2: I use my own Tweeter feed to connect Ss to authors. I also love to share posts from @thelivbits and use @padlet for Ss collaboration.
#WO2WorldChat
A2: I encourage student connections within & beyond the classroom by taking a few minutes each day to have ordinary conversations with them. #WO2WorldChat
A2, part 2: I encourage student connections beyond the classroom by connecting with other classes within the school when the opportunity presents itself. I really want to push myself to connect my students with other students in this district and beyond. #WO2WorldChat
A2: I try to encourage student connections within the classroom and beyond by providing the opportunity to talk while they work, work together on a projects such a papier animals, partnered activities, or even students helping other students. #Wo2World#WO2WorldChat#wotweechers
A2: In reading, Ss read and listen to a partner daily. We participated in a @padlet that @MamaBearTeele set up to develop connections outside of our classroom & school. Ss were excited to hear from kids they didn't know but that lived in #westorangenj#Wo2WorldChat
A2: So many opportunities like #GRA18 & #GKP18 to connect w/ Ss within school & beyond. During #MarchMadness why not schedule a #mysteryskype to create a connection &nurture collaboration w/ another class f/ the remainder of the year w/tools like @Padlet & @flipgrid#WO2WorldChat
Not sure how to join #WO2WorldChat but March has certainly been exciting with Dr. Seuss’ birthday, our Leprechaun visit, upcoming author visit- and Laura ‘ kids’ talking bulletin board! I am in awe!
A2 #WO2WorldChat As a pull-out program, we take a few minutes to talk socially. As a reading specialist, I try to encourage teachers to collab in/out of school walls. Morning meetings work great, too. @Mr_LFord@beccapelli
A2: Within the classroom, having tables and flexible seating has transformed my class. Ss are able to collaborate so much more. Technology has also built more connections with parents. Our favorite is @Seesaw! #WO2WorldChat
A2: Using Google Classroom this year has allowed Ss to make connections with music outside of our class. S are excited to be connected when they go home through various activities and resources available in the google classroom. #wo2worldchat
A2 - Another way I got Ss to connect was video chatting with the composer of one of our pieces. They got to interact with the composer, ask questions, and receive feedback about their work. It was awesome! #wo2worldchat
A3 In Lit circles we rotated resp of ?generation, critiquing, expression for Ss; I'd allow MUCH more choice/assessmt generation among my Ss now; I created a show of Ss singing, performing their poetry - I'd have a youtube channel #WO2WorldChat
A3 I'm such a diff T now - I'd give SO much more agency/choice if I were back in classrm now; S Empowerment/Leadership needs the space for agency & decisions. I'd loosen the reigns #WO2WorldChat
A3: I promote student leadership within the classroom by letting students teach some of the material. After modeling our daily edit for the first few months of school, I start to turn it over to a different student each day. They really seem to love it! #WO2WorldChat
A3: Giving Ss a voice and encouraging them to use it is the first step. Giving them choice in how they show what they learn is important, too. Ss as young as 6YO can take leadership roles in the classroom. #stuvoice#stuchoice#WO2WorldChat
A3 I encourage Ss to show leadership by taking initiative when they have an idea. Ss created, "The Kindness Committee" this year. They drafted a proposal letter and met with the principal to pitch their idea. Ss now post inspiring quotes around Redwood School #WO2WorldChat
A3, part 2: I also choose leaders every month within my classroom to pick a team to sit with for that month. The leaders are responsible for keeping their group on task. #WO2WorldChat
A3 Student leaders is something our class uses often. We have students partner up to help with new learning. We also have students be leaders to other grade levels when they are doing something that we are familiar with ie- teaching K Ss how to use @Flipgrid. #WO2WorldChat
A3: Leadership comes naturally to some Ss and as long as the T creates a safe learning environment I believe leaders emerge. I encourage Ss to find their voice in the CR. #StudentVoice#WO2WorldChat
A2: I’m open door. Ss know they can reach me & other Ss using #GoogleClassroom or #GoogleHangout Using digital tools to communicate & work together. BUT I still like interpersonal, face 2 face communication. Build social skills. #WO2WorldChat
A3: Leadership is developed in our classroom by giving Ss responsibility and empowering them. Examples, getting everyone's workbook and passing them out, being the line leader, being a peer #tutor. #Wo2WorldChat#buildingleadersforourfuture@MsDeMichele1
A3: I point out to the class when Ss do well at something and allow them to be our "experts" on that. In tech the are "Techperts." Their roles make them leaders!
