A3) I'm not in a building right now, so not really...but a colleague and I did work with a building to create a Kindness Challenge that starts tomorrow between two grade levels that should be GREAT! #OrEdChat
A5: Every nice day for the rest of the year, we're going to take reading time outside. I told my students to bring lawn chairs, beach blankets and beach towels. They are excited to relax and enjoy reading time in a new way...I'm letting go of expectations... :-) #oredchat
A5: I am looking forward to doing Sketchnotes with them & just chatting with them. I always eat lunch with them because it is fun to hear their stories. Be intentional about showing you care for them. #OrEdChat#BetheWildCard
A5: Continue to make sure I speak with each S every class period. Continue to form the bonds I started building at the beginning. Incorporate their interests in our activities and learning experiences. #OrEdChat
A4) Tell them thank you, notice their contributions & strengths, take something off their plate by doing it myself, checking in to see how they are doing & taking time to listen to their answers, support a colleague in a meeting, there are so many ways! #OrEdChat
A5: We are busy preparing a rainforest program for parents. When I mentioned that a storm might make us miss school and knock out a day of learning and practice, a collective groan went up, all but one. He got shut down quickly. That's relationships. #OrEdChat
Thank you all for being here tonight! Homework for this week: look through toolbox and find something new to try this week. Take pics and be ready to chat about what you did and how it went next week! Have a great week and let’s go out and #BeTheWildCard for our students!
A5) The kiddo's I help support often ask me to come eat lunch with them, or come by to just take a walking break with them. I schedule those times on my calendar so I don't miss them! One is now in high school but still asks me to come by for lunch occasionally ❤️ #OrEdChat
Check out my friend Chantelle's amazing choice art studio! I'm sad she moved across the world to teach this year, but she knows how to connect with students. Give her a follow. #arteducation#OrEdChat#Education#edchat

A5: Oh, and when 8th graders kept leaving paper cups on the floor by the water cooler outside my classroom, I made a Yoda meme about it and put it above the cooler. Kids thought it was hilarious & now they pick up their trash! #OrEdChat
