Q1 is only a 60-second time-out away. But you don't have to stop the action during this TO. Keep up the introductions & take a chance to follow those that are here! #pln365
A1a: For me, my one of my goals this year is growing as a professional to make the jump as an administrator. It includes being looked as someone my colleagues look to in times of need and being a part of a community of educators who are pursuing growth. #pln365
A1b: In the classroom, my biggest goal is to motivate students to be learners who can do, instead of only receiving and using the resources around them to pursue their learning. #pln365
A1. The win is getting through the first year I have taught chemistry...and doing it as a flip...and the smaller but just as significant win is converting 2 classes to standards and proficiency scales. #pln365
A1: A win for the school year has been the success of number talks this year. Our students have shown so much growth in number sense because of them. #pln365
Hey Katrina! Thanks for being here tonight! You being from Charlotte reminds me I need to go to IKEA soon and get more stuff for my house! #obsessed#pln365
A1: My win will be to provide my staff with more leadership opportunities. I’ve done this by sharing more responsibilities with them and entrusting them with tasks that I would’ve done in the past myself #pln365
A1. I consider this a win. Building a culture where teachers not only learn with kids, but they play with kids. Building relationships and modeling for other Ts what it can look like. Check out Mrs. Foley playing defense. #pln365
A2: We have kid talks at least monthly, and know where kids are in their academic growth. We watch them closely to monitor their social emotional growth. We remember where they began. #pln365
A2. Constantly speaking truth to myself about why I do the work I do. When I’m tired or feeling beat up. I remember to keep the main thing, the main thing. Serving Ss, staff and families. #pln365
A2: By structuring my classroom using blending learning, self-paced units and mastery-based grading students internalize self-direction, reflection and revision #pln365
A2a: Professionally, I was a part of our district's Developing Administrators Program. Making the connections across the district while being only my 2nd year here is invaluable! #pln365
A2. Setting up structures at the beginning of the year has helped a lot. Things are running smoothly now because of how things were set up properly at the beginning of the year. #pln365
A2: Even though we're on tri-mesters, Lol, my W will be, again, the relationships with my kiddos and their families. It's something I pride myself on! #pln365
A2b: My students received new Dell devices this year and I have been using tech to get us away from the traditional math methods and getting students to see WHY math is important! #pln365
A2. I’m intentional about scheduling time to refill the tank. Rest, play, family, read, exercise, do NOTHING! You must fill your cup in order to pour into others. #pln365
A2) Gave feedback in the form of praise, coaching, and even evaluation all centered around the mission, vision, and goals of the organization: Learning for ALL students. #pln365
A2. I’m intentional about scheduling time to refill the tank. Rest, play, family, read, exercise, do NOTHING! You must fill your cup in order to pour into others. #pln365
A3: Have to keep up the pace. Keep motivating staff by providing resources and different learning opportunities for teachers. Keep empowering them and give them decisional capital #pln365
A3: Then end of a year can test a culture. The climate may shift a little because schedules may be interrupted, kids who don't want summer to arrive may become anxious, and we are tired. A strong culture thrives on positivity and focus on the WHY. That gets the W! #pln365
A3: Slow down! 4th quarter always seems rushed while we try to get as much done as we possibly can...and then more! It's important to breath and listen to the good around you! #pln365
A3: Keep going forward with my students while reflecting on how I can improve what is not working now. It is not too late in the year to change something that is not working! #pln365
A3 Winning is growing. During this last quarter, I think it's important to track your professional growth, celebrate and think about goals for the next year. #pln365
A1: I won a lot! I found my passion again, which is my number 1 win. I taught a lot in station model, collected data on its success, shared that data and my rationale for stat. I met ss where they were and found succ with them. I joined Twitter which is a game changer! #pln365
Recent graduate serving as a teacher assistant and sometimes substitute. Win for the year is feeling confident in just about any classroom I walk in to! #pln365
A3: It is critical we help our students transition to next year during 4th quarter. Students need to internalize that the learning process does not end when Summer arrives. Otherwise they will be in for a rude awakening in the fall #pln365
A2: I set goals for myself for the rest of the year. I am tracking how many times I validate vs how many times I push ss to go further. I have goals for next year. Making a meet the teacher video for parents to be more transparent and creating a project for each unit. #pln365
A4: By helping them recognize when they earned their W! Sometimes, we don't take time to even notice the game because we're focused on the dribbling or the attackers! #pln365