#WO2WorldChat
A3: I try to promotes student leadership within the classroom/building by recognizing students when they are doing something correctly, with a good attitude - whether it's for themselves, for me, or for the classroom - positive reinforcement! #passiton#WO2WorldChat#wotweechers
A3 - I use Ss to model content a lot. I have some high flyers that I use to demonstrate concepts to their classmates. They love taking ownership and others enjoy learning from their peers. #wo2worldchat
A3: Ss work in groups often. Each with own talents. I put them in charge of projects. They take charge giving tasks & I offer suggestions. Stand back & watch them problem solve. I take hands off approach & nurture the group dynamics & teamwork. #WO2WorldChat
A3: I just incorporated a bulletin board called "Keep the Quote" each week a Ss finds a quote that is positive/ uplifting. They look to see who demonstrated those qualities throughout the week & pass the quote on to them. Ss 💜 it & it promotes student leadership.
A3: I pick two students each day to be math teacher helpers. They get a grading pen and go around to help students with the workbook page. Teacher helpers love writing "Great Job!" or "Super Work!" on their friends' books. #WO2WorldChat
I recommend learn like a pirate by @PaulSolarz - he talks about student centered classrooms that give students choice and voice - very powerful read for any grade level #WO2WorldChat
A4 Publishing S wk clearly made them proud/ there are so many tools to turn work into public displays, I can't imagine how much more I could do in classrm now; @youtube social media would all be a pt of my classrm #WO2WorldChat
#WO2WorldChat That would be a good addition to our committees/ teams! It seems the literacy Committee has expanded its vision. This would give an opportunity for mor teacher leaders to shine!
A4: I celebrate successes by complimenting students and celebrating that success with the group. I use failures as an opportunity to have a conversation about how Ss can learn from their mistakes and grow in order to be successful in the future. #WO2WorldChat
A4: We always celebrate success, but this year has been all about the failures, with tech integration. Letting our Ss see us push through failures as we learn something new is SO powerful- modeling problem solving skills to use when they get to a road block. #WO2WorldChat
A4: I celebrate success and failures with my students by always providing encouragement and letting them know that it is not ok to not try but that it is ok to make mistakes. #WO2WorldChat
A4 Success: Posting about S successes via @ClassDojo so Ps can share in it, acknowledging Ss in front of the class or having a private chat w/ S about how proud I am Failures: Discussing how we might do something differently to get a different outcome #WO2WorldChat
A4: This year I am trying to make more positive phone calls home to parents to celebrate Ss success. Within the classroom we celebrate during our Friday afternoon class meetings. We acknowledge mistakes by saying "it's cool!" #WO2WorldChat
A4: Success is celebrated daily w/high 5s, good jobs. Failures are recognized as learning experiences. What can we learn from this mistake, what can we do differently next time? If a S gets a wrong answer, they still are praised for their effort. #Wo2WorldChat
A3: Outside of my classroom, but still within the school, my 5th graders are safety patrols. I encourage them to be leaders and role models for peers and younger Ss. They're also the cast and crew for our morning announcements which are recorsed for the school. #WO2WorldChat
A4: We celebrate with high fives, lolly pops, + fun activities! Failures are just the same we learn from them + celebrate what we took away from it. #geniushour provides a lot of successes and failures and all are celebrated in my CR. #WO2WorldChat
Celebrating success is something we do often. It is easy for Ss to share what they have done well. We use failures as ways to learn. I even show Ss when I do something wrong and show how failure=growth and have them learn from them. #WO2WorldChat
A4: I share my own failures and successes with my Ss. I cold write in front of them on the board, share my own thinking and show my mistakes. I celebrate my Ss every opportunity, everyday! #WO2WorldChat
A4: I love to read/learn about people like Disney or Edison w/Ss so they can realize that some of our greatest inventions/creations came from some of the biggest failures of people who persisted! #WO2WorldChat
A3: I promote student leadership by making students “peer tutors.” They assist their peers who need a little extra help and it really bridges the gap between “down time!” #WO2World#teamwork#kidshelpingkids#kindergartenrocks
A4: we don’t fail. We succeed every day because everything, even a wrong answer, is a learning opportunity. That’s success. Learning from your mistakes. And we celebrate every little thing every day! #Strive4ProgressNotPerfection#WO2WorldChat
A4: I also like celebrating successes via Class Dojo--I put up photos of things the kids have done and encourage parents to share photos with me of things the kids are doing at home so we can share the photos and tell the stories in class together. #WO2WorldChat
A4: Playing an instrument is hard and is often a struggle, but it is essential to encourage and nurture S progress. I try to praise Ss often and always offer constructive feedback. It's amazing when Ss realize their own growth and progress from Sept to now. #wo2worldchat
A4: I share my own failures and successes with my Ss. I cold write in front of them on the board, share my own thinking and show my mistakes. I celebrate my Ss every opportunity, everyday! #WO2WorldChat
A4: I've been slightly obsessed with Mr. Rogers clips. This is great one to share with the little ones to help them understand and appreciate failure or coming in last. https://t.co/1KJtPBi9gc#WO2WorldChat
A4: I celebrate student successes with praise & attention, & those special hardworking kids get Student of the Month from ticket raffle for 7th & 8th grades.I buy art prizes like sketchbooks, color pencils, play doh. Failures are encouraged to try again #wotweechers#wo2worldchat
So important to call home for the successes our kids have.. I don't do that nearly enough. I do post often on @seesaw to showcase student work #WO2WorldChat
A4 : @MsRommelBand Yes--showing them how far they've come sometimes really shocks them. Sometimes I'll take out a writing piece from September so they can make a comparison with what they are doing now. #WO2WorldChat
A4: I also like celebrating successes via Class Dojo--I put up photos of things the kids have done and encourage parents to share photos with me of things the kids are doing at home so we can share the photos and tell the stories in class together. #WO2WorldChat
A4: ELA and Chemistry Successes and failures @ the HS level - by establishing respectful relationships with my students - students feel safe receiving private, specific, actionable feedback face to face (as well as in writing) #WO2WorldChat
A5 Making connections with Ts from other districts has helped me to better practices. Sharing ideas and showcasing work using @Twitter@Instagram and other platforms has opened up a library of ideas! #WO2WorldChat
A5: This year, I've been focusing on building a network of colleagues beyond both in my school and in other WO schools to better your practice as a teacher. I do this by trying to help out anyone that I can when the opportunity presents itself. #WO2WorldChat
A5: I have been using Twitter to build a network of colleagues and better my practice as a teacher. Facebook also has some great teacher groups! #WO2WorldChat
A5: Following my fellow Ts in the #WO2World PLN and many experts in education help get new ideas to use in the classroom everyday. I'm looking forward to more chats, like this, to connect with other educators in WO and beyond. #WO2WorldChat
So important to call home for the successes our kids have.. I don't do that nearly enough. I do post often on @seesaw to showcase student work #WO2WorldChat
A5: I am very lucky to have lifelong best friends like @dsirotiak who are also amazing Ts! I love our chats! Twitter is also my FAV place to find great Ts! What better way to share our practice! #WO2WorldChat
A5, part 2: This past year, I switched grades. The transition has been challenging at times. Using Twitter, I've have followed a bunch of people with great ideas to use in my class. This has helped a lot. Next year, I'd like to build my network beyond WO schools. #WO2WorldChat
A5: TWITTER! @Twitter has helped me grow a PLN and it is amazing! I worked with @mcnairan3 on a #ghbookstudy and met some amazing teachers. It is free PD 24 hours a day. #WO2WorldChat
A5: Twitter, twitter chats, facebook groups, and constantly networking with other educators and music professionals have greatly helped to expand my PLN. I enjoy hearing other Ts perspectives and sharing ideas that I have trouble disconnecting sometimes! #wo2worldchat
A4: To celebrate daily successes, I call attention to the children that are always doing the right thing or displaying the right behavior. When my students collect ten tokens, they get coupons to be redeemed instead of prizes. These coupons are for experiences only! #Wo2worldchat
A5 #WO2WorldChat Twitter is my new found love for building a network. I am forever grateful for all the connections I'm making. I can't imagine all the networking I've missed out on all these years by not Tweeting. @Mr_LFord@beccapelli
A5 I've been joining twitterchats related to professional library organizations and conferences I've signed up for. Watching my PLN grow. #nErDcampNJ#WO2WorldChat
A4 No such word as “can’t @wohslmc We celebrate failures as challenges that become lessons learned. We try something new every day so...Something has to stick. #WO2WorldChat
A5: being an EdD candidate I have a network of colleagues from other districts that I chat with often. I’ve been a Twitter demon for years & I follow Ed gurus. I seek out suggestions from everyone. But Twitter is my go to link to the Ed world #WO2WorldChat
A5: This year we did the #GRA and I am looking forward to doing it again this year to build more connections for my Ss. I also follow many Ts on Instagram & now Twitter who have been so inspiring. #WO2WorldChat
A5: #31DaysofYAM is a content specific art challenge I started to build community with art professionals, art students/classes, & share the wealth of knowledge & experiences. The more I learned from others, the more I can prep my Ss for a fun art class. #WO2WorldChat#wotweechers
A6 Talking w colleagues I trust was my main way of wking out problems. Now there is so much more insight into others' classes - conversations/reflections are possible in a multitude of ways; I'd seek more vertical & horizontal grade level input #WOTweechers#WO2WorldChat
A6: I reflect upon my teaching and the learning within my classroom daily. If something does not go well, I think of ways to change and improve in the future. I also ask my students for feedback. We do what we do for them, and their take on a lesson is valuable. #WO2WorldChat
A6: Post It Notes.. sounds simple, but I jot down notes after certain lessons about what I would change and place them in my monthly files. That way when next year rolls around I remember the changes I want to make. #alwaysreflecting#WO2WorldChat
A6: I #reflect on my lessons at the end of the day. I think about what my Ss understood and what was difficult for them and adapt the next lesson to meet their needs. Also, calling with colleagues is very helpful. #Wo2WorldChat
A6: I reflect by getting feedback from Ss and talking w/ colleagues. I gain a lot of insight from @amypacifico3@DFerrera521 and @dmdacosta13 - A personal goal of mine to start a blog for reflection. #WO2WorldChat
A6 #WO2WorldChat I reflect at the end of each day by keeping a log (handwritten & digital) of everything I've done that day. Writing it all down helps me to organize my thoughts for reflection and growth.
A5 Reflecting on teaching is key to learning. We often discuss the topic to see if Ss understood, or we use exit tickets. If there was still signs that understanding didn't happen it allows us to approach the topic differently the next day.
#WO2WorldChat
A6 Constantly keeping my phone or post-its near to jot down ideas or things to change in future lessons; running ideas past colleagues; discussing successes and failures with Ss; giving Ss self-assessment and questionnaires to gain their input #beingreflective#WO2WorldChat
A6: I rely a lot on student engagement to reflect upon my teaching and to tell me what kind of learning is going on. I use what I see in the students' engagement or lack thereof to modify my lesson. #WO2WorldChat
A6: Debriefing with colleagues is so important to me and actually asking my Ss how I am doing- what's working and not working. I used to lead with that question during conference w/Ss &parents. That feedback would inform my practice. #WO2WorldChat
A6 I repeat my lessons 3 times a week so by the time I get to the 3rd class it is perfect! HA
If I'm not interested, they're not interested.
#WO2WorldChat
A6: strategies I utilize to reflect? Always reflecting. Writing down ideas in a notebook or in my phone. Talk to Ts for feedback espec. @amypacifico3. Assess what works/doesn’t work. Ask Ss for feedback to assess learning/likes/dislikes #WO2WorldChat
It is so important to reflect on our own process and effectiveness. How can I be more concise? How can I be more engaging? I am regularly trying to find new ways to motivate and reach Ss in my classroom. #wo2worldchat
A6: Listening to my students is my go-to for reflecting on the day. Usually when I hear "Ms. Lopez!-" too many times in one period, all at the same time, in waking life & not in a nightmare...I know I'm missing something. @Flipgrid has been fun to introduce, too! #WO2WorldChat
A6:As with all teachers, I reflect after daily lessons. Teaching the same reason multiple times gives me the ability to gear lessons for certain classes or groups of students. Reflection is so important! #WO2WorldChat
Q6:I had my Ss do a Google Form survey. I asked them various questions about how they enjoy learning, their motivations, if they felt supported or able to ask for help, & what I could do to make learning fun. It was so valuable to reflect and improve on my practices!#WO2WorldChat
A7 I'd like an honest reflection/discussion about A7 Growth Mindset, ego, & control in the classrm as I see those as unarticulated shadows tht can bite you in the butt/make you your own worst enemy (I always mean ME) #WO2WorldChat#WOTweechershttps://t.co/4BBEeYyOeI
A5 I started tweeting a few years ago to advertise the launch of the #mountaineermakerspace + catalog its activities. It’s become so much more, an endless source of inspiration + now...#WO2WorldChat
A6: In lieu of traditional HW, my Ss write me a letter due back on Friday. I write them a letter on Mondays and try to personalize each one a little. My letter will ask them to reflect on something we did or will be doing. Responses help me gauge how things went. #WO2WorldChat
A5: My amazing WOHS colleagues, my smart, committed, grad school friends who teach in other districts Twitter and the amazing work of @cultofpedagogy@brainpickings#WO2WorldChat
A7 I am interested in continuing to find ways to connect outside of our school. I also want to see if there are ways to continue to promote leadership with my students and give them more of that opportunity. Great chat thanks @beccapelli and @Mr_LFord#WO2WorldChat
Q7: Recording my students reading aloud earlier in the year and replaying it for them once they have progressed is an idea that was sparked by one of the responses from @MsRommelBand. #WO2WorldChat
A7 More inspired to learn about #mysteryskype and connect with teachers outside of WO @MsRommelBand I love the way you have connected your Ss with composers and want to look into connecting Ss with experts in the future #WO2WorldChat
A7: I loved seeing everyone's posts!! #WO2World...We are some team! I would like to discuss interdisciplinary ~ Bringing the arts into the classroom in ELA, Math, Sci.& S.S. What does that look like? #artinmyheart#WO2WorldChat
A7: I look forward to more opportunities to share ideas with my colleagues on any and all topics. Thanks for connecting all of us @Mr_LFord@beccapelli Great job! #wo2worldchat
I am very blessed with colleagues that are motivated professionals. More than that, they are dear to my heart. I would take on any challenge for them & know I can count on them. #WO2WorldChat
A6 I would often tell my Ss after a subpar day - I hated yesterday. I didn’t like what I did & I didn’t like what we did together. Can we talk about it? This built trust w my older Ss. This is me every night since I began teaching #WO2WorldChat
A7: This has been so amazing! #WO2WorldChat has been a dream since our first virtual summer book club 2 summers ago & this exceeded any expectations. I look forward to more convos that make @woschools a beacon district for others to learn and grow from- you are all rockstars
A7: This has been so amazing! #WO2WorldChat has been a dream since our first virtual summer book club 2 summers ago & this exceeded any expectations. I look forward to more convos that make @woschools a beacon district for others to learn and grow from- you are all rockstars
#WO2WorldChat this was FUN! I want info on #GRA for social studies. Hangouts with other schools in/out of WO. Interactive tech. And maybe next time 1 post & we all respond in stream so we can find responses? I HAD A GREAT TIME. Nice to have cross district chats #breakingbarriers
A7: Awesome job, @beccapelli@Mr_LFord! What a great first #WO2WorldChat. My takeaway... our @woschools Ss are SO lucky to have teachers like all of you! Can't wait to try some new things with my littles! Thanks for the inspiration!
A7: Some takeaways-I want to connect with other classrooms & build community through art. Topics I want to explore - early finisher creation stations.I'd love to see some close ups of visual arts related projects you're doing in the classroom.Thank you! #wo2worldchat#wotweechers
A7: Id love to connect with other Kinder teachers in the district !! Even though we’re in the same district, we are doing so many different things across the curriculum and it would be great to see the differences and learn from each other! #Wo2WorldChat
Thank you all for joining us tonight. You made the first #WO2WorldChat awesome. Hope to see you all again every 3rd Wednesday of the month for more learning and growing. #WO2World
